The agents who instslled the locks were knowledgeable, professional and friendly. They explained everything in detail and made sure the lock was working correctly before they left my home.

The technician took time to install this. Unfortunately once it was done this Yale lock firmware did not work. They had to de install the lock and put the old one back in. I had this same lock (but with optional key use) in my office in Rancho Mirage. It works great. But this time it totally flopped. I brought it back to the store and the store manager took it at the return desk. He was absolutely rude and did not care about it. It seems like BestBuy newer employees are just plain rude. If management is reading this, you should give them a lesson on how to be respectful to a customer. I notice this is behavior in most of their stores in recent years.

We got off to a rocky start due to a miscommunication but after we got over that hurdle, the tech was very knowledgeable. We both apologized when we realized what happened. I would have him back to my house. He was efficient.

My geek squad seem to know the serting well but he mentioned people having issues with it when it doesn’t open fully when we need to. He try to fix it again by coming back but the third time, we just pry it a little but with knife to open it.

The lock has not been installed by a Best Buy technician yet. The technician was a no-show, The technician still did not bother to keep the appointment even after being called by the company he works for and whom Best Buy contracted to install the lock. This left me sitting at home all day waiting—my time and my day wasted. Best Buy’s response to this was to reschedule me for a week later; no attempt to get someone out to do the already paid for installation immediately or at least the next day. So this customer is left waiting another week, clearing my calendar again to sit at home again waiting.

Geek Squad is the bomb when it comes to home service. I’ve had a few experiences with them and they have always been super professional, on time, and knowledgeable about what they were doing. Plus, their prices are unbeatable at Best Buy stores. If you need someone to help you set up or fix your electronics, then Geek Squad should be your go-to team.

i have been presently surprised with the quality of service and the communications with both the store, the Geek Squad and the telephone support. Noah was our tech and he installed and connected 2 Nest Thermostats, a keyless door lock and connected them to Alexa and phones. Noah communicated ahead of appointment, showed up on time, followed all COVID protocol and
was patient and thorough in explaining how to get us set up on phones and with Alexa. Highly recommend him.

Best Buy had to refer to third party company, because it is a security product. To set this up, I had to go to the store 4 times.
Finally, it was handled professionally.
I am 100% happy with quality of Geek Squad. The issue was with Best Buy procedures.

The August smart door lock from Best Buy is awesome! It is working perfectly in our home. The keypad is also slim. We can still use our old key as the deadbolt is not replaced and it is installed inside the door. I would highly recommend this smart door lock to anyone.

Tech arrived on time and spent double the expected time getting the install right. The latch didn’t align perfectly so he spent the extra time getting it to align and work.

He did a great job, but I am dropping my membership when it is due for renewal. You’re dropping the most important thing in having a geek squad membership ‘FREE INSTALLATION”. I can’t see it to be beneficial to pay that much money every year for so little services.
