anyone knows this story so why not mix it up a bit? add in a little spice to make it somewhat entertaining? nope. let's do the exact same thing we've been doing ever since a story from the bible has been adapted to a movie: make the movie exactly how it appears in the bible without any noticeable changes to the story or any added elements so we can get all the money we can from the christian movie-going audience who want to see the same story they've been reading for years or else they'll send death threats to any studio that makes a movie that tries to be in any way different.
