One if the reasons I chose this new one was because it had a USB PORT, and I thought I could connect my cell phone to play my music, but I think it's not compatible. I hate reading directions so I haven't figured all out. Sound is fairly decent, but when it changes to a new disc, it makes a lot of noise. My other player was much quieter. I guess you get what you pay for.
