Great cover. I had no issues using it. Sometimes it falls off, but it not a game breaker. I enjoy the cover. It keeps the screen protected as well as giving easy stand to view my ipad without difficulty.

SmartCover for the iPad mini looks great, is easy to hold while on the iPad and works great as a stand for the iPad when using the keyboard. Love the magnetic hinge (great idea!) and the ability to put iPad to sleep by closing. So far the cover has been easy to keep clean also. The cover is also very slim so that it easily goes into a more protective cover when going on trips etc. This is my second SmartCover. The first one is still great - just wanted another color! I definitely recommend the SmartCover.

I love how this cover puts the iPad to sleep to conserve battery. The fold of the screen works well for a stand in either vertical or horizontal position.

This smart cover does get the job done. I like that opening the cover automatically wakes my iPad mini, as I use that to quickly check the time or my battery life pretty often. I do have to note that though I ordered the cover in black, I would say the cover is more of a dark grey color. Personally, I really like grey, and probably would've chosen it if it were an option; however, if you are looking for a true black cover this probably isn't it. (Though maybe mine was a fluke?) I will also say that sometimes streaks form/dust gathers on the screen along the lines of the two folds/seams of the cover. It's pretty easy to wipe these off the screen, but it is kind of annoying that this happens.

This is a good protector for the face of the iPad but I would have preferred one that held the entire IPad within its space. As it's an Apple product, I find this expensive for what you get.

The cover is a great addition when buying an iPad! It keeps the screen protected, as well as functioning as a prop-up. I loved the color (had a lot of other different colors to choose from too).

Simple but functional. Cool that it acts as a stand too but wish it came with something to cover the back. Especially for the price.

On my previous iPad mini I sprung for the expensive Apple leather case. It was nice but seemed to wear fairly quickly, and there was always the issue of the cover flopping around while I was using the device. With the Smart Cover (in combination with the Switcheasy case designed to work alongside it and protect the rear of the device), I can retain all the benefits of the Apple leather case and remove the Smart Cover at my leisure while still protecting the back of the device with the switcheasy case. Perfect combo, highly recommended. The plastic also seems to be more durable than the leather, can be cleaned more effectively, etc. great product.

I would have loved a nice protective case but imazingly enough this smart cover is great for keeping the screen clean when not in use and also the easy on and off feature is great.

I expected clever design from Apple and I have not been disappointed. I like the streamline design and easy to use easel. My mini is protected and the cover is practical

I felt like the Apple Smart Cover was a little flimsy and floppy. But it looks awesome on the iPad and fits perfectly.

The smart covers are just that, smart! I especially like how they fold in sections so you can create a nice stand for your mini as well. The smart covers just make sense!

Great color and great function! Would definitely buy one again! Love that it turns off the device when you close the cover and protects the screen from any mishaps.

This case is great! Nice feel to it and not bulky. The best thing about it is when you open the cover, it automatically wakes up the ipad for you. I love that.

This cover is so easy to use and it protects the glass perfectly. You don't need a screen protector with this cover. Versatile yet easy to remove or reattach.

This is a good product but it didn't fit my needs. I wanted a full protector for my iPad mini that covered the back and the screen. This cover has a magnetic strip that attaches itself to the iPad. If you pull hard enough, it will come off of the iPad so personally, I was afraid of dropping it. I wanted a case that fit snuggly into a case. The smart cover option is great as it saves battery for your iPad but I didn't really need it either since I manually click the 'screen off' button.

This keeps my son's iPad safe and it comes in good use when he plays games on his iPad for it can fold in different ways to be propped up for him.

If you're wondering why these are called Smart Covers, it's because of the magnetic properties they possess. They attach to the side of the iPad using hidden magnets that align the joint perfectly on the left-hand side, but won't work if you put them on the right-hand side. Magnets hidden in the right edge of the cover itself work as an on-off button. Open the cover, and the iPad is ON. Close the cover, and the iPad is OFF. Couldn't be easier.
