Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the Sub 4 Wireless Subwoofer's incredible sound quality and thumpy bass, with many also appreciating its design and ease of use. The quick and easy setup via the Sonos app and effortless wireless connectivity are also well-received. The main drawbacks mentioned are the high price and occasional compatibility issues with older Sonos devices.

I have this paired with my Arc in the living room and Beam in the bedroom and it delivers BIG TIME! It looks small and and blends in well but delivers the clean bass when needed. A must buy if you get a Sonos soundbar!

This thing really packs a punch. Connects super easy into the ecosystem with the Sonos app. My living room is a bit smaller and this thing really shakes the whole room. Love using it with the Arc and two Era 300s.

Is okay… you cannot tell the difference most of the time. In order to feel the difference the volume needs to be increased.

The sound of this subwoofer is incredible. whether your watching an action movie, listening to music or watching a game, this little dynamo speaker brings out all the low sounds and should not be underestimated. Not only do you hear the exitement but you feel it as well.

Perfect for a smaller room you are using like their bedroom and even living room. The bass used is really noticable and makes listening to movies and music even more enjoyable than just with the Sonos Beam. I had looked into buying the sub mini for a while and it was well worth the wait.

    Sounds decent but costs plenty

The mini sub was needed to add enough bass. A Beam Gen 2 sound bar alone just did not have enough low end. I agonized over the extra cost, but coughed up the money in the end to obtain decent sound up to medium-loud volume levels. I am sure that better sound can be obtained from more expensive offerings, but the Sonos Beam Gen 2 sound bar plus mini sub woofer pair probably sounds about as good as one can buy for less than $900 these days (and I drew the line there).

I have the Sonos soundbeam gen 2 with two Sonos SL. I recently added the sub to round out my system. The bass isn’t overpowering but at the same time it’s sufficient for my open are living room. It has definitely made a difference in watching movies especially with Dolby Atmos. If you have the Sonos soundbeam, definitely recommend getting this sub woofer to fill your sound.

This is a great addition to a "budget" Sonos setup if you have a small room. I have this paired with my beam gen 1 and 2 Ikea Sonos shelves. Added a whole new depth for tv, movies and music. Lacks at high volume, but given the size I'm okay with that. No rattles from the opposing design. Pricy, but it's Sonos, you know what you're getting into. If you like the Sonos ecosystem, add this to your beam!

Great sound in a small package. I have both the Sonos Sub and the Sonos Sub Mini and for a smaller room the Sonos Sub Mini presents a better value. I have the Sonos Sub Mini running in a set with Two Era 100’s and it sounds fantastic. I would highly recommend this subwoofer.

Good bass from a smallish package. You won’t notice it booming because it blends very well into the Sonos sound system. I’d recommend it for a beam or maybe arc, but it seems like it was “made” for a beam. I had heard rumors this sub would pair with roam or move, but that is not the case, and I think it was a miss to not allow dual subs (only 1 per setup, not dual compatible like the larger Sonos sub). Also, 429 for a “smaller” sub is not “affordable”, Sonos continues to price themselves 30-50% higher than they should. If this had been 299 and allowed dual setups, this would be 5 star product for me. But, if you need bass for an apartment living room, or similar setup, the mini sub offers good bass control without being overpowering.

It's expensive for what it is, that being said it works seamlessly with my Sonos beam. You can tell it's doing what it's supposed to do but you don't "feel" it at all.

I recently purchased a set of Sonos Ones for my office. The sound is wonderful ... but needed a little more bass. The Sonos Sub mini was a wonderful addition. I have the set same in my bedroom now ... couldn't be happier !

This mini-sub packs a BIG PUNCH! For a medium to amall room, if you have a large room then I would suggest getting two of them or buying the one big one. Which I have the big one in my living room and it sounds great too.

Sonos Sub Mini offers a solution for enhancing bass in smaller spaces, but its price and narrower frequency range may not suit everyone’s needs. If you’re looking to add some oomph to your existing Sonos setup, it’s worth considering

A Great Addition For Family Movie Night

I had a three Sonos speaker setup (Beam and two Ones) and was really happy with that setup, but it's amazing how much more full the sound is now in my home theater. It adds some really immersive bass that has made movie nights much more fun. I had been eyeing the big sub that is a step above this but it felt like overkill in my living room. I'm glad I waited for the Sub Mini to come along.

Very deep bass, doesn’t rumble too bad. I’m not sure how it does it, I think because of how it has both speakers pointed at each other, but it really doesn’t vibrate much, while still producing a lot of good quality bass.
