Restart the TV with the supplied remote control: Press and hold the POWER button until Power off appears on the screen or Press and hold the POWER button until a menu appears → select Restart.
Also, you can configure various settings related to the TV’s sound such as sound quality and sound mode. We saw this set in the store and we were impressed. Got it home and watching television was like going to the movies. The 65 inch size is noticeably bigger we didn’t realize that in the store but once it was set up at home it has a commanding presence. The definitions so clear we were able to go back and rewatch old movies and the picture clarity was astonishing compared to our old 55 inch flatscreen. The smart TV features adds a whole additional level to watching tv with our WiFi. I guess we had never realized how seamless integration of the internet into television had gotten. The remote is definitely impressive on its own right like all Sony remotes you can control your Sony blue ray disc player. The voice command feature is easy to use and works very well. Even the sound is a step up from our old TV. Since this was last year’s model the price was fantastic. We really are pleased with our decision to buy this set . the value of what you get with this tv plus the Sony quality and the price savings made this an easy choice with no buyer’s remorse. We would recommend this TV to anyone.

You cannot go wrong with the Sony X80J

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent weeks analyzing TV specifications and rating (rtings.com), looking at demo models, and finally decided this was the TV I wanted to buy. I love this television. The color accurate picture is beautiful. Viewing angles are fantastic (IPS display), The new Google TV interface is so easy to use (especially if you subscribe to YouTubeTV). HDR content is vivid and accurate, as opposed to washed out or inaccurate, like with most budget televisions. The only issue I had with this TV was hooking up my Samsung soundbar via ARC. I had to upgrade my HDMI cable to a 2.1 certified cable in order to get the TV to recognize the ARC connection, even though it is not using eARC on the soundbar. Since upgrading the cable, it all works flawlessly. I am able to manage my CEC connected devices with the TV remote(s) (both the included Bluetooth remote and older style Sony IR remotes). I just can't find anything about this television that I don't like. Spend the extra money, and buy the reputation and support of the Sony Bravia product line.

We would recommend this television to our friends and family. It’s user friendly. We are still getting use to the extras you can get, like Netflix, Hulu and many others. The guys that mounted and connected the television were very helpful and courteous. They made sure everything was done to our liking. It’s nice to have people that helpful. They showed us how to work the television from cable to the other type of channels. Thanks again fir being so helpful.

A Sony cant be beat!

The colors in 4k is stunning! Pictures are crisp. Google tv menu is speedy. Really enjoy the latest version. I really love how the tv will control other devices such as our channel master DVR and playstation. All your devices with one remote. Very fast and easy! And it supports the newest 4k over the air antenna signal. Very happy customer.

Happy with my new Sony

Obviously this was a lot cheaper, so since its a TV for my man cave I decided to go with it. I couldn't be happier with my decision. First good thing to say was removing the TV from the box couldn't have been easier, cut the two plastic straps supporting the box and you literally just lift the box off the tv. The biggest part of assembly was literally snapping the two stand supports into place--no screws or anything, slide the stand post in the holes and they snap in and lock. Done! Put the batteries in the remote--again not rocket science even for me--and turn it on. There's a simple walk through to set the tv up and your good to go. Picture wise--amazing! looks great. I am really happy I went with this, I'm not sure my untrained eye could even tell the difference between this and the OLED. Picture is shape, very detailed, great color, love it. I also love the 4 HDMI inputs, I finally have a set that I can plug in my ps4, xbox, blu ray and cable. Its a great tv and I'm very happy for the price I paid. I'm very confident in Sonys quality so I'm sure it will be around for a long time.

After my two to three year old Samsung TV died and a family member's five year old LG TV died, I decided to try a Sony TV based off Consumer Reports' rankings of TV reliability. They had ranked Sony as the most reliable TV manufacturer at the time of purchase. Although this is an entry-level TV, it has all the features I wanted and needed. The picture looks great. The menus are fairly easy to use. Google TV is easy to navigate and has similar similar apps to Roku/AppleTV. However, the storage space is limited in comparison to some external media streaming devices. Since purchase, I found that the TV integrates well with other Sony products such as their AV Receivers. The remote is easy to use and the location of the buttons are intuitive. The speakers, like on most TVs anymore, are poor (but slightly better than others that I've heard). I would recommend getting a sound bar or a home theater system for any new TV. If you do not need the latest features and are looking for a value, this TV seems to be it. I would recommend it.

The most important things for me is a vibrant clear picture and voice This is my third Sony tv. The first one I sold during a move. Second one I still own and is 4 years old, works perfectly. This tv was so easy to set up, walks you through it so simple. Just remember to have your WiFi password ready. You can choose google tv or your regular tv. I changed the color settings to make the color really pop and it does. No sound bar needed. The volume on this is better than any tv I’ve ever owned. I was shocked how wonderful it is watching a musical. My tv is across the room and still feels so close with such great clarity. If your looking to not spend a fortune on a Sony tv this is an outstanding choice. Best Buy delivery was a 5 star!! Great updates and professional service

The picture is great. Our last TV was a 65" and so is this one. Side by side this TV is a definite upgrade. The sound system is great and the Smart TV process is very responsive to our wireless internet connection. The TV connected to my phone and the voice recognition was simple to set up. For the cost of this product I would recommend this to anyone.
