OUTSTANDING MOVIE!!!! Enjoyed the movie so much, have to watch it again.

I bought this movie because of a video I watched on Youtube which touch me very deeply. After some research, I found out this is the movie where it came from. I immediately bought the movie and sit down with the family to watch it. It's a very well told biblical story and my family thoroughly enjoy it. It begin with John narrating the story and tell the story of Jesus. A must watch for everyone. Hope you all enjoy it as much as we did. God bless you all!

I make this very clear - not to take away one scene of Mel Gibson's "The Passion" which in my perspective set into motion the modern day answers of what, when, where, who and why of the Creators Son, Jesus Christ "The Son of God". Since "The Passion", I grew to know more about the answers of Jesus Christ yet questioning the answer to nature. I my world "The Passion" showed witness to beyond belief pain to forgive all past, present and future sin. The History Channels "The Son of God " accomplished the same yet for the viewing audience of this film, delivered the same message in the "History Channel" method less the almost unbearable visual as of "The Passion". www.essaysonorder.com

Great movie, not crazy about the actor chosen for Jesus. Didn't seem believable, but the rest of the story & actors makes it a good movie. Definitely not one of my favorite Christ depicted movies, but still decent. Most will enjoy it & be glad they watched it at least once. Idk if I'd recommend over other Christ movies. Not the best, not the worst. Just average.

This is a good movie overall. It stays true to the main facts, but it does deviate from the Biblical text in some areas. Many of them are minor and do not do violence to the truth, but some are more serious. One of those is the story of Lazarus. The movie changes it in too many ways. It has Jesus entering the tomb and speaking softly to Lazarus, while, in the Biblical text, Jesus stayed outside the tomb and called Lazarus in a loud voice. This is important because it allowed witnesses to see the miraculous nature of the resurrection. Overall, it is more accurate than not, and it has several other good points. The photography is excellent, with many truly beautiful scenes. The depiction of the passion of the Christ is accurate without being gory. Seeing it, one can almost feel His agony in this movie. Overall recommended. If you're familiar with the gospels, you'll notice the deviations from their narrative. As I said, most of them are minor, and thry keep the story moving, but some are serious enough to allow me to give it only 3 stars.

When I first heard about the movie SON OF GOD, I didn't think it was a good idea. SON OF GOD is a movie that mostly contains re-edited scenes about Jesus from the 2013 miniseries THE BIBLE. There are some additional scenes in the movie, but the majority of it already appeared on television. I understand wanted to reach as large an audience as possible about the gospels (good news) of Jesus, but personally, it reeked a little too much like a money grab to me to simply re-edit television footage and add a few deleted scenes to make a movie that would be released in cinemas. However, I was willing to give the movie a chance and ended up seeing it in theatres twice.

Good price for this dvd. Came in a safe package too.

I loved Diogos' portrayal of Christ, as a very benevolent being, loving of all God's children but also human and humble. I appreciated that in an interview he claimed to be glad that he smiled many times, to some critics chagrin. It's true it was a difficult time period to navigate thru. So, no, I agree most people did not smile much I would gather. Therefore, seeming as though ...this man has a secret. Just like that which a knowing child's wink, Christ's smile would seem to do the same. It also has a super supporting cast. Also I appreciated that the screenplay showed us that even Jesus felt fear, and was ashamed to be frightful. And the forgiveness shown on those who had no thought of mercy, never mind care for killing an innocent. :) Art_ Peace and blessings

I had been waiting for a long time for this movie to come out on DVD and as I watched it, I must say that I was impressed moment by moment of how they portrayed Jesus!!!! Despite all of the nay sayers, I was able to visualize the stories that i have read in the Bible about Jesus' wondrous works. I must admit that I will watch this movie over and over again as this was the BEST MOVIE YET - and without all of the gruesomeness they portrayed in Passion of the Christ!!!!!!

After the last few JESUS movies I wasn't sure about going to this one, but im SO glad I did! This has a fine cast and its well done! I just adored the actor portraying JESUS! He did a fine job! This movie is just about 15 seconds short of being JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR! I thought that at any minute they would all break out in song! And I would have been ok with that too! I really do take great joy in this movie! I even gave it away as mothers day gifts!

I have to admit, though I have seen this particular DVD elsewhere so am familiar with it, I purchased it at the time I got my first LED TV and BluRay player and had a DVD in mind I wanted to get but for the life of me could not remember the name. Thus, I got this one instead. Then later at home, before it was unwrapped, I remembered I wanted Passion of the Christ, called Best Buy,and they said they did have it. So I ended up exchanging this one, which was still in the wrapper, for Passion. But I would still recommend this as I recall it was excellent. Both of the movies were on sale, so the prices on both were great also, and the exchange was easy.

Love the movie. Very glad I bought it. The Lord Jesus went through so much for everyone. The movie brought out a lot, but I’m sure He went through more pain for us all. Best Buy delivered it fast. Hope more people buy it. You will be happy you did.

This is really the best Jesus movie I have ever seen. Jesus' personality is so endearing. I originally saw it during Lent and would highly recommend it to people to make it a tradition of watching it at least once a year during that time. I could not wait for it to come out on DVD. I am so glad it did and the price was very reasonable.

This is account of the savior, Jesus Christ, from child to his resurrection. I liked this movie as it got the best of his ministry as well as his atoning for our sins by dieing on the cross. It's uplifting to see his resurrection on the third day as prophesied by the prophets in the bible.

If you want your faith strengthened, renewed or need to become acquainted with The Lord - this movie does it by staying true to the word and bringing Jesus into your home. Well acted, well directed and well shot - this movie will entertain, inform and make you desire to learn more about God

This was an interesting film, but does anyone alive today really know about the life of Jesus Christ?? It was an interesting perspective, but since no one today was alive back then, you have to keep an open mind. The biblical times were not recorded very well, at least I don't know of anyone who has seen, or read any of the original writings.

An excellent portrayal of the Christ being sent by God to pay the price for man's sinfulness, to bridge the gulf between wayward mankind and a Holy God. Would recommend highly to see the film!!

The story was amazing. Authentically related to the bible. The sequence of the story made sense. The actors were truly dedicated in their presentations. The director also did a marvelous job.

This is a good production about Jesus. It does not attempt to follow the Bible word for word, and takes takes a few dramatic changes to the way some scenes are described in the Bible, but stays true to the general thrust of the Bible. I liked it.

the movie was touching it did not follow the Bible completely but it gave a good oversight of the Bible. My wife never cries during during movies was crying throughout. I highly recommend this movie specially anybody curious about their religion.
