This center channel delivers fantastic sound. It and the sub-woofer are the workhorses of our home theater and do a great job without fail. It's easy to hookup with a optical cable and ether-net cable. Then complete the setup through your smartphone. As I've said in my other reviews, SONOS is a fantastic system. We have them throughout the condo and surround in the home theater area.Easy to turn on and off rooms. Group them or use them individually. I've always wanted to have whole home audio. That's one of the reasons I chose the Sonos system. Yes it's expensive (way way way more expensive than many common soundbars). But, it has a lot of features built into it that you won't find anywhere else. The fact that it is expandable to all areas of your home (with the addition of Connect or Connect Amps) is a huge plus. I have 2 connect amps and this playbar (with the subwoofer), and I have complete whole home audio now. Simple, clean, and it sounds fantastic. The app is great too. Only beef I have (other than the price) is that some of the streaming apps need to be premium versions to work with Sonos. That's very annoying after dropping almost $1500 for the playbar and subwoofer to start. All in all, great sounding system with a great app. Biggest downside is the price, which is why I docked it 1 star.

Love my Sonos sound system. Easy setup, great sound, and it's wireless!

We went to Best Buy looking for a surround sound system for our living room/kitchen combo. Originally, we were looking for a completely wireless set of speakers but these need an outlet so they can be plugged in. We have an open floor plan, so it took a few tries to find good placement for the 2 "Play 1" speakers but since the final move they've worked out well. I dropped one star for the annoying requirement to reset the speakers after a power outage or having to unplug one. This takes more then a couple of minutes and is made more cumbersome because the speakers here are high enough to require a chair or stepladder to access. But the sound is very good and it is nice to be able to connect them via Bluetooth to several media players.

We already had numerous Play1 Sonos devices, and decided to simplify our existing home theater setup with the PlayBar. Soooo happy with this product. After disassembling my existing system with all the cables and wires, the setup of the Sonos was super easy. The surround sound, with the two Play1s is better than the "high end" wired system we had. Now, I just need to save a few $$ so I can add the sub. 100% endorse this product.

The sonos provides the most crispiest sound with high quality performance to inhance your listening pleasure.. great device that produces flawless sound effects watching a movie.. it is also wireless that also makes installing and connectivity so much easier .. it also makes it very easy to relocate your speaker without the hassle of re-wiring .. a little expensive but very much worth the money

a little pricey, but it also acts as the bridge for any wireless speakers you purchase in the future. Money well spent, I bought this and the wireless subwoofer. Both very easy to set up, and many great features. you can select any audio you desire for as many alarms as you want. I literally wake up in the middle of a concert.

This was a replacement for another sound bar which kept dropping off - disconnecting. This Sonos is super easy to set up. It has great sound and has worked flawlessly for the past month. I especially like being able to control the sound level from my phone - no need for another remote. I also like "grouping" feature with my two other Sonos speakers. I can power the same program across the house

Love it so far. We have only had it set up for a little over a week now, but the sound is much better than the TV and we also bought the companion Sonos with Alexa. The setup was very easy and walked us through on the app. Sound is great, no issues high or low. Looks beautiful as well. Sonos system is gret for being spread through the house so far as well.

Love this playbar. It is wireless and so sleek. I bought a Samsung first and returned it. Less money but not worth it. The minute I had the Sonos bar connected and listened to it I was sold. Connection was easy but I did have to purchase the bridge for the sub. Very pricey but it met what I was looking for.

You should know that I'm a fan of Sonos. So read this review with that in mind. I'm using the Sonos Soundbar Playbar with two Sonos Play 1's for a very excellent surround sound experience in my living room. What I like: 1. Ease of use - dummy proof setup. 2. Variety of use - I use this setup with my apple TV to stream all the music /movies/home videos etc... 3. Quality of use - I have no complaints with the highs and lows of music quality. Very satisfied with movie dialogue as well. Bummer: I'm a sound novice but this soundbar seems expensive from my perspective. Because I'd already bought into the Sonos system it was the logical, albeit somewhat expensive best choice for me. Well, that's my penny's worth...I guess you get what you pay for, or at least you hope you do.

Great sound, easy setup and easy to expand. Download the Sonos App to your smart phone, tablet or computer first. Follow the instructions from the App. I have since bought 2 Sonos Play1 speakers, which are in our lounge. I have a third Sonos Play1 speaker on order for the bedroom. They all sound great. You can group them so they all play the same source or you can separate them and have each room playing different sources. The Soundbar will automatically switch to the TV when the TV is turned on. Only two drawbacks with these speakers. One, all the new TV's come with low profile TV stands, and the Sonos will block your view of the bottom inch of the TV screen. I build a 2" wood stand for the TV stand to sit on. Two, these speakers are costly, but you are getting what you are paying for. Besides they eliminate most of the wires and the need for a receiver/amplifier.

I bought this as a gift for my father who already had several SONOS components but didn't have the ability to hook up his TV, this soundbar provides great quality sounds and seamless pairing to the rest of the SONOS system while being able to integrate his TV with just a simple optical audio cable.

With the higher price tag, I was glad to see the packaging of the soundboard was above normal (no Styrofoam). The setup was fairly easy to follow using the sonos app. I was even able to link up my Samsung tv remote which the Best Buy rep warned me might not work. Pricey, but comes through with fantastic sound quality especially compared to other similar products.

I bought this and 2 other wireless speakers for my bedroom. I wanted a system I can use for my tv (surround sound) build on and is wireless. As of now Sonos is THE ONLY wireless system to use as a theater AND use as a source of music entertainment. I bought denon helos and I bought polka systems and I had to RETURN them both because they can NOT do what the sonos do.

I have a Sonus system that is great. I looked at quite a few sound bars and even though the Sonus was pricy I bought it. I was not disappointed. It was easy to join it to the other parts of the system and the sound with the Sonus sub is fantastic. Well worth the money and an easy way to set up a decent surround system with the sub and 2 of the Sonus 1's.

I bought the SONOS Playbar as part as the 5.1 surround sound bundle. It sounds amazing and I love the whole home integration. Since buying this bundle I have bought another Play:1 (and will be buying more) so I can have whole home music playing. The one CON to this particular soundbar is that your only mode of connecting it to your AV equipment is via optical audio. Some TVs do not pass through surround sound via optical audio, so you may not get true surround sound from some sources. For example, my TV, Samsung, does not pass through surround sound via optical. So when I'm watching a DVD that surround sound signal gets sent to the TV and then TV then sends that to SONOS. Since my TV doesn't pass through surround sound, the signal sent to the playbar is a stereo signal. If all you have is the playbar, this is not an issue, but if you have a true 5.1 setup then it is an issue. The workaround that I ended up doing was to buy an optical audio AV switch. So now all my sources connect to the switch via optical audio and then the switch is connected directly to the playbar. Now all my video sources will play in surround sound.

Initially I wasn't planning on spending that kind of money on a sound bar but I'm real glad I did. The sound is amazing and love that I can use my iPad to control it and switch to music on my playlist or Pandora. I'm not a tech-savvy kind of guy and so I was surprised by how easy it was to setup. I will be buying more Sonos components for the rest of the house.

We are so happy with our Sonos purchase. It was a much needed update to our house. We got rid of our receiver, amp, and wired speakers and now have the sound bar and one speaker. Sonos gives great sound quality throughout our house and it is so easy to use through the Sonos app.
