Overall this is a good USB to Micro USB cable. In fact, it is better than the bargain cables you can find online due to the design of the Micro USB end. All cables have to fit snugly to prevent the end from just falling out. Cheap cables use raised bumps that aren't high enough or are quickly pressed flat enough that they fall right out. Good cables, like this one, use tiny barbs with a spring that latch on much more securely. This alone gets the cable 4 stars. Pricing isn't great, but I'm willing to pay $5.-$10. dollars more for the better quality ends and the convenience of being able to pick it up at a store immediately rather than wait 2 or more days for it to arrive. The problem is that the end itself isn't very sturdy. Using it for it's intended purpose- that is to say charging a PS4 controller- means that if you want to play more than a few hours, you have to leave it plugged in to keep the controller charged. It plugs in the front of the controller & sticks straight out, so if there's ANY amount of stress the end will bend. Sit on the cable or get it caught on the chair? Don't pull normally or you'll break the end. At best the barbs no longer stick out so the cable falls out easily like other cables, at worst contacts in the cable end itself are broken meaning an intermittent or worse no connection. It is a problem with this particular cable? or Micro USB cables in general? It seems to be the latter, unfortunately, but this the best middle ground I've found to date- above average quality, yet inexpensive to replace on a regular basis.

I recently purchased this USB charge cable for my PS4 and I'm extremely pleased with it! The cable is of great quality, ensuring a stable and clear connection between my console and my controllers. I know when it comes to branded merchandise in general I usually prefer to get the same name brand as the item it’s used for. Since Sony doesn’t sell a branded cable this one is the best quality and I can find also it’s officially licensed which means it’s suppose to work well. Not some junk that you find at swap meets and places like frys electronics that fall apart after a month of use. Has a good length to it and connects on both ends without compromise.

Great product. I used it to transfer data from my camera when I forgot my SD card. It did what I needed to do. Thank you to the Geek Squad at the Spartanburg for recommending this product. The phone agent had me order the completely wrong product.

Hard to believe that I had to look in the video game aisle to find a charging cord for my headphones. Time marches on I guess. It's a longer and very heavy duty cables though. I've had some that were just cheesy. No cheese here.

I've tried other brands to no avail. They last only a short time. So by far this charges quicker and is sturdier. It does not get the bend in it due to the reverse plug in on the controller that off brands must be twisted to plug in. I believe the repetition of twisting causes the cable to no longer work of off brands. The cord is made with better quality near the plugs. Thicker/sturdier. Pic displays the off brand in white, twisted and next to the official Sony black cord.

I love these cords! They last a lot longer than other cords I have wasted money on in the past. I will ONLY purchase this one from now on. Well worth the money! Great charging and it's fast. My phone is actually the same input, so I always have 2 and if one goes out, we have a spare until we can get a replacement. It works out great!

I personally think that everyone who is a gamer needs one of these cords. It is perfect for when you are playing but your battery is dying. Simply plug it on and connect it to the control. Long enough cord so you do not have to stop playing while charging it up.

This USB to Micro-B USB charging cable is much better than the one that came with the PS4. It has significantly more length and this Micro-B jack is much easier to connect and disconnect from the PS4 controller while still having a firm connection while in use. This is definitely the cable you want to buy if you're looking for higher quality than the standard cable.

I bought plenty of this cable, 10+ whenever I need a microUSB cable. I also give this out to family and friends and they still works. Fast charging and the held up to the use and abuse. I had bought it first back 5 years and kept buying whenever i need one. It’s also very cheap, and the ones around the same price feels and look cheap and not working as good.

Exactly what I needed to continue my gaming experience. Tried another USB cable laying around but wasn’t compatible, and another, also epic failure. However this find at Best Buy was on point. Price and availability was just what the doctor ordered, so happy with purchase.
