The sound is crisp & clear and way better than using the TV speakers alone! Makes it feel like the whole room is engulfed in sound rather than just the corner of the room where my TV sits. I can hear the TV so much better now! The setup was easy and everything works as it's suppose to. Plus it has built-in wifi so there's a bunch of other apps/programs it can do. I'm not a surround sound enthusiast, so I don't know all the specs, but I'm very pleased with my purchase.

I've had many different brands and i will buy another sony htrt5. Loud and crisp for movies and music. The wireless subwoofer is easy to set up, just plug it in the wall and that's it.

Setup was nice and easy and can connect to your phone via BT along with casting. Only missing a radio though.

We have a sony soundbar that has a built in subwoofer which we love and moved to the bedroom so we thought we would get this one for the living room and the sale price was nice!

I wanted something that handled 5.1 and Dolby Digital Plus, and didn't take up too much space. This system fit the bill, and has been going strong for years. It also includes HDMI inputs with 4K pass-through, which can come in handy.

You can spend a little time to get use to it because it has a lot of features, some are difficult to set up, so be patient and read the manual. Also if you have an outdated TV you can spend a little more time looking how to connect the TV and the soundbar over the HDMI.
