    Worst purchase ever

I purchased this as required for installation. It is not as shown in the picture. It is silver with no protective coating. I purchased a washer and dryer along with all the parts required for installation. The gas line was installed with a kink in it, the dryer vent has several slices where air leaks and they ruined the venting system I installed the day before delivery. I ordered/paid for the yellow coated gas line, I did not get that. I told the installer to make sure the dryer was on the left, that's where the gas line is. He installed it on the right, in front of the water lines for the washer. The washer was installed in front of the gas line. They won't come correct their mistakes for several days. I changed it myself (I am a 64 year old disabled retiree). I had to move the heavy washing machine and dryer and swap positions. I tried to fix the vent. They did not have a connector so they used an additional elbow so the vent was all bent and smashed. I removed the elbow and used aluminum tape to connect the two vent pieces as I was instructed by my local hardware store (as well as taping the tears). Tomorrow I will go buy a new gas line, new water hoses as the ones they installed are way too long and and have to make several turns because the water inlets are only a foot from the washer and the hoses are approx 6+ feet long. The dryer gas line is also 6 ft and the inlet is less than a foot from the dryer. 3-4 feet would be more than adequate. I'll get them all 4 feet so the appliances can be moved. Then all those parts are going back to my local store or refund as I was told I have to go back to where I bought the stuff. I bought it all online, never stepped foot in the store. Customer service would not help me. If you do buy this item install it yourself. I highly suggest self installing it is very easy.

    1. Online ordering - FAIL ( No one reads what you write in the comments section of the order. They show up and then say can’t install it on any floor that is not the first and need 4 people. 4 man job they say need verbal confirmation for appointments , why have an online system then ) 2. Resheduling Appointment- FAIL ( 13days + 5days to install a fridge and washer dryer ? how are you still in business ? ) 3. Returns - FAIL ( System is so broken it processes return of appliances to billing instead of delivery address ) 4. In service appointment - FAIL ( Appointment window 12-4, your men show up at 9:00PM, after 3 phone calls to your call center. ) 5. Payment Refund - FAIL ( Returns only for items was refunded and services which you didnt provide another phone call with a 10 minute wait ) 6. Call center - FAIL ( minimum 2 transfers to talk to any one who can do something )

The product is fine but the installation was very difficult. Five actual service calls and three cancelled service calls were required over more than two weeks before the product was installed. The dimensions on the product are accurate but not reliable because the product takes more space with plugs, hoses, piping and venting. The gas line sold to me did not have one of the required attachment pieces. The first vent kit that was ordered from Sears specifically suggested by the salesman was the wrong kit. The first kit had to be returned, at my expense, and the second kit shipped, again at my expense. Best Buy needs to assist customers with any side venting kits. Its ridiculous to sell a product and not be able to provide the side vent kit needed. However, every delivery and installation person was very pleasant and sympathetic but could not do their jobs in a timely fashion.

I was a bit upset when the Best Buy installers from the Lancaster, PA store showed up with my gas dryer and this gas line installation kit and told me that they couldn't install the gas line as they weren't certified to do this. I tried it myself and couldn't get the fitting correct so I ended up calling a plumber to come out and do it, so I guess in the long run I would have needed a plumber anyways, but I wish that BestBuy.com would be more specific about the installation. I suppose each local store can decide whether they want their delivery employees certified to install the gas line, this particular store decided not to.

Due to this gas line that they picked for the hookup of my dryer, they were unable to hook my dryer up and had to leave it in my garage. This gas line came with a special inline safety gadget that would not hook up to my existing gas line shutoff valve. I was disappointed that it didn't come with an adapter to fit other shutoffs. They never informed me of this possibility . And the install people that came could barely speak English and it was almost impossible to understand what he was trying to explain about not being able to hook it up. I was not happy after spending over a grand on this washer and dryer pair and having to hook up the dryer myself.

I purchased this Samsung Gas range after reading online reviews and comparing product features to the price point. My only initial concern while reading reviews was using the knobs to ignite the burners. After having my new range for a month now, I am very pleased with the purchase. The knob ignitors work great with no issues; the oven has some of the largest room in it's class; the design and look of the stove are classy; and I believe the price was the best-in-class for the features it has.

Great Washing Machine set. Washes everything to perfection. Has a ton of cycles, and the sensors are an absolute fabric saver. The dryer includes this removable rack/platform for dryer things like and other items you don't want to tumble dry. The set is definitely energy efficient, while never sacrificing quality. Also, a lot of ppl dont even realize the washer has a slightly larger capacity cu/Ft wise. Absolutely love the set !!

I bought a dryer from Best Buy for a new house. I also wanted them to deliver and install it. I was told that I would need this gas line if they were installing it. I was in Wisconsin at the time and the new house was in Arizona. I later moved to AZ and found that my new house had a new gas line waiting for a dryer. They came to deliver the dryer and removed the line in place and put this one in. They were identical. I knew that this would happen to make sure that the install would be covered by them. I didn't have problem with it and everything is working just fine.

What can you say, it's a flexible gas line. It does appear to be good quality and it threaded onto the fittings with no issues. I saw another review that said it was the law that this is replaced when installing a new unit. I am not sure that is correct and you may want to check that before you fall for it. It is definitely a good idea to change it but I am not sure it is the law. I do know Best Buy told me they would not do the install unless they had new parts. As someone who has worked in this field for over 30 years I can definitely say it is a good idea to do it.

may want to measure before ordering hard line

This metal line works just fine but if you have limited space in your laundry area (i.e., you are concerned about the depth) you should look into ordering a soft line. When the installer came he said that is what he would have recommended for my space but he didn't have one on the truck. We just had to move our laundry closet doors out a bit in order to accommodate the hard line and a dryer that is a bit deeper than our previous one which was not a big deal. It was information I wish I had before I ordered a hard metal line though. My fault for not doing my homework.

    Wrong Gas Line Delivered

Best Buy in Carson City doesn't know the difference between 3/8" and 1/2" gas lines and they don't work with their installers to make sure the right line is delivered. That resulted in me having to buy yet another line from my local hardware store to get the installation done (I also bought the Best Buy dryer installation package). No refund was offered for the wrong line Best Buy provided. So, don't bother buying a Gas hookup line from Best Buy - at least not in the Carson City NV area.

Unable to reach the bottom of the washer. Was able to reach the bottom of the drum in the store model. Unable to figure out why there is a difference in depth of the washer. The dryer is gas and does not have a steam option even though I got the sales order changed from electric to gas dryer. Delivery and installation crews were very professional and every thing worked without having to comer back for additional installation problems.

A Must Have For All Gas Dryers

These are necessary to use natural gas to heat the dryer. But pay close attention to the size that's needed for your machine. My machine was a 3/8" valve and I had bought a 1/2" hose. Had to run out and buy the correct size for installation. But a new gas line is definitely necessary when buying a new dryer or replacing an old dryer with a new machine. You should always use brand new hardware, I recommend you do this for safety reasons...a must have....

They make this item in various sizes. Of course, since we were hooking up the dryer ourselves, we ASSUMED that they would bring us the correct attachment for the size required for our dryer. It wasn't until later that day when we hooking it up that we found it didn't even match the size of the gas inlet of the dryer and had to go spend another $40+ to get the right size and hookups. Seriously, if you're delivering a dryer, you should at least look at the specs for what size hookup is needed.

Not exactly sure how one differs from another, but it showed up intact, installed relatively easily, and hasn't blown up yet. Have to imagine that's kind of the bar for a gas line. Price was good - was the reason I bought it, figuring these things are all generally the same. The extra $5 or so I saved on this will be far better spend on an overpriced coffee or lousy fast food.

I was required to buy this item for my dryer to be installed but it did not have all the parts for most gas lines it only comes with one 5/8" M to 3/8" M adapter, no 3/4" 1/2" or 3/8" adapters. In addition, the installer told me they don't use the included 5/8" adapter because it does not work. So if you don't have a 3/8" male connection already, your dryer can't be installed. THIS REQUIRED install kit should be a universal install kit and fit most gas pipe sizes.

Warning if you buy a gas appliance at best buy think twice before shelling out for the install package as they will not install it- they drop it off and expect you to hook it up. This purchase of the gas line was misleading- at store they told me I needed it for the install and then the installers refused to install- I would have kept my previous copper line had I known I'd be hooking it up- thanks for swindling me on the install and the addition of this unnecessary line.

I was unaware that we needed to buy a new gas line (not allowed to use old gas line) for our new dryer. Fortunately the BB salesperson was knowledgeable about their appliances to know what was needed for installation & also had these items on-hand. Yes, I probably paid a little more for these items but it was well worth it!

Purchased as a requirement for free installation. Apparently my gas line is too old and had to purchase an adapter. Well the installation crew does not stock the adapter on their truck. The dryer was not hooked up by the crew. Had to purchase the adapter and install myself. Would not have purchased if I knew the adapter was needed.
