First of all I do not play online but play the campaign part of this game. With that being said I will continue with my review of Sniper Elite 4. Hope it helps you to enjoy this game as I do!
Now I am older than most. I am in my 60's so I do not have the quick hand eye coordination that the young have. There for I like the sniper games. For me I always play the new games on the easiest settings for the first time then move up to the normal setting. If I get really good I then move up one more level! For the most part I play at normal.
I am sure that the young can play this game at higher levels! That is what is nice about these games, you can play at a level that works for you!
Now for an old guys view of this game. I do not think anyone younger than the (M ) rating should play. The kill graphics are strong for younger eyes. My opinion of course for Moms and Dads.
If you have an idea of how real snipers do their work you should know that for the most part they work in pairs now days. This game is set during world war 2 and back then the snipers worked by themselves most of the time. Anyway that is what I understand from history! The other point to understand about sniping back then and today. Snipers where and are now one of the most hated warriors of the opposed side! That applies to this very day by both side in the conflict!
Anyway play it fast if you are real good but do not be surprised if you do not make it all that far without dying. Now you already know that I am not the fastest player and when I play to fast I die so much faster. I believe it is best to play as if it was you being a real sniper and take your time and plan your every move. Then when that is done you need to not get inpatient. You need to take your shot when the time is right! The computer does not always make that easy. I believe it has the right time to take the shot but it cycles bad times to take the shot just to make you think it will never be right but if you stay patient that time does come. Then for me I get inpatient and then you have to know how the game works. The reason is that you have been discovered and you will be marked or I should say your position is marked. When you understand that you can move a small distance to another cover and that will work to your advantage if the number of enemies sent after you is not too high because you can cut them down because they think that you are where the marking is. They are kind of stupid that way. One other thing is that you should know that if you shoot more than ones in the same location because you miss with the first shoot it is just like in real life it is easier to locate where you are. Depending at what level you are playing this happens faster per number of shots you can take in that location. Now like I said I play at a level that they are kind of dumb but for me it is on the hard side. For someone else you may want to play at a higher level! Oh, one other thing to remember is that at the easiest level sighting the rifle is simple just put the crosshairs on the target and shoot. As the levels of difficulty go up sighting in the rifle gets harder! In the next level up you have to adjust your aim for distance and windage. Now they give you a crutch which is a red marker to show where the round should hit. Which means you need to move that red marker to where you want the round to hit! Now as you move up the difficulty level this gets harder and harder! When at the highest level there is no help at all and you have to make all of the guesses by using the crosshairs only! I never and probably never will play at that level. Just to hard.
Now, with those tips play the game and hope you find it fun as I have. Just remember this game is made to play at a slower speed more like real life of a sniper and still have all the excitement that these games on computers, Xbox 1 consoles,or the PlayStation should have. Anyway that is my opinion. I play on the Xbox 1! Have fun. I believe you will if you play this game.

This game is very good so far. I have only done the multiplayer and on the authentic difficulty and it is surprisingly difficult to get your shots. Granted you can adjust your distance but I haven't seen a way to adjust the windage so I've had to Kentucky Windage the objective and that in the game can prove to be difficult lol. Nonetheless, It is still delivering to be a entertaining and fun game to me. If you have enjoyed the other titles go ahead and pick this one up as well!

Great addition to the Sniper Elite series. I thought the 3rd one was the best one. This one now has bigger, more dense maps with so many hidden collectibles to find and so many enemies to take down. Best addition to this game is the mobility. In SE3, when you were seen by the enemy or your location was compromised you had to run for the hills because the controls when you weren't sniping weren't that good. That's fixed in this game and now you have a fighting chance if you're ever seen. Fun game overall but most rewarding when you try and stay hidden. Don't run and gun.

I wanted a game I could play solo. I enjoyed Sniper2, from the 360 days, and decided to get this game so I could destroy the bad dudes in various ways. Very fun, good stress reliever, but I wouldn't play it in front of small children or adults who cannot handle graphic displays of violence. Because trust me you will be dealing out some gruesome kills in this game. The graphics and mechanics have greatly improved compared to Sniper 3. Get it!

I played this campaign through and i want more. It took me about 10-12 hours to complete the main missions and some side missions with a buddy in coop campaign play. It was a decent story, but where this game shines is in the game play. It feels very solid and hardly clunky like a lot of first person shooters out there. I have not tried the multiplayer yet, but if you are looking for a medium length game that is a fun and solid shooter with a really cool xray kill cam, this is your game for sure. Lots of fun.

I bought this game to play with some friends and am thoroughly enjoying it. Its a solid sniper game that is fun to play with friends and brings a level of stealthiness that draws you into the gameplay. The only issue I have is that it would be much better if they incorporated a party system where you can group up with friends and don't run the risk of one person getting moved to the other team if one side needs balancing.

The Sniper Elite series is so underrated. It doesn't get the love of the Rainbow Six, Battlefield, Ghost Recon or Call of Duty series, but it's such a good franchise. The latest installment is the best. Far more open world. Great campaign and multiplayer, including co-op! Nice graphics, excellent story, taut gameplay. LOVE IT!

The whole game was very fun, challenging and exciting. The only issue I had was in the mechanics of how your character moves over walls and such. Not a major issue with me though. Nothing that really bothered me too much. Other then that small detail, I really liked the game a lot!

Pretty good Sniper Elite. Definitely as good as V2 and maybe better. Liked the varied landscape and the ability to sneak around. Difficulty can be ramped up according to skill level. Easy being you can run and gun through to the hardest setting basically requiring full stealth all the time.

I've been waiting for this game for months, and I'm so excited it's finally out. Great graphics and gameplay. The maps seem to be much larger than on sniper elite 3, which makes for even longer play time. Love it!

Think Sniper Elite 3 but with everything upgraded, i.e. Graphics, level design, weapons and stronger AI enimies a true challenge. This is an enjoyable game and it's not necessary to have played the previous title in franchise but it helps, this is a must buy!!!

You love the Sniping aspect of games, then this series is for you and this game offers more than any other in its series. Aside from some laughable plot lines, you'll have a lot of fun sneaking around looking for that perfect shot.

Is it possible to get tired of killing German National Socialists (GNS from here on out since the review system won't let me use their normal name)? I think this 4th go for the Super Elite series proves that it never gets old killing GNS in new and creative ways! On top of that, you get the beautiful setting of Italy in this one which is far nicer than the North Africa of #3. You might also think that the bullet slo-mo with x-ray vision would get old but it really doesn't. A blast to play. Got a solid 30 hours out of this game with all the fun of replaying to find additional ways to crush the GNS!
