Way better than the DC movie universe. The intro if Damian was cool but not feeling the voice of Batman

Son of Batman is another fantastic addition to the DC Animated Universe! With characters both familiar and new, this film provides an exciting and action-packed 74 minutes. Kevin Conroy doesn't provide the voice of Batman that so many of us are familiar with this time around, but Jason O'Mara does a great job.
There is a good amount of cartoon blood/violence, so even though it is an animated film, be mindful that it may not be appropriate for all children.

This is an excellent addition to the collection of all Batman enthusiasts. Whether you like the regular movies, animated series or the comics this will satisfy all fans. There is enough edge that it won't feel like a kids cartoon, and if you like the comics this will feel like a graphic novel come to life. It won't wow you with cinematography but it's done well enough that even people who expect crazy good graphics will sleep well at night (lol).

Another Great Animated Film From DC

This is DC's animated adaptation/reinvention of the Batman and Son storyline that was authored by Grant Morrison. That story was one of my favorite Batman tales of the past decade, and while they job of transferring it to animation was done admirably, it didn't quite capture the fun and emotion of the comic. Taken just as a animated movie though, the film is great, with some great action sequences and even better voice acting.

This another excellent entry for the DC animated films like the others its based on a story already told in a popular comic but slightly changed to still give fans in the know something fun to watch. Plus it gives batman fans who don't read all the comics an introduction to a great character for the Batman verse. The action is fun and voice acting is well done. Could have spent a little more time developing the relationship with Bruce and Damian though.

This is an awesome DC animated film. I wouldn't recommend it for young children, maybe 12 and up. The action, voice acting and cinematography are superb! 90 minutes of great action! The only thing I didn't care for was the deviation from the original comic story line...Deathstroke was never in Batman and Son. I suppose they had to have that twist to make it more "Hollywood Friendly." DC continues to amaze...pick this one up!

So if you like the other DC world comic movies ,this to me is a no brainer to add to a collection or start one.

An excellent animated version if a great graphic novel. The DC Direct videos are a must for any comic book fan. They are far superior to any of the live action movies that DC does. Superior plots, full of action, faithful to the source material. The extras on the bluray are always a great added value because of the documentaries on characters or the original graphic novels, as well as bonus episodes of previous Warner Brothers DC cartoons.

A Great Twist In Batman Lore

I don't want to give to much away but if you have seen the preview you know Batman has a son that is a Robin like spitfire. The few twist and turns make this one of the better Warner Brothers animated features. The only down side is the limited animation that these direct to videos have. I know they are on the limited budget and its enough to tell the story but I wish they could bump it up a notch but still check it out its a lot of fun.

While DC theatrical films are hit or miss (mostly miss) their animated films are where their true strengths lie. Able to adapt stories directly from the pages of the comics themselves, I have yet to be disappointed in an animated feature. This is another great Batman adaptation, and is a fun watch. My only issue is that DC needs to try to branch out and try using some other characters once in a while.

I think DC is doing a great job putting these movies together to showcase another side of the DC world. These movies are interesting, well acted, and well made. This story of the son Bruce Wayne never knew he had is a little esoteric for my tastes and I found myself a little bored at times. However, the sheer skill on display here was worth the purchase and my 4-star review.

Adapted from the comics this is a good quick way to catch up on Damien Wayne and his introduction as Bruce Wayne's son.
Deathstroke also has a nice new twist in here that I wasn't aware of and enjoyed.
As I said above DC has gone the toon route to tell some stellar stories and I almost find myself as a comic book fan eagerly waiting for each new DC offering.

If you've been keeping up with the comics then you know how cool the Court of Owls is. Well, maybe cool isn't the proper term for it. This video doesn't exactly do the Court its full justice but it does a pretty good job within the confines of the film. I especially like the whole bad kid robin thing. The movie is left wide open for a part three to this series. Bring it on!

Overall, a great take on the Batman and Son storyline from the comics. Even if you didn't read the comic, the movie explains enough for beginners. Long time comic fans will enjoy it as well. Lots of action. Ignoring the absurd idea a 10 year could fight off adults, it's a good choice.

DC Comics latest Batman animated movie in the NEW 52 Universe. Batman meets the son he never knew he had. Damian was trained by the League of Shadows and now Batman has to teach his son to use his skills for good.
I love collecting the Best Buy exclusive versions of the DC Comics animated movies because they come with a miniature figure of one of the DC Comics characters.

I had heard about Damian Wayne for sometime. I was curious to see The Batman put his own son in harms way and a son that had been trained by one of his greatest enemies. The story felt too rushed and was in need a deeper longer telling than this treatment provided. I would have liked to have more insight to the Batman's feelings and more asides with Alfred about the boy.

If you love batman, and who doesn't, you're going to love this. Add Damien into the mix and now it's twice as much fun to watch. Any hardcore batman fan must own this. This isn't really made for kids though, as there is gore and a few choice words throughout, but nothing your kids haven't probably seen much worse of on television or in video games.

Warner Bros./DC has put out another great animated movie. Son of Batman completely captured the characters and personalities, especially of Damian. He's a bratty little jerk but you can't help but cheer him on by the end of the film. And the bonus figure gets added to my collection of previous DC animated films (Superman and Catwoman). Very pleased with this purchase.

Batman discovers to his surprise that he has a son he never knew of. And this kid is as fierce and skilled in combat as he is! Killer Croc's appearance was cool. The story was interesting given the fact that Talia Al Ghul has bern raising his son with batman in the league of shadows compound, teaching him to be an efficient and ruthless warrior.

The 2nd DCAU set in the New 52 (see Justice League the Flashpoint Paradox & War), this is a retelling of the Grant Morrisson/Andy Kubert tale "Batman & Son" which introduced Batman's son (w/ Talia Al Ghul) Damian Wayne. As with most adaptations, it's not 100% of the source material but a good little film & a must own for any DC/Batman fan.
