The salesman was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in helping me to understand the difference between the Sony models available in 55". I have bought Sony for years but it has been awhile since I bought the last TV and the technology has changed dramatically.

GoogleTV Makes Latest Bravia Disappointing

TV has a fantastic picture, as you might expect from a Sony Bravia. But the GoogleTV integration is gratuitous and non-performant. Does not sync audio and video when using optical connection to a Sony receiver. Poor sync between audio/video is also present when using HDMI with or without the eARC interface - workaround requires using a Developer setting to limit background processes to 2 or 3 - setting reverts to default after restart (which is frequent because of auto-update). Overall: Boo!

Open Box nightmare

Beware open box at Best Buy. This was listed as an Excellent condition product online, ordered for delivery and came with no power cord, remote or manual. Best Buy expected me to purchase these separately. I returned it. Sales associates in the stores have told me since that Open Box is a HUGE gamble. Best advice, only buy Open box if you're actually in the store and can find out the contents.

This a great TV and the sales people and delivery staff are excellent. We har good advice on the purchase and the delivery was on time and the the driver was also very helpful in showing us various operating tools for the new tv.

Terrible Sound Setup

The picture is outstanding but unfortunately the audio set up is terrible. Trying to pair a bluetooth device and sound won't synch. When I go to settings and manually sync, it holds only until the tv is turned off. The entire process has to be done every time the tv is turned back on. I finally got frustrated and just used the tv speakers and then they were out of sync with the picture. Too much work. Returning and purchasing an LG again which didn't have these issues

This is far from the experience we intended for you. If you still have your unit, we encourage you to follow the troubleshooting steps below so we can help identify and resolve the audio issue:
To resolve the Bluetooth syncing issue, we suggest verifying the settings to confirm that your TV and Bluetooth device are correctly paired. I got the Sony Bravia 8 because it has a reputation for being a really good gaming tee but unfortunately it wasn't. One thing that Disturbed me the most is every single time it detected a TV. It would go straight into Dolby vision and when it's in dilby vision it wouldn't allow me to make any kind of adjustments with contrast or brightness or color or anything. At the same time I had to do an a lot of adjustments in order to regulate the picture settings for SDR and HDR. It was a lot of work and not worth it. So I exchanged it for the LG G4 with which I'm extremely happy!
