1st PACKAGING IS GRADE A:)! Good job SONOS. Everything looks royal class when you open the box. 2nd there is a way to make LG Magic Remote work with the bar. SONOS has a support article on this. However I would recommend a “Logitech Harmony.” You can control from SONOS app too. 3rd update & setup was smooth. Main reason I got this was for the “Apple Music” service support. I tested Playbar with “Disney’s” movie “Moana.” It was absolutely incredible. Even my friend thought “Wow!!” No weird sounds. Every detail we heard. If you bought a new tv & was struggling between all the different sound bars. I struggled between “Bose ST 300” & “LG SJ9.”I would get the SONOS. For music & movies with the sub. It’s an epic combo. Even without the sub. I still felt the bar sounded pretty good especially for music. Music on this bar is beautiful. I’m going to hang my tv on the wall. The height of the sound bar is a little taller then most. You can see it in any Best Buy with live demos. Be aware Trueplay is coming to iPhone 8/X soon. That was my only disappointment. That will not effect review because of how new my iPhone 8 Plus is. Hoping for it to be soon.

The easiest device I've ever set up. Download the Sonos app and it walks you through the set up process step by step to connect it to your home wifi network and connect other Sonos speakers. The sound is clear and amazing. I like that I can control the volume from my iphone whether I'm listening to music or the tv. The sound bar does lack in deep bass however I plan to purchase the subwoofer soon and hope that will fill my void for complete sound range. My only complaint is that I can't play my iTunes radio stations on it but the Sonos app does offer a variety of radio stations to listen to but unfortunately I have to set them up on their app and can't use the established stations on my iTunes.

Sonos definitely lives up to the hype. These wireless speakers are easy to setup and sound incredible. I purchased a surround sound system with the Playbar and an extra speaker for my wife's office. She is extremely pleased. I will be buying at least 2 more Play 1s in the future to take care of the "quiet" rooms we have left.

When I went searching for a wireless surround sound option, it was because my wife hated having wires run under the rug to the rear speakers. I wanted a clean look that was easy to install and packed a punch. The Sonos playbar didn't disappoint. The sound quality of this semi-thin speaker is beyond my comprehension. It sounds like 9 speakers in 1 and can be controller by my iOS phone. What's not to like? PROS: - Easy to install. Hook it up to power and follow the steps on my iOS phone using the Sonos app. - AMAZING sound quality that never distorts...even when it's maxed out in volume! - Combines 3 speakers in 1 (left, right and middle front) and gets rid of messy wires. CONS: - $699 in one lump sum, but to be fair...you're eliminating purchasing 2 other speakers - Power cord isn't super long of a run, so you'll need to have it close to an outlet

I have always been skeptical about wireless speakers, however this speaker has changed my mind! Great, rich sound when playing my TV or streaming my iPhone. Price was steep, but sound and ability to control/play music from my phone makes up for it.

Sonos delivers on an easy-to-set-up, easy-to-use wireless, streaming sound bar speaker. The quality is better than decent, though as expected when matched with a Sonos SUB, it presents a much fuller and deeper audio experience. I've found the sound overall to be better than most cheaper ($350 or less) boxed systems in stores. As a Sonos product advocate, I love the simplicity and wireless music streaming capability. The sound bar enhances my TV experience while it also extends my home audio speaker zones.

I looked at several different playbars and felt the Sonos provided the best sound. The playbar was a little pricey however, I felt that the sound and flexability to add more speakers had made the Sonos worth it.

This was so easy to set up using my iPhone and iPad. The sound is great and the opportunity to expand with other speakers in other locations throughout the house wirelessly makes it so attractive. It syncs seamlessly with Pandora and other music sources as well.

I was looking into a home theater system. I was initially looking into the Bose Soundtouch 130 which sounded great in store and well its a Bose. The reason I went with this one instead is simple. I had gotten my wife the pair of Play 1's and they are small but sound great. Totally exceeded my expectations. And the sound bar paired up with the play 1's and the sub just took it to another level. And I can continue to add to the system unlike Bose where you are stuck with what you get. Long story short, yes it was very pricey when bought all at once, but well, I repeat, well worth the money.

Pros: Easy to setup Sounds Amazing Con: Expensive! I am still waiting to justify the expense of purchasing the sub and the additional speakers to make this a full surround sound system. but the difference between the tv speakers alone and the soundbar is night and day. I do not regret the purchase, though I would have been happy to pay a little less.

The price will tempt you to go elsewhere (Samsung, Bose) but it's an investment that's worth it. If you plan on having a movie theatre sound system one day but just can't afford everything at the same time this is for you. The playbar acts as the receiver and everything is connected wirelessly thru that. With additions like the subwoofer and mini speakers this will be a investment I won't be thinking twice about.

Seriously this thing is the bomb. I had an awesome set up which a receiver, nice Bose speakers, etc. prior to buying the SONOS system so I was nervous that the SONOS would not sound as good. Boy was I wrong!! It is even better and looks so much better too. That speaker bar packs a powerful punch, especially paired with the sub. The set up of this system could not be any easier. Love using the SONOS app on my smart phone. Highly recommend!

Sonos has taken over quality audio

Let me start by saying that I have always been a Bose fan. I have owned Bose equipment for as long as I can remember. I even purchased the Bose soundtouch 120 system before I purchased the Sonos. I was unhappy with the Bose system for multiple reasons. I always do a lot of research before I make a purchase, and read good reviews for both. However, I went with Bose first out of loyalty. When I took the Bose system back I exchanged it for the Sonos playbar, two of the play 2's, and a sub woofer. I could not be happier! The sound that comes out of the playbar is outstanding. If you are looking for a system that has great audio for television, and music this is the system for you. The sound quality is excellent, and with the system set up that I have it creates a much better surround experience than the Bose simulated sound. I know that currently it does not produce Dolby Digital 5.1, but once I purchase a television with optical pass through it will. Again the sound quality is fantastic, and if you have not paired a Sonos sub woofer with it yet you are truly missing out! Above the sound quality is the big differentiating feature of the Sonos products, which is the ability to wirelessly connect all speakers. It works flawlessly, for me at least, and the ability to add speakers at any time is awesome. You can set different speakers to different rooms, and play different things out of each room. TV in one room, music in another. Do not be afraid to try a new brand. If loyalty is holding you back from looking into Sonos then you are missing out on a quality product.

I had been in the market for a new surround sound system for several weeks and just wasn't sure what system to purchase. I read countless reviews online and continued to see Sonos in the top products. Having never seen them nor heard them, I was hesitant about making this my purchase. To my surprise, this conversation came up while talking to a friend and he owned a pair of play1's. After listening to them and watching him navigate through the app on his phone, I was very impressed to say the least. After several more hours of readingreviews online, I decided to go with Sonos. I had it in my head that a pair of play3's would suit me well. When I went to the store to make the purchase, the Sales Rep introduced me to the play bar and sub as well. The sound quality was amazing! And the idea of the 5.1 surround sound was very appealing. After contemplating the price, I decided to buy the package deal (play bar, sub & 2 play 3's) I absolutely love them! They sound just as good at home as they did in the store. And they make watching movies and sporting events even better. I was so impressed that I have since bout another play 3 and a play 1. The play 3 is located in my kitchen and I use the play 1 as a portable speaker. Since they run off my wireless network I move the play 1 from my sunroom to the garage to the porch or wherever I am working around the house. The speakers are extremely easy to set up and work great. I never realized how much I enjoyed listening to music non stop. The app is simple to navigate through and its links with Pandora and Spotify. It also links directly to the music on my phone and iPad. If your in the market for a 5.1 surround sound system, or just a few wireless speakers for the house, I definitely recommend Sonos.

I thought for several months about spending the cash to actually purchase the playBar, and then i finally pulled the trigger since i have every component connected to my television at home. I connected the playBar with the included optical cable from the audio out on my TV and was blown away with the quality of sound and the integration with the rest of my existing SONOS home Play3 speakers. The flexibility of being able to play anything that the TV has connected to it, and then do it NOW in every room of my home since the PlayBar connects every SONOS speaker now to the system as a whole, this purchase was worth the cost and the sound quality is amazing.

Recently we renovated our basement and I knew that I wanted to get a sound bar that I could hang on the wall under our TV. When Sonos announced that they were releasing the Playbar I knew I had to get one. I already had a Sonos system with 2 Play:3 and 1 Play:5 and I loved it. Being able to build out a wireless theater experience in the man cave was a no brainer. The Playbar sounds fantastic (for a sound bar). In our living room I have a Yamaha receiver with Klipsch speakers and sub and I think it sounds better. The downside to that setup is the wires. I'll trade a little less fidelity for wireless connectivity. I don't have one yet, but I believe that the Playbar needs a Sub to really make it shine. It's on my list, but the price is a little prohibitive right now. If you are on the fence, buy it. You won't regret it.
