This sound bar is solid and reliably adds surround sound to your systems. Separation could be better for the bar speakers but the wireless speakers are great. The system needs to be calibrated to be balanced in terms of volume.

Sounds great, especially with music. Generally good loudness but can be a bit quiet with some movies.

The main selling point that Sony wants to push is this bar is capable of HD Audio and 4k passthrough. That does sound nice, but that isn't the entire tale. If you are planning on hooking this TV up to your brand new 4k HDR TV you will be disappointed. While this TV supports 4k passthrough, it doesn't support HDR passthrough. Nor will it as it most likely has HDMI 1.4. I know what you're thinking, but you've heard only HDMI 2.0 support 4k @ 60 Hz. This isn't completely true. What this sound bar does is provide support only to 8 bit panels and YCbCr 4:2:0 at 4k resolution. This means if you want to use your new TV and this sound bar to get uncompressed audio you will be sacrificing the wide color. These specs are typical of HDMI 1.4 and this model along with the HT-ST9 (their "high end" 1000$ model) and HT-NT3 have been out since 2015 and you would think they would have pushed an HDR10 update by now if possible. What this means if you're not willing to sacrifice your colors you can use the ARC for your TV and get compressed DTS or DD 5.1. At this point there is basically no difference between this sound bar and the Vizio besides costing twice as much. Also, the Vizio does get louder, but you will need an optical cable. I would say the main positive of this, is it is completely wireless besides the power cords. While this bar may work currently since most media is only Full HD it is from future proof and not worth the money at that point for an ordinary bar. I believe you can hook up a regular blu ray and have the TV do the upscaling to 4k for things like games etc. It still has no HDD though. Luckily I bought it when it was on sale, but at its price of 600$ you are better off with the lower priced Vizio or invest in a true surround system.

Very good and loud sound quality when playing on Bluetooth. Volume is significantly lower when playing from dvd or Netflix but still decent. Haven't had time to try to adjust it so not sure if it is fixable.

Paired with a curve TV this thing is beautiful it's sound is satisfying fills the bedroom nicely. I was really on the fence between this and the 7500. Still thinking maybe... however. For the price point it is very satisfying also comes with my wife's approval. So that's always a plus

I bought this system at $250 as one of the Deal of the Day and because it's a Sony. Its full price seems a bit high. For the price I paid this is a great deal. The system was easy to setup, especially the wireless subwoofer and rear speakers. Its display auto mutes after a short while which is a nice feature since the soundbar sits in front of the TV. I like to turn up the volume when watching movies. However, its max volume sounds not loud enough to me (it could be that my hearing needs to be checked :)). That's the only minor complain I have for this system.

I bought this when it was on sale for $299.99, so it was a great deal. You definitely need to tweak the settings or it will not sound very good. Best option I could find that is wireless.

The sound on this thing is awesome! Watching movies and playing video games through my PS4 never sounded so real! I got this on the daily deal at half off the original price and could not be happier. Only down side is how huge the box is that it comes in.

Easy set up with our smart TV. Has good sound in small living room - does not seem to overpower listeners. Happy with this product and seems to live up to reputation.

Great wireless rear speakers. Calibration does not have enough volume have to manually raise levels. Has plenty of bass and highs. Great deal $250

Purchased this gift for my 25 year old son. Works really well for his condo. He is happy with it. Was easy to hook up and doesn't look bad either. Sounds great and worth the $250

So far have no problems with this and the sound is rely impressive. I like how the sub-woofer and the two side speakers are all wireless.

I love this sound bar, along with my roommate. Very easy setup for me, and sounds great! Only issues we have found is that sometimes when using a mobile device it doesn't seamlessly switch back to inputs; along with switching inputs not being the easiest in the first place. But overall I think it is a great sound bar for the price I got it at. Totally worth the buy if you can afford it.

The sound is not great, but it's better than average. Good base sound, it's great for music, but when playing movies, the sound is just too low. It is just ok for a small room. I bought it at a discounted price because it was an open box plus it was the deal of the day. I would have never paid regular price for it.

Set up was easy. Sound is great. With a 4K TV the system provides sound to match the 4K resolution. Processes HDR without problems.
