Okay, I have always been a fan of the Sonic games, and didn't even know my five year old son knew what it was, but he loves this game and never asks for help. It keeps him occupied so it's great in my book.

My 10-year-old daughter and I were checking out the games at Best Buy, and she really latched onto this one. I did a quick check and the reviews looked good overall, so I thought it was a fair purchase for the price. Turns out, this was a good investment. She plays it over and over again, with "unlocks" for doing well in a variety of race types. The graphics are good and the gameplay is simple for anyone to learn quickly, but still fun. I've played it myself, and it's quickly become one of my favorite Wii games in our collection. Definitely worth checking out.

I haven't tried the main sonic game but I play the multiplayer games with my 5yr old son and they are very entertaining and you can change the difficulty which is great.

Sonic is one of my favorite game series. This game is challenging, but not so bad you cannot figure it out. Great for the whole family.
