Customers are saying

Customers are delighted by the exceptional picture quality, vibrant colors, and easy setup of the 65" Class X900F Series LED 4K UHD Smart Android TV. They appreciate its great value for the price and find it particularly suitable for gaming. While some users have concerns about the remote control's functionality and the TV's speakers, these drawbacks do not overshadow the overall positive customer experience.

    Stunning

Head to head we were considering LG (I forget the model), Samsung Q6 and NU8100, and this Sony. The blacks rival the LG and the color rivals Samsung. This set is the best of both worlds. You get the stunning color depth without compromising perfect black. The refresh rate puts the other sets to shame. If you like gaming or watching sports events, this Sony cannot be beat. Even the built in sound is pretty good for back firing speakers. The tv is a little thicker than the competitor's, but still very thin. The feet can be installed for either a more narrow or wider footprint without comprising stability. The feet have a cable management feature built in that allows you to route cords from view. However, this cord management feature is not as good as Samsung or helpful if you are wall mounting. The only down side I see to design is the use of plastics. The bezel is a beautiful mitered brushed aluminum, but the entire back of the tv is plastic. Personally I dont see an issue with this, some may in an angled wall mounted application. The back is clean and simple, but plastic. Setup was easy. "Hey google set up my tv." It identified the Bravia, and transfered usernames/passwords, network settings etc. after confirming a generated pin. I would buy this unit again in a heartbeat.

Best TV at this price point

This tv is absolutely amazing. Its bright, colorful, and accurate. Blacks are black and whites pop. Motion is alittle lacking but not terrible. It does take some time to find the right setting that work for multiple uses and inputs but once you get it all set this tv will not let you down. It's a bit higher in price than tha comparable LG and Samsung but well worth. I bought a LG SK9000 first and returned it in a week for this Sony. Not even close. I highly recommend this tv if you want to stay around the $1500 range. If your goal is to stay around $1000 I think your going to have to make some sacraficed that you may not be happy with. So do yourself a favor and increase your budget alittle so you can grab a tv that you will look forward to watching for the next 5 or 6 years or more.

    This TV is Amazing

The Sony X900F is an amazing TV! I have never owned a TV like it. Bought the TV on a pre black Friday sale. The picture is life like, the sound is excellent and works great with the Xbox one. I did not care enough about the Xbox series X to pay more for the 900H. The 65 inch tv works well in our family room. The 4K and HDR effects create a stunning visual that is not too bright but...life like. The only drawback is that because it came out in 2018, you need to use the blaster connection to get it to be a universal remote that works with your cable box. The blaster is two little circle things that have to be placed in front of your Tv's STB. 2020 TVs have this capability build in. However, this is a small inconvenience for an amazing TV at a reasonable price.

8/10 - Great for mixed Use

The Sony X900F is a great TV for a range of usages. High contrast ratio and local dimming results in great dark scene performance for watching movies in a dark room. Input lag is low, especially at 4k, and motion handling is excellent which is great for gaming. The TV can produce bright, saturated highlights for HDR. Unfortunately, the image degrades when viewed at an angle.

This Sony 65" X900F is fantastic! I just returned a Vizio Quantum 65" back to that membership store (C@#tco). I'm glad they have a 90 day return policy. I bought the Quantum based on tv review websites and what other consumers said about it. I think we can all agree that the picture on the Vizio is super close to OLED. My problem were the apps on the tv specifically VUDU and Netflix. VUDU kept cutting out. Netflix did the same thing. I kept losing wi-fi connectivity. I have an ASUS AC3100 router that can more than handle multiple devices! Once I replaced it with the Sony...Viola! No more streaming issues. Yes, I have read that many do not like that the OS is Android. The menus are little cumbersome but nothing I can't deal with. I'm sure Sony can make some minor adjustments in upcoming firmware. I can honestly say that the picture on this Sony is on par with my outgoing Vizio. It's not nearly as bright, but my TV is not in an overly bright room. The darks are amazing as well as the contrast. HDR content looks great as well! Once you get used to the remote, I think that it's pretty well laid out overall. It's not perfect though. I should have stayed with either Sony or Samsung as my main TV. I wish Panasonic would have stayed in the TV game. I had a 50" plasma that was unrivaled in picture quality. Vizio is getting better but I think they need a few more years in paying attention to details.

This TV is nothing short of amazing!

Before purchasing my TV I did a ton of research. This Sony was my choice primarily because for the price you get so much more than the competition. The picture quality is crazy good, the sound is good without a clunky sound bar. The setup was a breeze and the wireless support is excellent and uses the 5k band on my network. The refresh rate is superior, no matter what I watch this screen has no problem keeping up. The led support isn't side lit like other competitors, it is directly lit which to me makes the colors pop, contrast is fantastic with clear blacks. The bottom line is if you are shopping for a TV in this range do not hesitate. Just buy it you will not be sorry.
