I'm not typically a fan of Joseph Gordon-Levitt, I find him somewhat wooden as an actor. The movie is compelling though, in typical Oliver Stone fashion. I found the street movie bonus material much more enlightening, the interview with the actual Snowden is really interesting.

Everyone should watch this film. Oliver Stone tones back his exaggerative dramatic flair to tell a true story of how Edward Snowden reveals to the world the illegal actions of the NSA violating fourth amendment rights. Accompanying Q & A session with Stone and Snowden is also a must.

A must see film for every American. Understanding what prompted this individual to act as he did does not necessarily excuse his behavior - he violated his oath, broke the law and placed America (and all of its citizens) at great risk. Anyone else who has been entrusted to guard the secrets of the United States would be sitting in prison. That's where he belongs. A most interesting film and one everyone should see.

I enjoy "based of true stories" the most! This is a very interesting movie but very aggrevating to know how crooked many leaders in our country have been and still are at every level. They can't comprehend that they will only get away with it until their judgment day!

I really enjoyed this movie! To me they did a great job describing the events that happened in a cinematic way. It was interesting to watch and see all that the NSA was doing and how they didn't care about the privacy of the people. I thought it was also cool seeing the life of Edward Snowden and how he took action that needed to be taken even thought he could lose everything he cared about in life.

Interesting movie and history will clarify whether he was a traitor, hero or a little of both. Because facts are soo hard to find nowadays, this movie shows one perspective that is different from other print perspectives. I liked the idea that we are living in a time that will be written about in decades to come and here is a movie to represent one side.

This movie is really thought provoking and makes one think about the reality of cyberspace, hacking into ones privacy and life. This movie also depicts to what extent our government is involved and how it impacts individual liberties. It was filmed well with excellent acting and portrayal of current issues. Great addition to my library. Enjoy!

Great movie to film or make a movie based off the footsteps of Snowden was crazy good plus scary for all the info that this movie shows it makes you really wonder about our government and to be honest I support Snowden and think of him as a hero and by far from being considered a traitor to our great country....I loved this movie...

I'm not big into politics, so I went into kind of fresh, and not knowing much. Now some people say this is one sided but Stone does throw some things out there so you can decide whether or not he did the right thing. I found this movie to be very entertaining. Which is shocking because I'm not big on Oliver Stone.

I enjoyed this movie very much. It's always exciting to get a movie that concerns things that are really going on in this world. To some, Eric Snowden is a traitor, but to others, he's a hero. He exposed how our government was and is spying on the people. It makes you more aware of just how corrupt governments can be.

My wife wanted to see this movie when it came out, but do to hectic schedules we didn't make it. So we purchased it from Best Buy for a date night. Loved it, very entertaining, with lots of action. The story of Snowden is fascinating, the things the government will do keep secrets. I recommend this any suspense fan.

Reviews the actions of Edward Snowden who worked for the CIA and the NSA in various capacities and disclosed to the public the interception of communications without a warrant among innocent citizens. BIG GOV is watching over the shoulder of everyone under the guise of national security protection

Though it's not Stone's best work the subject matter was handled in his usually perfect manner. Good acting. Though the movie seems to be Pro-Snowden as if what he did was patriotic - IT WAS NOT. He escaped US with material that di not belong to him and gave away our position in the internet spy game.

SNOWDEN is the true account of a man that saw something wrong with the government and decided to take action against it. Right or wrong, he has been targeted for treason by the government for giving out classified information . MUST SEE!

Film slow moving, but does pick up at the end. It shines a personal spotlight on the controversial figure Snowden and reveals a lot of unknowns about his private life including romantic and inner struggles as he deals in the world of secrets and discovers wrongdoing by a country he deeply loves.

Here recently I have found out about how much our government has really been spying and listening to us without us knowing and it kinda makes me feel uneasy and this movie I think is a great way to show what should be shown to everyone so they know what their government is listening and watching.

This is Oliver Stone's take on Edward Snowden who leaked leaked classified information from the NSA. He has been on the run and living i Russia ever since. Funny to see how lines are divided on how he is viewed, even though Stone portrays him more of a hero. Interesting watch.

This film gives the viewer an inside look at the life of Edward Snowden. Although most people would call him a traitor, it is an interesting look at how corrupt the government is, and the secrets they try to hide from the American people they are supposed to be protecting.

Snowden wasn't being subversive. He just wanted Americans to know what was going on, so they would be able to choose how they were being spied upon and governed. Required watching for anyone interested in our First Amendment ... and for my class in American Government at UB.
