Skate is much more of a "groove" type game where you are immersed in the laid back attitude of skateboarding. The controls primarily use the two analog sticks to do the board work, and while this takes an hour or two to get used to, it's amazing to work with once you're used to the controls. Nice NEW idea in a stale genre.

this is probobly the best skating game I have ever played in my life the graphics are amazing and the flickit control makes you feel like your actually skating in real life this game rocks!!!

it's a good game that captures the feel of skateboarding but get the second one because it is the same game but all of the bad things of the 1st skate are gone and good things are added

New skating which has a new style of play that involves the left and right sticks. Overall this is a new exicting fun skating that has revaltionized the skating games. So get its worth it.

Skate gives you the feel of actually skateboarding, no more button mashing, just the simple flick-it controls, it takes time to get used to but once you get it its real simple and fun!

This game in my opinion is wayyyy better than the Tony Hawk fanchise... With a few adjustments this game will surelysurpass Tony Hawk and gain more recognition... EA DOES IT AGAIN!!!!

Good game and the controls are revolutionary in the way where an ollie would be pulling back on the right stick and then pushing foward. If I were you and you were thinking about buying this game then I would download the demo on xbox live to see if you would like it or not.

Concept is great and the graphics are excellent. Tricks are very lifelike, but are hard to learn. You have to put some serious time into this game to be good at it.

i've only played the demo for skate the game is going to be so cool no more sitting there just pressing buttons like tony hawk you get to use your right joystick

Just bought this game and it's probably the best skateboarding game I've played to date. It's a lot more fun when there's a learning curve.
