Bought the Sonos PLAYBAR by itself and it did exceptionally well by itself in providing a nice bass kick to music and movies, but adding the SUB made the experience even better. Movies and gaming are a lot more thrilling and my music experience with it is great. Be aware, this SUB will really powerful and neighbors will definitely hear it. However, the app comes with settings to first get the right kind of bass from it, as well as a "night mode" in order to subdue any excess bass to not wake up the neighbors or kids. Overall an awesome sub that I would without suggest anyone with a playbar NEEDS.

The speaker is very nice sounding and does not rattle the furniture as some of the large subs do. The speaker is expensive but well worth it. Very appealing look.

Awesome sub with incredible sound. Expensive, but absolutely knocks the house down. The bass is so clear, deep, widely adjustable through the app. Great add-on.

We wanted great sound for our TV. The subwoofer is perfect, and the music channels sound amazing! The TV show sound like a movie theatre. We couldn't be more pleased.

This sub is very good. It makes a big difference to any song that you listen to. I enjoy the deep sound it makes but I am sure my neighbors don't. I just love it.

I have had Sonos speakers for a while and they build quality into everything they make. The Sonos Playbar by itself does an phenomenal job of providing surround sound including base. BUT, if you want to feel the base like you do in a real theater then you have to get the Sonos Sub! This sub has twin opposing drivers. What that really means... you get all of the base and never have the terrible sound of rattling from the sub. It's BEAUTIFUL AND FUNCTIONAL. You can stand it up or lay it flat to put it under a couch. Sonos always does it's speakers well. And while they are pricey you are getting a -Wireless, You can just plug it into the wall and don't have any additional wires (note: you must have one device connected to the network to serve as the main controller. All other speakers can be wireless to use.) -mobile, If you are having a house party out side and it's not going to rain just plug it in and away you go. -built to last 10+ years, the colors don't fade and the sound has not noticeably degraded. -control from any device, You can install the app on iOS, Android, Mac, or PC and play your music from just about any streaming service you can think of. (I use Spotify, basic Radio, my itunes library off of my computer) In summary, you can buy individual speakers as you have the money to accumulate the sound system of your dreams. Trust me you will LOVE IT!

I was looking at a Bose surround sound system and the employee told me I'd be happier with the sonos. I was skeptical. But setup is easy. And sounds great!

the salesman said you don't need the sub but it gives such a great finishing quality. the sound is very good to great and set up and installation is so easy.

We purchased the Playbar, sub, and two Play 1s. They look great, sound great and it was the most simple speaker setup I have ever experienced. Well done Sonos!

The sound is wonderful. I bought the playbar also. Love the fact that it is wireless. The only con is the price but not enough to keep me from buying it.

If you have a sonos playbar, this is a must have. It instanlty and significantly improves the sound of the playbar. The sub sounds great and is very powerful. It looks amazing and I dont feel like the need to hide it. My only problem with this sub was the price. You are almost forced to buy this and for the price for the sub and playbar you could probably get a very good complete surround sound system. The reason I didnt do that and chose this is that I already have a sonos system set up in the house and my wife didnt want to have speakers everywhere and in the walls. So this was the best alternative for me. Set up is very easy, Just takes about two minutes from a pc.

We waited to get this to make sure we liked SONOS. We should have gotten it right away. Solid sound and very sleek! We are also HUGE Sonos fans.

As already having several Sonos components I should have known to not be skeptical, but $800 seemed steep for just a Sub. After I got several gift cards for Christmas and I broke down and bought the sub. I could not be more impressed. The sound quality is awesome! I have it paired up with my Playbar and music is killer. I can not turn it up past half volume on the sub without worrying about the neighbors complaining. It even sounds great with movies and general TV watching. Needless to say I am impressed! Far exceeded expectations.

Most of the Woofers would start shaking themselves when they are set to high, but these have two cancelling woofers and u actually feel the Sub power instead of just shaking of the floor. Only downside this is really expensive. For 700$ these are good addition to playbar but buy it only if u have deep pockets, otherwise playbar has enough bass to handle.
