It's a decent drone. Does what is expected of it. Does not hover in one spot well even inside my living room. It is super light and a little underpowered so it flies away with very light wind and can't push back against it. Wind speed today was 3 mph and full throttle into the wind to bring it back to me wasn't enough to get it to even stay in place. Wind still slowly took it away. Still decent beginner drone and I'm keeping it though.

Trust me, I do lots of research before every purchase, and this is the perfect item to buy to see if you’re really interested in learning how to use a drone. Don’t make the decision to buy the best one until you feel you have the energy and time to actually want to use one on a consistent basis. This is a solid product to test your interest with and not break the bank right now.

Pretty easy to use: The camera and phone options are great, and the quality is pretty decent for a drone!

Finally, an affordable drone that a 71-year-old who learned to write with a quill and ink can quickly put together and operate. I'm positive that those who enjoy many of the devices that have made our lives more exciting but are not complicated or prohibitively expensive have not kept up with the latest or even kept pace with all that is out there that serves a beautiful new avenue of experienced learning. I am active; in the past, I've often climbed trees or stood in precarious places, can get an entirely new perspective I can control. Knowing when the battery gets low, all I have to do is press a button. It returns "home" is far better than tramping through the woods to find this (or any other) item on the ground, in a tree, or smashed on a rocky outcrop has made my love of nature so much better I have to share this with everyone. If you enjoy a new perspective and, like me, have little expertise, the SP680 is perfect. I'm sending one to my son and grandson; they have grown up with the new technology, but I'm positive this will give them a wonderful and renewed sense of what we see and do without having to go through the grueling search for the "perfect spot," they chart it out before they head out. I genuinely love this gadget!

Works perfectly had a little trouble getting it started but once I got the hang of it it was easy breezy

I like the drone it’s super easy to fly and learn however I can’t get the camera to work. Not sure if it’s me or the drone. The instructions are not very helpful and

Excellent price. Good idea to include extra rotor blades (you are going to need them). Also it i cludes an extra battery. The camera looks a bit blurry, but it works...the app is a bit tricky but the manual helps a lot.

Very easy to learn how to use. Lots of batteries, with chargers that allow multiple charging's at once. Camera quality was fairly decent! 10/10 would recommended.

This is a great drone (for the cost). We live in a windy state and this drone does get carried very easily outside by any wind over 3-5 mph. The app is ok at best but we love the controls and the camera quality is excellent for the price.

For my first drone this thing i like to get my skills up i think is a bery good mechine to get ur level up only issue is the camara dnt move around othet then that is great when u catch it on a deal

Not bad for a beginner. But once it hit the ground it kinda drifts by itself after you get it back in the air.

I only wish I checked for gps before buying. First time out it got out of my control and I lost it in an apartment courtyard. Luckily a neighbor found it and returned it after finding one of my 'lost drone" posters. Thank God for good neighbors.

This drone is completely amazing despite I had some initial disappointments. I've got so much to share about my experience, but will keep this review on my initial impressions & run-ins, so hope to separate for later a follow-up review w/much more. I'm new to drone flying & actually came from a previous bad experience w/another, I'll just say "4k drone scam", because it was exactly that. NOT this one! Well, this one is a "2k", & as a video pro, I'd say this one is awesome the more time you spend w/it, & that's where I come in! Important pointers (my ultimate remedies): Android phones (my exp.) Ensure your phone is type that handles WiFi 4 on up w/a 5Ghz (for app use via WiFi; don't confuse that w/"5G" cell svc./signal ). | microSD (onboard drone rec.) needs to be FAT32 formatted (I had to later fetch-purchase a 32GB microSD). | Despite manufacturer's manual states the drone is not intended for pro video areal videography, I am still very impressed overall, Fast-F from assembly, my phone would just beyond not connect to the drone even following app install too, as the WiFi drone signal was not found in numerous attempts. I had a clue that my phone wouldn't work, but was uncertain of this model (another similar Vantop Snaptain mentioned a better stable signal via "5Ghz", so I also assumed "backwards compatibility"). It got worse when I couldn't get anything in recorded video result via my newly purchased 64GB microSD cards despite I had just read a Best Buy customer review which stated that's the maximum microSD storage size you'd need. Frustrated (more since my "4k drone scam" exp.), I came very close to returning the drone to Best Buy as a defective item (would've been my 1st), but I simultaneously pursued manufacturer support/customer service via E-Mail which came to rescue. My 2-part/2-Q. didn't get a perfect reply, however the microSD part was A. w/very prompt response providing steps for remedy. "Format the SD w/FAT32, also try another brand". I was attempting w/a PNY 64GB. In short, Windows 7 & 10 wouldn't let me re-format the microSD from exFAT to FAT32, so I started remembering but "Googled" to confirm, FAT32 is limited to a 32GB size drive/partition! Ugh hugh! I set out for & later purchased a PNY - 32GB microSDHC UHS-I Memory Card w/guess who. Eager to get rolling, I swapped from my phone a SanDisk - Extreme PLUS 32GB microSDHC UHS-I Memory Card which now works just fine! (The one that didn't work was PNY 64GB yet I don't think it was brand issue, rather in concl. larger than 32GB &/or mostly exFAT issue.) Once determined to give a lower overall rating in aim for my reviewing this item & experience, what compelled me the other way still & intensely I must say, was being amazed by the video Q. & how I had more smooth/stable flights overall compared to my 1st drone experience, that "4k drone scam" which BTW folded up for packing/travel, (not the other Vantop model either). According to the box of this Snaptain SP680, manufacturer is in China. I'm impressed of the manual's English portion. In comparison, I concluded my other "4k drone scam" was apparently "Made in China" + had poor even confusing English version-portions. Not this Snaptain. Remote - Video Recording - FPV: Insert somewhere throughout all this I did test/use the drone's remote. Very responsive I found, + will allow enabling of recording via onboard microSD if you're not using the phone app.! As another customer mentioned in review, you do get a slight "fish-eye" type of wide-angle lens from the cam., showing on both rec. methods, but works well I figure for "bird's-eye views. Video result remains a proper 16x9 wide screen to me (unlike my other "4k drone scam" exp. which had an improper "stretch" & distorted the image). I found even the WiFi rec. via phone app will simultaneously rec. via the onboard microSD! That later fixes the date/time stamp problem (being stuck on one older date) another customer review mentioned of videos rec. onto microSD card. (Pretty much similar result of one consumer type Sony HD camcorder w/dual record, where you automatically get a lower-HD version for sharing, etc., without waiting for later conversions via computer.) You see! More time you spend w/it, the more amazing it gets! Phone app rec. via WiFi gives 1280x720 def., while as described, you get 2976x1680 via onboard microSD rec. I figure that's the def. for the FPV feed via WiFi, confirming Best Buy's spec. listing of "HD Streaming - NO" (apparantly just not Full HD via FPV & rec. via WiFi, but still looks great to me. There are some flaws/issues I discovered through extensive video tests, which I hope to cover in another part review, along w/more of my "2-cents" RE other customers complaints in their reviews, i.e. getting blown in the wind, (but what do expect from a 1 pound drone airborne). Still an amazing drone to me. I was eager & still am for the GPS model similar to this one, however opted now due hard-to find 3 batteries incl. at the price too w/this model. I figured the marketing end of that GPS aspect, but for my later review perhaps. (To be clear, this SP680 does not have GPS. I won't rate it on Range yet as I need to fly it more outdoors so perhaps in my next review part as well.)

The plastic rims didn't assemble easily and caused the rotors to hit them every few seconds. While it had some decent features for the price, it didn't hold up against any wind. Great battery life and ok camera for the price though!

Pro: Fun for beginners . Camera is okay ,better than other cheap drons . Con: too light it gets drag by a very small amout of wind .
