have owned the Port for about a month now and use it to stream music to my Den/Outdoor Speakers which are driven by a dedicated amp.
Set-Up was easy and integrated immediately with my existing Sonos speaker. Controlling the speaker with Sonos app is also extremely easy, allowing you to group speakers on the fly to take your music with you as you move.
I use the Sonos Port/Speaker with Alexa and integration there works fine, though it is still missing the ability to set-up Sonos speakers within the Alexa app. Specifically this means you cannot group Sonos speakers with existing Alexa speakers.
While the Port is not the cheapest network player, I'm satisfied with the quality of the product and the integration in the Sonos environment. It is a nice addition and adds your existing speakers/amp into the Sonos group.

The Sonos Port Streaming Player was easy to set up, easy to link to all of my Audio Output equipment, which includes: Amazon Echo, CD player, Radio Tuner, and 2-Channel Amplifier. The Port also plays SONOS Radio. All of this is linked seamlessly; all can be controlled from the SONOS 2 App on my Amazon Fire Tablet. There is a bit of a lag time when I ask Alexa to play, of to set up a reminder, or an alarm (the reason is the relaxation of the SONOS Port into Standby mode when not used for several minutes -- but after it gets going, and is playing, there is no lag between voice command and the response by the SONOS Port. It has solved all of needs in my office space. Very Nice indeed! Life's entertainment has gotten one step easier to control with the Sonos Port Streaming Media Player.

I use this as input to an AVR which drives outdoor speakers. This allows playing the same music outside as on other Sonos speakers. I source Amazon or Plex for this. It's a nice little box, but it is overpriced for what it does.
perfect for connecting turntable to a Sonos set up

I have a whole house Sonos system, nearly every room. This was necessary for connecting a turn table, since Sonos simply does not do Bluetooth. It was a quick easy set up and works perfectly.

Sonos port allows you to add an existing non-Sonos equipment to your system. But as with added analog speakers it does come with sync issues. The issue is apparent with video+audio and sometimes will create a kind of echo/reverb effect. There is a delay adjustment you can perform through the app, but I have not the desire to play around with that at the moment.
In summary, I think the port is best when used for only audio systems. But if you want to add to a home theatre setup with video there might be sync issues.

Excellent follow on to the original Sonos Connect product. My Connect died and I needed something that could power both indoor and outdoor zones. I considered staying on Apple TV to get their new codec that is amazing for sound quality, but had some system configuration challenges.
Anyways, I bought this had couldn't be more pleased. I maintain the Sonos architecture, including app, ability to move music around the house, etc. and I noticed an improvement in sound quality. I'm very happy and continue to love the Sonos ecosystem!

this device works also my wife’s extremely happy because how it functions with her record player in our sonos system. This has changed our ability to listen to music throughout the house utilizing our turntable.

I am a Sonos fanboy, but it took me years to upgrade my old Sonos Connect (Gen 1) to this new Sonos Port. I utilize it to connect my pre-amp turntable to my Sonos speakers via RCA cables. So it's a very simplistic device, but it costs an absolute fortune to do so. Even with a 30% discount by "upgrading" my connect, the price was still too high for what the device does. It works well, but it's very expensive!

Works seamlessly with any home entertainment system, and has a simple plug and play design. Would recommend for any home theater or small living room setup

Same review as I submitted for the actual single Amp's. Very expensive per unit and I need several in my system. I have no idea why these are not consolidated into a single component as (5) Port media units and (2) Amp's these components add up. They do function as required and seem to work well.
