When are his album was released I was incredibly skeptical and assumed that U2 was washed up after No Line On The Horizon, boy was I wrong. Songs of innocence is perhaps U2s strongest album since 1991's achtung baby. Yes it is that good. The music and the lyrics sound truly inspired and there really isn't a really weak track on the album. I would definitely urge any U2 fan to pick up the deluxe edition since you get additional tracks as well as acoustic versions of the many awesome songs on the album. Ignore the negative I've publicity due to the iTunes release because you are robbing yourself of one of 2014's best albums.

U2 is back again with an excellent album. The song "Every Breaking Wave" is another U2 classic. It sounds even better as part of the Acoustic Sessions on the second CD of this Deluxe Edition (which I highly recommend every U2 fan old and new check out, regardless if you downloaded the album for free when U2 first released the album online). The very end of the Deluxe Edition CD2 also contains an unlisted song released earlier in the year. The song "Invisible" is an excellent bonus track on this Deluxe Edition.

I bought this CD because I buy everything U@ has ever released from their very first album. I really wasn't expecting much this time around as the five previous albums were all very mediocre. I was very happily surprised with "Songs Of Innocense." This album brings them squarely back to their best days of the 80's. every song on this set is a winner. This is a must buy for any fan of U2 or of good music.

U2 has struck gold again as there newest album goes back to their roots and created a great album of songs that surely makes this work of art their most personal album of their rich catalog! Cant wait for U2 to hit the road and play the new songs in front of arenas across the country!

I think this album is great. Even though most of the tracks were given away by iTunes for free, the acoustic set (especially Every Breaking Wave) is fantastic. It is definitely worth getting. The only problem is that the entire acoustic set is all one track. This makes no sense and it's annoying. It's like having a cassette tape and you have to fast forward if you want to skip a song.

U2 should stop trying to sound retro/new. What else can one expect of a producer called "Danger Mouse"?

This package contained a second CD with acoustic versions of 6 of the songs from the first CD, alternate versions of 2 of the songs from the first CD, and 3 new songs (one of the songs is hidden at the end after a minute of silence). If you like U2, you will not be disappointed by the album.

I've been a U2 fan my whole life, but didn't really get into the last few albums they released. After listening to this album, I have re-fallen in love with U2. I played this album from start to finish without skipping one song and found myself enjoying it immensely. Highly recommended, cannot stop listening to it!
