Very affordable, got this for my 9 yr old. He loves it.

Got this game for nephew as a Christmas gift. He loves playing and it has a real old school feel to the game. The game is definitely aimed at a younger audience which was perfect for his age level.

Dosen't really tell you that sonic turns into a wearwolf like thing called a wearhog during nighttime sceens. Kinda scared my daughter she has played all the old sega games with me and this one I liked but bothered her.

I recently picked up the Xbox 360 version of this game, after not having played it since the Playstation 3 version years back. If anyone's wondering, the game seems to play about the same on either console (be aware that the Wii and Playstation 2 versions aren't as expansive). The Sonic series has seen some rough patches in recent years, but Sonic Unleashed was the point where things started looking up again. 2D-style segments in many levels bring back the feeling of the classic Genesis titles, and Sonic has never controlled better in 3D. The "daytime stages" are the highlight of this game, and showcase everything we love about the blue blur. On the other side of the coin are the nighttime-based stages, where Sonic becomes the "Werehog" and goes through slower-paced, combat-heavy levels that feel very much like those of the God of War series. While not terrible, the style of gameplay is nothing like people would expect of this series, and you'll probably rush through these as fast as you can in order to get back to the regular Sonic stages. Sadly, you'll have to take your time in these, as in order to progress through the game, you have to "buy" each level with medallions found throughout the stages that come before. It becomes a tedious task tracking these down, and overall it just feels like useless padding in order to extend the total playtime. But again, this is one of the best recent games of the series, and with it being at the lowest price it will probably go outside of pre-owned copies (I purchased mine for about $15), it's not exactly a waste of hard-earned cash. Buy it if you enjoy the adventures of everyone's speedy hedgehog, and recommend it to friends over the previous Sonic '06.

We purchased the game for our 10 year old son as a gift for doing well in school. He has enjoyed learning and playing the game. Great buy!

All the sonic games look he same to me. The same feel, the same basic design. But hey, my son loves it and it is very easy to pick up and play.

Got it at great price and had fun with it. Better than Sonic 06, you cannot go wrong with it.

My son loves to play this game and it doesn't have any violence, which is hard too find in games these days.

I used to play sonic games all the time as a kid so I got this for my little brother and he loves it too!

Mostly bought this coming off the amazing Sonic Mania. One of the better 3D Sonics made.

Playing sonic brought back a lot of memories. I enjoyed it, but I think my son enjoyed it more. Familiar gameplay, new levels, different features, but if you loved sonic before, you will love it now. Even if you haven't played sonic before, good games for the little ones.

Bought as a Xmas gift for the kids, they love it and play it all the time. Purchasing and shipping was very easy and quick.

My husband and I loved old sonic games so we figured we would give this a go for the kids. We play it more than they do though. So, it's fun but I'm not sure they are huge fans.

Sonic Unleashed might be over 10 years old but it still holds up and it is still a blast to play! Among the various playing styles is a game full of content, dedication, and fun. It isn’t my favorite video game of all time for nothing!

This game is not one for a person who does not play games much.

Haven't really played this one much yet, but then again it is Sonic so I guess what more is there to say. If you like Sonic then you pretty much know what you are getting into here. Like having the Classic Sonic moves and sounds with the more recent video game play, like 360 layout.
