This is the first sound bar we've owned. As it is the first, I was not sure what to expect from an installation and use perspective. In spite of very poor directions from Sony, we were able to complete the install and set-up without too much trouble. Sound quality is good even for network TV and really rocks when used with a DVD. My biggest complaint is that the wireless sub-woofer seems to cut in and out without warning. I've reset the wireless connection and tried different locations all with the same intermittent results. Sounds good when it works, very annoying when it quits.

Hooked up to the TV the sound is great for those channels that provide good sound quality but for those channels that don't provide good sound I was hoping it would improve those and it doesn't. I do enjoy playing music via Bluetooth it sounds great

We just moved to the Lancaster area. At our previous home we had a full surround sound home theater setup but didn't have room at our new, smaller home for the large floor speakers. So, we decided to go with a sound bar. I was a little apprehensive about what we would be losing by going this route; however, we are delighted with it. Great sound, crisp, clear audio. Very, very happy with this selection.

I bought two other sound bars (for other TVs) before this one. This was the largest and that shows in the quality of the sound. I'm having a problem syncing audio to lip movement but I don't think the design is faulty I just need to tweak my settings.

I'm impressed with the sound of this soundbar my only complaint is user interface is can be laggy sony needs to put more effort into their TVs and soundbar like more software updates

This sound bar not only increases the volume of both voices and music without distortion, it enriches the sound quality immensely. I originally purchased this sound bar because I was having a hard time clearly hearing voices over background noise in movies and shows, even with the soundbar I had. This one not only alleviated the problem but has enhanced my quality of viewing movies and listening to music.

We purchased this unit to compliment our new television, a Sony - 75" Class (74.5" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range. My wife especially enjoys the crisp, clear sound that it provides vs our prior soundbar unit W/sub bass. prior unit had a much more muffled sound that required high levels of volume in order to clearly hear most any dialogue or commentary.

FIRST ONE WEE BOUGHT DID NOT WORK PROPERLY REALLY DIDNT PLAN ON GETTING ANOTHER BUT SALES MAN TALKED US INTO IT AND WE ARE GLAD HE DID SECOND ONE WORKED GREAT.

I recently purchased this sound bar and I must say the audio is crystal clear. I came from a klipsch 5.1 system so I am familiar with the difference. Bass is a concern for most people and while this does not pack the puch of my 12" klipsch sub, it deals plenty of bass to feel it in the house. Highs are very clear and let's not forget this thing looks really good and fits under your tv with stand.

Good sound. Bigger than I thought. Be advised this may block the IR signal of your TV if placed directly in front on a media stand (bought this in combo with a Sony 75" TV). Geek squad installer recommended that I buy a 2x4 to raise my TV. In the back.

The sound bar is a great pair to our awesome new TV. Sound quality makes watching this beautiful TV as special as it should be. Certain programs are awesome theater quality and music through this sound bar is like a full entertainment system in itself.

I got this as part of the Sony bundle deal, I can't imagine anyone buying this full price. Yes, it has clear sound, but it doesn't get very loud and when the movie just has speaking going on its still pretty low. Also the subwoofer keeps cutting out which is a major part of my movie sounding good. I did the settings as Sony said to get the best sound and still.

Was tired of setting up my 7.1 system and decided to go with a soundbar. I must have listened to about 30 of them at different places. When I saw this unit on sale for $320 I went for it. Set up was easy even with a tv without ARC HDMI connection. Turned it on, it discovered the subwoofer and that was it. Great sound and excellent bass, my neighbors probably hate me now!

I got this to go with my sony xbr55x700d and must say that I'm very pleased with it. Specially supporting HIRES music and 3 hdmi inputs, Bluetooth, etc. the clarity of the sound and great tight base from the subwoofer makes this product a must own.

I bought the LG SK9Y which had repeated connection issues - I have it 3 tries because i wanted it to work so badly - before I finally found a sweet deal on this one as Best Buy was blowing them out. So happy with my decision. It’s not surround sound of course but as far as sound bars go I couldn’t be happier - I paid $250 to put it into perspective.

Great value. I took back two more expensive systems before settling on the Sony NT5. This system has a great sound and is easy to set-up. I purchased the optional Sony ZR5 back speakers for a surround sound experience...again easy to pair with the front sound bar, unlike more expensive systems that were difficult to pair and hear. I replaced an older wired system and couldn't be happier.

This sound bar puts out the perfect sound and looks great with my television.

So I wanted a soundbar. So I wanted a good soundbar. Sony was the one that won me over. Listened to all of the ones on display and the Sony provided the sound, style and looks I wanted. And since they were on sale it made the decision that much easier. Highly recommend this soundbar whether its on sale or not. It will bring the lifeless tv volume to life.
