I decided to upgrade my Sony sound bar and go for a high end Samsung but after reading reviews and look into the features I was looking for I went for this Sony. Money well spend. Fantastic sound and best of all I get to control my Samsung tv and the sound bar with one remote. Happy buyer. Downside the subwoofer not really what I was expected but all together does a great job

The soundbar and subwoofer sounds really good for the price point. Used with a Sony tv and integrates well with all components. Sound fills basement well.

I tried a lower priced sony unit prior to buying this one and it was terrible so I was a bit timid on getting this one. Sony has definitely made some approvments. It's a good soundbar. If you can catch it on sale like I did, it's worth the money.

I had a Samsung sound bar and wireless subwoofer just prior to this. Honestly, that sound was better. More lifelike, more realistic. Definitely more bass. This Sony soundbar and subwoofer certainly improve over the TV sound alone. But the subwoofer never makes one feel as if one is "in the action" on Star Trek, Star Wars, Bourne, Mission Impossible, etc. It's all a little weak. The Samsung was also better at creating a 3D soundstage. Also, the soundbar has to be hardwired to the TV. The Samsung worked via Bluetooth; this doesn't. So, in summary, it's good. But there are better options out there. I will say "recommended," but only if you have a Sony TV and want the ease of the connection.

Excellent packaging. Protected product well and yet extremely convenient to unpack. Feature rich product, although somewhat complex to understand for the average consumer. I found the set-up a little confusing and was unable for quite some time to control my Sony TV with its remote because I had to locate the soundbar in front of the TV's receptor. Finally, after researching on-line, I discovered that it is possible to have the soundbar repeat the IR signal to the TV behind it. Probably would have known this had I read the entire 84 page manual in advance, but the manual's organization is not user friendly. Finally, I do not find the quality of the sound to be nearly as impressive as the BestBuy salesman and the reviews led me to believe, especially at this price point. I would still recommend the product although with reservations.

Bought this with a Sony 65 inch, and since the promotion knocked off 200 off I thought I would take a chance. Connecting and setup was a breeze but I'm on the techie side. The sound from streaming music is superb, rich bass (not overpowering) crisp highs and mids. Is it Bose, no - but it ain't 1200 bucks either. Watching movies was a bit less inspiring so far, not as thunderous as you would expect but I may need to adjust. If I can get the movie audio to sound as impressive as the streaming music out of the box then this would get 5 stars. I just have to sit down and take the time to fine tune it. Your results may vary but I'm content. So many options to connect to this unit, bluetooth, chromecast, network, hdmi arc. Add more speakers for rear channels or for other rooms - wirelessly.

This soundbar sounds really good. The bass does go throughout the room, but it does not quite envelope you. That is the reason I gave it 4 instead of 5. But, it is much better than the 2 previous sound bars that I have had.

I was actually expecting more with the sound bar. I was so frustrated when setting this thing up. The instructions are confusing and my TV kept defaulting to the USB as the input even though I clearly had the ARC HDMI connection set up. Upset that it has no Equalizer feature and the bass is adequate but not great. The other issue is that when placed in front of the Sony 65X900E TV it actually blocks the remote control sensor on the lower center of the TV and the TV remote won't work. I bought this as a bundle with the TV. I suggest buying the TV alone first prior to deciding if you actually need the sound bar at all.

We now have a Sony soundbar in 3 rooms of our house and they are really nice. This one has to be the best of them all with the HDMI arc and great sound. The bass could be a little better but its a soundbar and is a great option to the full blown surround sound of a big system. This is mounted to the wall under our new Sony 55" TV in the master bedroom and we couldn't be happier.

This is probably the best sound bar I have ever heard. I had the new Bose Soundtouch 300 and returned it for this. I am using the Sony XBR930D with this soundbar and it sounds great. The key to making it sound good is to put the legs on it as if you were going to mount it so that way it stands up. I first had it laying down like how it comes out of the box and it did not really sound that great. Once I put the legs on it and had it standing up it got loud and fills my whole living room with surround sound and I probably only turn it up 30 percent of the volume it can go.

I'v e never had a tv with a soundbar before. When I was setting this up it came with a sub-woofer. The setup instructions were not very good but the trouble shooting area gave me enough info to set it up. Nice sound!

This system blends in wonderfully with my new Sony 55" 4K TV. Design is excellent and the TV / Sound Bar look like one integrated unit. I wouldn't go as far as saying the sound is excellent but it is exactly what I wanted - something much better than the sound from the TV. If someone is going to use the system for significant amounts of music they may be disappointed.

Simple to set up. Beautiful sound and a handsome addition to our console.

Love this soundbar. Added it to my 55" Sony TV and the sound is so much bigger! Loud and clear sound, well worth the investment!

We purchased this along with our 65" Sony Bravia. At the time it was $100 off so can't complain about that. It comes with a wireless sub woofer and digital amp. The sound is great so I don't use my surround system anymore that was hooked up trough my stereo amp. I would definitely recommend this product
