Although this album got a lot of hate, i think it's one of their beat works in years! Give it a chance and listen!

So great to hear some new U2 songs and there are a couple of really great ones on this CD. After all these years, U2 still has it!!

I'll admit that I'm a very biased U2 fan. This is a great album! Can't wait for a tour when Bono is healed from his accident.

After a long absence U2 return. And a rather forgettable return for me. Having been a fan since the early days I have found each of the last 4 albums to be mostly bland and boring. But at least I could find a couple of tracks on each that would instantly stand out. I even quite liked Pop, which a lot of fans still hate. I think that was the last time U2 made a really fresh album. Everything since has sounded like a series of bland B-sides that are carefully designed to sound like they are supposed to. As is the case with this new album "Songs of Innocence". Where the previous album "Horizon" was dreadfully boring, at least it had Magnificent and maybe one other track to recommend it. "Songs" is entirely background music at best. It is by all accounts a very intimate and personal album, not meant to be anthemic, and that's fine. But it is also plodding. If the tunes don't stand out I won't be induced to reading the lyrics anyway. I will say "Songs" is very well produced and engineered, although Bono's delivery is only competent. It is at least better than the dismal "Horizon" as a whole. I actually would prefer to be wrong, and to have this one grow on me. There is some potential. But after 3 listens I still can't recall a single tune and don't feel any desire to try again for a while.

Bono uses visual language and ambient sound to inspire and stimulate your senses; Edge is captivating and resourceful.

I had high expectations for this one, after 5 years of waiting since 2009's 'No Line on the Horizon'. This record, the product of years of jamming with different producers sort of failed to live up to those expectations, yet has still grabbed me in its own way and demanded time in my CD player. Listen to it a few times to get the full range, but I'd say this one's sound spans elements of the band's sound back to their early 80's beginnings.

Been a U2 fan for awhile, so I'm biased. Anyways, there isn't any stand out songs, but there's a lot really catchy songs. It's a good listen.

Unfortuatly with all the bad press from the itunes botchery, it is a good cd!!! No epic songs but a great listening cd from front to back!!!

This is the album that many many people got free on iTunes but the second disc is really good and totally worth it.

This new U2 offering has a few good rockers, but is more on the lighter, introspective side. Still a quality CD to add to your collection.

Great cd and the bonus material is awesome...some of those songs should have been part of the original cd itself, but still it's good.

One of the bands best albums ever, not a bad song on the play list!!!

This album was a different style that I have seen from U2; however, Songs of Innocence does not disappoint. Nice CD.

U2 has done it again with this new cd that lifts your spirits and makes you wanna take flight.

Needed this album to complete my collection. I got the album free from I-tunes, but I wanted the bonus features.

Anytime Best Buy has a new release cd the prices are the best. Big fan of U2 and Bob Seger
