Smooth bass, no distortion. Bass is overkill when attached to an Arc, unless you watch a lot of music videos, imo! Perfect addition to my 5s. Setup was easy with Sonos app. Also easy to move from Arc to 5s after initial setup and back again.

I added the Sonos Sub to my Sonos Arc soundbar and it has made a remarkable impression in terms of sound quality. To give some context, i got Sonos Arc SB a year prior and it was fairly good as a standalone SB for a year , however post adding the Sub. The base is incredible, i recommend first thing you should do after pairing up is watching Mad Max Fury Road - Junkie XL Music, that will test all the aspects of SB and Sub. I think this is just perfect for the movie watching experience as mostly all the new streaming services support Dolby. May be in a year i might go for a 2nd sub for more sound.

Elegant looking with deep bass, the Sub Gen 3 has a small footprint and comes in a glossy finish. Even at default settings, it will shake a medium-sized room. Turn it up, and your spouse might think a helicopter is landing on the house. I paired it with the Sonos Arc this past December, and am very pleased with this product.

The sub was delivered a day after my Arc. Thought the Arc sounded pretty good until I hooked up the sub. Setup was quick and easy with the S2 app. The sub transformed the listening experience for me and created the movie theater experience. The price point of the sub is a bit steep but in my opinion it is worth it.

The Sonos Gen 3 Sub Woofer is a must add for any Sonos system! Here's why; first it's sleek clean design is artful to just look at, and the sub can be positioned however you like. Sonos Sub technology is an audio marvel with deep hitting bass to subtle low overtones. The beauty of this beast is that it takes all the low end frequency load off your other Sonos speakers so the don't need to do the heavy lifting required by low audio frequencies, this allows your system to really produce incredible spacial sound that other systems just can't match. Thunderous bass when needed with no muddy distortion, just clean pure bass the way it should be!!

Great subwoofer! A must have to complete your Sonos home entertainment system. I love the white colored speakers. It provides a very modern look that will never go out of style. Although on the pricey end of the market, this sub truly does complete the Sonos package.

Great addition to the Sonos Arc. I used the Arc stand-alone for half a year before deciding that it couldn’t confidently handle the bass. The Arc has had bass bottoming-out issues since launch and I’m still not sure if it has been fixed yet. But with the Sub, you don’t need to worry about that any more. The bass is taken to another level, and the only thing you need to worry about is the neighbors, or perhaps the electric bill. You can place it anywhere in any direction and get room filling bass that makes explosions in movies sound so much more immersive. The app makes pairing it with your Arc or other Sonos devices easy. Downsides: one, it is heavy, but you won’t care after you successful place it in your room. Two it is expensive. Only purchase if punchy bass is worth that much to you.

White goes well with the trim of everything in my house as far as cxents are concerned. Simple and easy to pair with the arc or beam. Love it. Adds the much needed thump when watching movies or listening to music while cleaning.

I bought a Sonos Arc soundbar and initially decided against spending the extra money for a sub. Why do I need thumping bass? Taking advantage of a sale, I decided to try adding the sub. I’m very glad that I did. The extra bass adds a whole new dimension to whatever I’m playing through the system. More importantly, the sub does some of the work the soundbar previously was doing, so the soundbar actually sounds better than before. The sub synchronizes seemlessly with the soundbar or other Sonos speaker.

I got sick of the space and lack of continuity in my existing expensive Home Theater System. I purchased the Arc soundbar along with 2 SR1 speakers. The system sounded good but not great. After reading several articles and reviews, I realized that to complete the home theater system. I needed the Sonos Sub. The sub takes the lower range of sound (generally bass) from the soundbar and allows the soundbar to do what it does best which is produce sharp midrange and treble. As soon as I hooked up the sub (which might have been the easiest set up I've ever gone through using the Sonos App, the sound quality went from pretty good to WOW. The sub is not overly THUMPY (unless you want it to) but produces a true surround sound experience (I had to include the 2 SR1's). The sub itself is beautiful (piano black) and has a very unique look.

I bought this sub to contribute to a richer experience with my previously purchased pair of Sonos One SL speakers in my living room. Listening to music without the sub was OK but once the sub was integrated into the pairing....I totally had one of those 'you don't know what you were missing' moments. I enjoy electronica/EDM music - so i picked a song that i knew had a rich spectrum of sound.....pounding bass and lovely treble. The overall experience was the music sounded more full and complex than it was previously. My advice to you is if you have a pair of the Sonos wireless speakers....I'm sure they already sound great.....but to make them sound amazing, you really need this sub.

Great subwoofer. This thing is amazing. Tremendous sound from a small package. The sub blends into most decor. It is attractive yet not flashy and easily placed for optimal sound. I give it 4 stars on value. The MSRP is high but justified. I got mine on a Bf sale for $600. That is a great deal, highly recommend, even at full price. Fills a room with a lot of adjustability to fit your needs. This thing has big rumble. Cannot believe how loud it is. I keep mine set anywhere from 0 to 3 and it goes to 15…

The subwoofer has been great! It can be subtle, but can cover all the low end that you need for a large explosion in a movie or specific types of music. I definitely recommend adding if you have a Sonos set up and don’t have a subwoofer for it.

The Sonos - Sub(Gen 3) Wireless subwoofer adds another dimension to the sound from my Sonos Arc. I had purchased the Arc soundbar back in December '22 and didn't buy the subwoofer because I thought it was pricey. While the sound from the Arc was great, I missed the bass and bangs and crashes in action movies. Recently the price went down by a hundred dollars and I decided to buy the sub-woofer. Now I have it all. Besides the sound, it looks pretty cool and you might want to put it in a place where people can see it though it will perform just the same even if you put it in some unobtrusive place.

After a couple of delays my Sonos Sub Gen 3 finally arrived! If you’re familiar with Sonos products then the Sonos Sub Gen 3 is more or less the same with the deep bass response and elegant design we’ve come to know from the previous generation. The major difference with the Gen 3 are it’s internals. I believe it has an improved WiFi card, BLE, and improved processing power. I do wish the Sub came in a matte finish this time around but the glossy design is still beautiful. If you’re looking into buying the Sub, I highly recommend it as it makes your Sonos system better overall. When you add a Sub to your Sonos system, the low frequencies get offloaded to the Sub so that the Beam/Arc and Ones can handle the higher frequencies. It’s a must if you’re serious about investing in the Sonos ecosystem.

I don’t know what kind of magic they put into these things but the bass is amazing! Expensive but worth it for the amount of room-filling bass you get and freedom of placement. Rattles our 20x20 living room with 14 ft ceilings with no problem. I bought a second one for my media room.

The Sonos Subwoofer Gen3 made all the difference in the overall sound reproduction, depth, warmth, imaging and, impact of movie soundtracks and musical reproduction. I have the Sonos Beam Gen2 soundbar and two Sonos Era 100 background speakers. Without the Sonos subwoofer; the Sonos Beam was very good on human voice but, needed the subwoofer's extra bass for impact and realism. The overall sound stage is improved..

the sonos products are amazing, and the subwoofer is no different. Easy to set up, easy to use, sounds incredible!
