||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This stereo is great for what it is. The Best Buy description says it is Apple CarPlay compatible. It is not. It is a great Bluetooth, USB, radio receiver. I bought it because it said it was CarPlay ready. I’m not disappointed in the radio itself, I feel I was duped by the description.

I can connect my smartphone and use Pandora, Spotify, or even Google play music. Once and a while the phone and the Media Reciever would disconnect for a short while and reconnect, but I could also assume that may be the signal in the area affecting the content I stream. When the sun does hit the device, it is a bit difficult to see. In addition, during the night, the device does not auto-dim. I usually need to manually adjust the brightness. Overall this device is great. I am using a 2000 Celica GT. I also had to invest in a bracket and wire harness.

Best Buy's website had the wrong info which they have now corrected. Also another peculiar thing this head unit does is if you are listening to music, either through the tuner or via bluetooth, and you press the menu button the music stops. What if your just trying to look at your settings or want to look at your backup camera? The unit shuts off the music! So stupid! On a side note: Best Buy Aiea's customer service is top notch. Especially Mae. She went over and above the call of duty to make sure I was taken care of after I told her the Best Buy website had the wrong info on it. Thank you Mae for your terrific customer service!
