Been waiting to get this one for awhile but I finally took the plunge. Had a previous Sony xbr led and the picture quality was great but the black levels were adequate and inconsistent. As soon as I turned on the A9G, I was blown away! The black levels on this tv are so good that I don’t even see the black bars on widescreen movies with the dark drapes behind my mounted tv in the dark. The brightness and picture quality is amazing and I don’t want to watch anything on my 4K projector anymore.

Beautiful picture. I selected this model over the A8 for the additional features such as the more advanced processor and the built in screen center speaker. Both are excellent upgrades. The built in center speaker allows a clean setup with no detached center speaker. It also seems that the voices are actually coming from the person on the screens mouth. If you decide on this model I would highly recommend getting a Calibration. It will really bring out the true colors and skin tones. Really an exceptional picture.

Loving the Master series. Words can’t explain how good this tv is. My wife is tired of hearing me talk about how great it is. No wonder it was crowned “King of Tv” at the 15th annual Tv shootout. It sounds so good I don’t even think i will use my $800 Sony sound bar. It will even be better when it gets Apple Tv app, air play 2 and HomeKit via a software update later this year. If you want the best tv in the world Buy this. It’s worth every penny for such a great picture.

Sony A9G OLED simply amazing 2019 king of TVs. The colors are really good the blacks are rich and the whites are bold. I haven’t had Sony TVs in over 10 years and I feel like I’ve been missing out. I originally went to buy another Samsung Q9 in the same size, but I happen to see the Sony on display. As soon as a saw it I had to have it. It’s worth the price when you take it home and set it up you’ll see why. If you can get it on sale like it is now even better.

Have been looking at this TV for months and months... and months ! Finally decided to take the plunge... WELL worth it. Picture is AMAZING. Had 4K Direct TV hooked up and purchased all the other bells and whistles (4K DVD, 4K Receiver, high end cables) and now just sit back and enjoy. It is a bit pricey compared to the other TVs in the "same" category, but so far I am VERY happy with my decision to purchase. Took some coaxing of my wife, but now she can watch all the football and baseball she wants !

This television is awesome! The picture quality is so clear and crisp. We use a sound bar for sound, but it sounded okay on the TV itself. The setup was really easy to do and we use Dish for a TV provider and also have Netflix and other pay services and using the menu to set everything up was easy as well. Love how you can switch easily from Netflix, to Dish, to HBO max etc. Very impressed with the TV and would highly recommend to anyone and would buy again!

I was a Sony fan for years and am so glad to see them back on top with this fabulous TV. All the critical praise is well founded, from my personal experiences so far. I'm still making small tweaks here and there but right out of the box, the picture is stunning. The unit itself is quite a looker, as well - sleek, elegant and upscale. And let's talk about the audio. Without question, this has the absolute BEST audio I've ever heard from a TVs speakers. The bass boosters in back help round out a really remarkable sound system that uses actuators behind the screen to create a full and balance sound. Blown away. And the remote. This little gem is intuitive and well designed. It paired up with my cable box in about 5 seconds and works my Blu-Ray and Apple TV 4K through the HDMI eARC. Is this TV expensive? Yes, there are cheaper competitors. But this baby is worth every penny.

Fantastic TV. Watching programs in 4K is absolutely stunning. The feel and comfort of the remote is great with the control buttons easily accessible. All the Smart TV applications work really well. Upgrades the picture quality of HD programs as well, largely due to how vibrant the picture quality is as a result of the OLED feature. Great TV. Sony has always stood out over the years with the quality of their products.

I did a fair amount of homework before buying this TV. I read reviews, compared stats, etc. - It's an expensive investment and I wanted ro be sure paying for the master class OLED would be worth it. I was not dissatisfied! In fact, my whole family had been astounded at the clarity and precision of the picture. We watch TV in high-def DirecTV, which is beautiful on it's own, but watching Netflix and AmazonPrime on 4K HD is even more mind boggling. When the tech first turned the TV on we watched Iron Chef America and you could clearly see the wrapping on the food, sweat, hair follicles, etc. My jaw dropped. It's like you are standing right there, watching what is happening- the picture gives you what your eye would see in person. Watching movies where animation/CGI is integrated can be a bit odd - you can tell it's CGI. Hollywood is going to have to step up their game if this tech becomes standard. That being said, it's still awesome!

Amazing deep levels of black that makes color just pop from the screen!!! Android based OS works great allowing for more online streaming sources. The built in screen sound is as quality as any center channel I’ve heard in my 7.2 home theater set up. My only knock is that as thins the s teen is, this is a hefty TV. This is my 2nd model I’ve added to my house. Amazing open box price that has worked flawlessly.

This Sony OLED - A9G MASTER Series - 2160p - Smart - 4K UHD with HDR an outstanding 65 inch television. The picture is as good and in some ways better than my 12 year old Panasonic 50 inch plasma screen TV. It is easy to operate and weighs less than half the plasma. The huge drawback is the $3800 cost and the sales tax of $323 I had to pay to Marxiufornia for a total of $4123

As you know, Sony has the best TV in town. Upgrading from LED to OLED makes it even better. Even without 4K programs, the difference is noticeable. Google is built into the TV. That means that you can tell the TV to turn on and turn off without using the remote. Speaking of the remote, there is a DVR button that does not turn on your DVR. The remote works the DVR though. I worked with Sony to try to program the remote (that came with the TV) and they said that the DVR button is not intended to work the remote, turn it on, or turn it off. Why is there taking up real estate on the remote? Also, you cannot change what appears when clicking on the colored buttons. Instead of turning on (Sony pre-programmed) items, it opens settings in the DVR. We should be able to program the remote. I now need 2 to remotes. One to work my TV and one to turn off and on and off my DVR. This is disappointing. Overall, the TV quality (and sound which I had not previously address) - amazing. The remote leaves a lot to be desired.

I don't have external sound yet since I'm still deciding what will work for my room, but the internal speakers seem to not give what I would call even sound for things that are in surround sound. It could be I don't have the correct setting, but after playing with it, I'm still not satisfied. The picture OTOH is astonishing. Some of the YouTubers I watch do great video, and it floors me how good it is on this TV. It's equal to my iMac Pro, but bigger! The controls on the remote are taking some time to get used to. The fact that it is not lighted is a problem in a dark room. Finally, of course, I have not even looked at the manual, so my review may be harsh.

This is hands down, THE most incredible picture I have ever seen on a TV. Good audio too, even without the sound bar. It is the thinest and lowest profile available which for us was perfect considering the built in cabinet space it had to fit in. OLED is incredible - no motion blur - BLACK blacks - incredible color, and a great OS that will not be obsolete over time like samsung TVs

I bought this for a room I made into a theater room. What I truly appreciate about this TV is the low profile against the wall. I did buy the low profile bracket made for the TV, that too was a good purchase. The apps work great, no connectivity issues, sound is great. Good buy, and great advise from the Best Buy sales person in Mankato that pointed me in this direction.

This TV replaced our early model Bravia 46" model. At 65 " I worried about viewing quality from 11 plus feet but it is just amazing. It is so thin that it make me wonder how it can actually work. Brightness and display speed is also awesome. THis like most or all TV's of this generation could not hook up to my Onkya 100 Watt Amp so I was forced to buy a receiver. I went with the Pioneer Elite since the tech specs, customer ratings and overall value was the best at the time IMO. The only difficulty I had and have is both the Sony and Pioneer Elite are smart and want to be the center of your entertainment universe. I just wish I had some old fashioned knobs and switches instead of going through menu's on both systems.

The picture detail, color (deep blacks, vivid and natural colors), and smooth motion in fast-paced scenes make watching it a delight. I truly think this is the best of the 65" TVs. Price has dropped since l first saw it and added it to my wish list. It is one of the more expensive, but you get what you pay for in this one.

I was very concerned about spending this amount of money for a new TV. But after having it for almost a month, I can honestly say it was worth it. Picture quality is amazing. Setup was a breeze. Sound quality is average, so I might invest in a sound bar. I expect this Sony Bravia to last as long as my last one, which was a long time, and still going strong.
