This originated as a French graphic novel in the early ’80s, which was pirated in Korea about 2004, seen by a Korean director who loved it, and away we go (he bought the rights). All that’s left of mankind is on a train of about 100 cars that makes a circuit annually around most of Asia. Earth is frozen; all that is left alive is on the train. The bigwigs have the front, the center is devoted to creating food and water (and keeping prisoners), and the back is filled with low-lifes who want to be up front. All are just finishing their 18th year of this trip. The revolt in the back is the story.

This is a Sci-Fi movie directed by a Korean director based on a French Visual novel. In order to enjoy this movie, some plot holes must be ignored. This is enjoyable movie, but do not watch expecting something. Also, the movie features a protein jelly that looks like red bean jellies that are sold in most Asian super markets.

Anything with Tilda Swinton, John Hurt, Kang-ho Song, AND Ed Harris as part of the cast is worth watching. It doesn't get by on just them, though. There's a fantastic story told and a great amount of special features, too. Could've done without the critic commentary, thought.

A failed global-warming experiment kills off most life on the planet. The final survivors board the Snowpiercer, a train that travels around the globe via a perpetual-motion engine. When cryptic messages incite the passengers to revolt, the train thrusts full-throttle towards disaster.

Snowpiercer is a great sci-fi film adapted from a wonderful graphic novel. Had a hard time finding the blu ray but got a great deal on the 2 disc dvd!

Snowpiercer was a movie that I had been waiting to get my hands on for a while. I was not disappointed. It was thrilling at just the right moments.

I watched this movie twice in the theater and that wasn't enough for me. It is a jarring, but smart film. Every single actor was great in their roles, and here we get to see some really spectacular acting from Chris Evans.

This is a fantastic movie! Saw it when it was in theatres this past summer. Great story! Great acting! Even though it says sci-fi movie on the cover, don't let that deter you if you aren't a sci-fi fan. See it!

highly entertaining movie with some unexpected twists. very good special effects. the ending was a little flat.

A world wide cast. Brilliantly photographed. The making of the film was interesting but the commentary by movie critics who phoned in for the discussion was not very good and the audio was bad.

Snowpiercer is a post apocalyptic dystopian action movie based on a series of graphic novels. Excellent acting all around and a well paced plot that keeps you hooked right until the end..

A great movie, great scenery and visuals. The story is original, different, deep and enjoyable. I'll watch this again without hesitation.

Left a lot of open ends but it had a great premise. Ending was strange
