The initial install occured on August 1. I filed my complaint on August 8 and was told I would have resolution in 5 days, but that has not occurred and now we are in October with no resolution. The damage occurred because the installer claimed he could not install the strike plate on the door frame, which I would later realize was a complete falsity. By doing this, he butchered the lock mechanism so that it would not close flushly with the door due to improperly installed screws, thus causing it to not close properly and scrape vigorously against the door frame. Then, a second installer had to come and had to yanked out the lock mechanisim and created all of the gaps around the hole. When we asked him to fix it, he took out some putty and put around the area, which we told him was totally inadequate as the lock mechanism and the door have now been compromised.
This is a brand new door (we just remodeled our home) and it and the door frame are destroyed because of this installation.

Lock was installed flawlessly by geek squad installation. Works like a dream. I usually would have to double check all doors for security reasons, now I just check the app and if the door is not closed and locked, the app allows me to lock door remotely.

Life is so much easier without keys.. the men installed my lock, set my iPhone , and fully explained the function of my lock. All while being pleasant and courteous.

The agents arrived and installed the two Nest locks and left before showing be how to set them up. In fact, they left without me even knowing they were leaving. After a couple of hours of trying it myself, I called my Best Buy representative to help me out. He said I had to contact the installers, but they left no information as to who they were or how to contact them. My representative said that they were third-party installers and he had no control over the people that "I" hired. I didn't hire these people, Best Buy did. This is the second time I've had to deal with these third-party installers. The first time, even talking with them on the phone and them saying they were on their way, never showed up. This was after waiting the 4 hour window period. Truly unacceptable. I'm extremely upset with this. What a waste of time and money.

The agent was able to connect my smart lock and connect my garage door opener to the MyQ APP. I had spent many unsuccessful hours attempting to connect these, without any success.

Geek squad agents Jesse and Scott did a great job with my installation. The lock part seems fairly straightforward to accomplish.. the programming of the unit took them longer than anticipated.. once it was done I was very pleased with the finish work...

The appointmet was scheduled for 11am-3pm. At 2:11pm a tech called stating he was running late and would be at my place at 3:30-3:45pm. I was ok at that point. At 3:55pm since no one showed up and no one called, i call the number the tech called me on only to get that he was not going to make it. Called best buy to find out what is going on and to get this issue rectified o ly to be hung up on. Called back again, after a lengthy back and forth and refusal to be transfered to a supervisor i was told that i will be receiving a call within 30 minutes to schedule a same day installation on my item. It has been over an hour since but no one called and no one came. I expect this service from a handyman founf on craigslist but i think they are more punctual and diligent then best buy installation team, this is just unacceptable and there is no excuses here. No one called back. No one made it the way it needs to be and no one offered anything to rectify the situation, this is just unacceptable to me. I expected more from best buy, especially for totaltech members that they advertise so much, that does not make a difference at all.

The geek squad member was polite, efficient and helpful. He was able to do the install in a few minutes. He called to verify the appointment and arrived a couple of minutes early.

Geek squad came out to install an August WiFi/BT smart lock for our front door, and numeric keypad. The techician did a great job and explained things to me every step of the way. It works like a charm!

I wanted to have a smart garage opener and purchased a MyQ to do so. The reason I did so is I knew the Geek Squad would install it and they did a great job with the installation and explaining how to use it. Very happy.
