On the fence
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hello, I'd like to start with the fact I am very critical when it comes to viewing, talking returning tv after tv to find the Right one. At the store the quality sold me 110% it was too good to be true. It wasn't until I had about a couple hours of viewing time and an hour of game time to notice. The picture is Gorgeous, until it moves. The colors really pop with a sony! Until they get a watercolor look in certain tones. Gaming is unbelievable in 4k. Once again, until you move. Everything bordering the characters model or the current held item in POV becomes static and is just down right horrible to look at for the price.. Last but not least. I had no sound coming from the tv at one point for about an hour. It than took me unplugging it to fix the problem. (Possibly Defective out of box) New. I could not recommend this TV. You can take a tiny quality sacrifice for literally a quarter of the price with any other 4k tv.

Deep blacks and great motion handling
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The x900h is a high quality panel. The image quality is fantastic with deep blacks and very smooth motion. Supporting ARC and HDMI 2.1 is a plus. People wanting the tv only for hdmi 2.1 should consider the price to performance only because you will not be getting 4K 120 fps out of any triple A title. You will be lucky to get 60. Buy for the other features and quality not, HDMI 2.1.

Buyer Beware Sony customer service and "Jail bars"
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I want to start by saying I have gone through 2 of these units and Best Buy was great with their return process. SONY unfortunately was not with their customer support. This TV could be a great set if you get one that isn't defective. Both units I have received suffer from what other reviewers have referred to as a "jail bar" effect. Basically when watching sports or any content that features fast pace panning or light colored backgrounds or sky scenes there are very noticeable and distracting vertical lines across the screen. I ended up keeping the second set because it was an improvement over the first but the issue is still quite annoying. With the second set I decided to reach out to Sony support for a replacement and after initially telling me it qualified for a replacement, the engineer changed his mind and said that the vertical bars were normal and that I had unrealistic expectations for LCD technology. Not sure how expecting a $1000 + TV to not have this "jail bar" effect is unrealistic but those were the words that the Sony Concierge read off to me from her system. I was quite surprised by this as I have seen other people getting replacements by Sony for the same exact issue. The Sony Concierge basically told me I am stuck with this obviously defective TV and I had no other recourse but to see if Best Buy would replace the tv again. Other then the "jail bar" issue the TV's software has been plagued with bugs. The first I experienced, was what others have referred to as the "motionflow bug" where the option for the motionflow "basically soap opera effect" would turn on every time the tv was turned on, completely ignoring that you had turned that option to off. This bug persisted for over a month. The recent firmware update managed to fix this bug but created another bug where the tv constantly reboots itself when turned off so that you will constantly hear the tv going through its reboot cycle and causing the tv to take about a min to turn on when ever you attempt to turn it on. Searching different forums about this bug I found that many others were complaining about multiple issues stemming from the last update, but I so far have only experienced the tv constantly rebooting and still waiting for a fix for that. Ultimately this could be a great tv if you get a good screen rather then one with the "jail bars" effect, and if you are willing to deal with very buggy and untested software updates. The colors are amazing and the dolby vision content looks great. The Native apps are quick and responsive. Had I got a unit without the "jail bars" and had Sony support done the right thing with TV rather then saying there was nothing wrong with the TV and that I had unrealistic expectations, I would have given the TV 5 stars as the picture is that good.

Great picture & motion
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Since I’ve purchased this tv I’ve had no issues. Coming from a budget 6 series Samsung 4K this is a huge upgrade. The blacks and colors look great and I like the design of the Tv. The built in apps work great and the OS is fast and smooth compared to my xfinity cable box. I wanted 2.1 hdmi for the upcoming ps5 and at this price for the quality of Sony you can’t beat it.

Great! - 4K HDR Dolby Atmos
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great image, amazing contrast for a non-OLED, very responsive/fast operating system, good price, easy to set up. The only thing is that like most of the tvs nowadays you can’t rely on the built in speakers, you’ll need at least a soundbar to help in that regard, just make sure it can pass through Dolby Atmos because that way you can get the max out what the tv can do.

My first 4K TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So... This review may be a bit unfair as I upgraded from an old 50inch, 11 year old, plasma TV. So anything I upgraded to would have been night and day. Lol. first I recommend having someone to unbox with. I did it alone, but having a partner to help put the legs on would have saved some stress on my part. Initial impression after unboxing:. Wow. This TV looks sleek. Very clean. The legs are about 13.5 inches long and seem to fit just right on my stand. Phew. Initial set up:. Set up was pretty forward and easy. I do recommend doing some research on what you decide to enable. I did not want to be bombarded with advertisements, so I only agreed to and enabled the required stuff. Optional things I left off. Use:. WOW. Watching Mando in 4K blows my mind. Some action scenes (whent things are moving r ally fast). I notice a tiny bit of distortion, but, nothing that makes me regret getting this TV at the price I paid for it. Switching between Game Mode and Cinema is pretty simple. And PS5 games look awesome in it. The only gripe I have is the sound. I'm looking into getting a sound bar now, but these speakers sound very tunnel like and are just lame. Sound issues seem to be a common complaint when getting some of these newer TVs when staying on the lower end of the price spectrum. All and all, I'm satisfied so far.

Sony makes the most reliable TVs
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony makes excellent TVs. That should be enough to sum it up. I got this to replace a 2016 Samsung KS8000 55" TV which had it's PSU died. Samsung TVs have excellent picture quality, but I've yet to have one last more then 3 years. Come to Sony, longevity has never been an issue. All of my old Sony TVs are still working 10 years later (and in the 3rd family member's house). As for the x900 series TVs, they are excellent. I purchased the 75" x900F two years ago and it's been solid. The picture quality is phenomenal and I have had zero issues. The only downside to that TV has been the Android TV. They keep updating it and it's been slowing down after each update. 2 years later, when I needed to replace my home theater's TV I immediately short listed the x900H and the Sony OLED. Personally I value the extremely bright HDR high lights of the LED TVs over the blacks on the OLED. So when this TV went on sale I grabbed to for a steal. Compared to my older 75" 900F (from 2018) this TV has a more polished interface, no lag on the android TV, and improved blacks. Not to mention it does feel a bit more solid. Overall it's very impressive on just how much it has improved over 2 years and worth every penny.

||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The crispness of images was extraordinary. Richness of colors is also outstanding. Set is very user friendly and intuitive. I set up home theater using my older 5.1 surround sound with use of an optical feed and it did not miss a beat. Great sound. The framing of television screen is minimalistic and has a modern, and clean look. This is one fine television.

Sony x900h gaming 65 inch
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has the best hands down picture quality for a non Oled tv for the value. If you’re also a gamer I would recommend this for your ps5/Xbox x/s as it hits 4K 120 FPS. I personally bought the 65 inch for a living room peace but I would highly recommend 55 inches for your bedroom/gaming room.

||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Before this tv I had the x900e. Sony X900H Series 65” TV is easy on the eyes.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Sony X900H Series 65” TV has a great looking picture, with plenty of brightness and vivid detail. I’m not a gamer so I can’t comment on that aspect of this TV. The TV feels solidly built for being made of plastic. The menu system seems fairly intuitive and responds quickly. I can’t comment on the sound system as I hooked a sound bar as soon as it was unboxed. A couple of negatives though. It seems to be dropping the wifi connection when in sleep/standby mode; power cycling it, by holding down the power button on the remote (at least you don’t have to find/unplug the power cable!), will reconnect the wifi. It might be a firmware issue? I don’t stream a lot (yup, throwback cable subscriber) but it’s annoying. The other issue I have with it is the receiver for the remote signal is in the CENTER of the lower tv frame; my sound bar is just barely tall enough so that it blocks the remote from working. I had to put pads under the TV feet to raise it up a quarter inch; my previous TV had the remote signal receiver in the corner of the tv frame as well as the power light indicator. Overall though, a great TV! It’s a good value when on sale but I don’t think I would pay full retail for it. I do wish it came in a 70” size as the 75” was too large for my stand.

High quality graphics, Ideal for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you’re thinking about getting this tv then you must know that this is among the best for gaming. Based on test results on RTINGS.com, it doesn't have wide viewing angles similar to the Sony X950H or Samsung Q80/Q80T QLED but has impressive qualities still such as a higher contrast ratio, great response time and low input lag for gaming. Even lower input lag than the newer model Sony X950H so you may benefit from it if you are looking for a better gaming experience, plus you get to save a couple hundreds. It has a native refresh rate of 120Hz, and even though it currently doesn't have VRR support, it should be available in a firmware update soon which is good news for those looking forward to use next generation gaming consoles on it. It is likely the update will occur once the consoles are released this month on November. Only downside is the tv stereo could be better but it does a good job despite the lack of a surround sound system. Overall, I am so happy and satisfied I got this google tv. Ideal for gaming, provides high quality graphics, and great smart features like google assistant. Thank you for reading this far.
