A weird, unique action game.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My mini-review: I feel like this game made a big splash when it was first announced, was promptly forgotten about, and was ultimately released without most people even realizing it. Slitterhead, a title that alone may cause some players to shy away from it, is a weird, original action game that exemplifies the phrase "it's not for everybody". A lot about it seems outdated and its lower budget shows, like NPC's that mill around like robots doing identical animations, and limited voice acting. Look past that, and you're rewarded with a wild storyline about insect-like body snatchers and time travel, a unique (if awkward) combat system and body swapping mechanic, and a very memorable experience full of eclectic playable characters. I liked it, but it's a rare instance where it's tough for me to recommend it. I could see this becoming a cult classic, with a few champions who really loved it but not much in the way of mainstream recognition.

This game needs love
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had to give an actual good review to balance this out. This game is friggin awesome, and so unlike anything available now. Combat takes a backseat to investigative game play on every level, and the game doesn't explicitly tell you where to go. I love this feeling of exploration and discovery. When combat does happen with the titular Slitterheads, it's fast and frenetic, as you constantly switch between humans to gain the upper hand (possessing a new human gives you a short boost to combat). I'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about, the parry system is solid, and I've never not had a parry just not show on screen. You DO have to be locked on and blocking, but that's kind of a given, yeah? The story is amazing, and I have no idea where it's going to go. There's an element that's introduced fairly early on that turns the whole game on its head and encourages replaying missions differently. It's been a heck of a year, and Astrobot is probably still my goty, but this game right here was a very pleasant surprise.

Good, not great
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good effort, unbalanced difficulties. Story is cool, but repetitive, not enough mission variety. Good starting point to see what game they come out with next. Value of the day one edition for the standard price was fantastic, got a CD and some other goodies with it.

Déjà vu times 10
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game had some very interesting elements, but once you have fought the same boss after the third time it gets very old. So much repetitive game play just to experience a lackluster story. But that all aside I really did love the collectibles.

An absolute work of art
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Such a unique experience! The game slowly encapsulates you in the story while providing awesome action. The combat is a bit hard to get a hold of at first but once you kind of get the hang of it by doing the tutorial missions for each chatacter youll be good . This game is a gem and needs more love! If you love stellar blade this is a must cop

No go
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not good at all. Game plays very slowly, combat is lacking, parry system is hard to work with. At times the parry doesn't even register on the screen. Story seems interesting in theory but fails to deliver anything of substance. The monster fights reparative and boring. Save your money and time and wait for a better game. This one is a miss.
