TV works well, picture is very clear. Difficult for us to use the Sony with android as we were totally unfamiliar with technology. We have not tried out its internal speakers as we use a sound bar and bluetooth to hearing aids as wife is very hard of hearing. The accompanying Logitech Harmony 65 proved confusing to use but we are becoming familiar with it. Geek Squad did a good job mounting TV and effectively arranging connected devices. Covid19 affected clearly sharing info on how to use android and Harmony 65. That said, clear written material explaining how to use would have been welcome and useful. All personal from Best Buy respectful of Covid19 safety protocols. Nick, the primary Geek Squad was very professional and listened to our requests. Ask again in 2 months as the proof is in aged pudding. Thanks.

Phenomenal TV! Had 2 Panasonic plasmas which as everyone knows had great contrast and black levels. I haven't seen a led tv come close to those 2 pannys till now! Yes this Sony is leagues ahead of the competition regarding contrast, black levels and color gradients. All of which are VERY important to having a great picture. I'm VERY impressed with this tv! Use a antenna? This already has ATSC 3.0 tuner for those upcoming over the air 4K signals, can't wait for that! Couldn't have asked for anything else. This review is for the 65" version. Also updated to the newest firmware and so far no issues with it. If anything I now have 2.1 HDMI compatibility. If you're contemplating this tv just get it and you'll see too and won't be disappointed.

I got this on sale. I was actually looking at the Samsung. The sales associate led me to it and sad it was better quality. This is my second Sony TV in 15 years. The first one didn’t disappoint and so far neither has this. I don’t have an audio bar and I’m not a TV guru though I did research it a lot after it was suggested I buy. The sound quality is perfect for us. The picture is great. We have a window in our TV room and lighting is not a problem. I can see really dark movies well. However the real test will be when I start rebinging GOT (pandemic life)...some super dark scenes in that show my other TV had difficult clearly displaying. I’ll try to check back in and Let you know if there’s any problems but it’s pretty great for the Short time I’ve had it

    Nice Tv, but flawed.

I don’t know about this Tv. Nice but flawed. After a long history with Sony TVs, that started with the “lcd rear projection” TVs that were flat out terrible (all brands, dlp technology included), to the point Sony replaced it. After another few bad sets I finally got the Sony 55hx929 which is still working and outside of its flaws has been nice. It was time to upgrade the upstairs tv (2011 46” Bravia) and I was only considering Sony, or Lg, I’m just not a Samsung fan, but wanted to stay with Sony and my options were limited as I also wanted hdmi 2.1. I pulled the trigger on the 65x900h. Problems I’m having with the 900h 1080p is worse on the x900 than both my 2011 Sony Bravia TVs Biggest concern - Horizontal color banding, does this tv not smooth out for color gradient? Is this a defect, or simply how this TVs looks? Processor? Bad panel? Combination? Drives me crazy. Moving objects have an outline of blur as do still objects with stuff moving around them, also drives me crazy Main reason I bought the x900h over other sets was for hdmi 2.1, which is not available on my set (12/5/20). I know the update was super buggy, but I don’t have hdmi 2.1 and that’s the reason I bought this set. Blooming (to be expected on FALD sets) but could’ve definitely used more dimming zones Faint vertical jail bars cause by the backlight (seems like a common problem with FALD) False contouring or judder, weak processor? I don’t know but something seems off Cant log into some apps even with the correct passwords. Dirty screen effect although minor does have it My set came with finger prints on the screen, wonder if this was a returned unit that was resold or just manufactured dirty. Don’t get me wrong the tv can produce nice 4K, Bright nice color, decent blacks, and is sleek I really like the stand as well. Most people will enjoy this set. The tv is attractive but seems thick, In comparison my 2011 hx929 is about 1” thinner with the same FALD lighting, after 9 years the TVs have gotten thicker with less dimming zones. I bought a tv mount but haven’t hung it yet as I’m unsure if I should keep this tv, return it, or just exchange for the same set. Maybe my 2011 Sony TVs are that nice, or the x900h is underwhelming to me.

Bought this because of the 120hz refresh rate for ps5 and it looks great with games like COD. I gave it 4 stars because it’s not as Alexa friendly as I’d like it and because it’s an Android tv. Beautiful picture and colors.

Got the 65 inch on sale for $1000. There are a lot of cheaper options out there, but after messing around with the lower end models I decided I needed the user interface to be quick. I love the android tv experience. I use vlc on the tv to play media from my HDD attached to my router. I can even pull up a networked stored movie on my phone and cast it to the tv(great for when the kids want to be up super early but mom and dad do not). Picture is great, but honestly I'm not a huge picture critic. If you want a great user experience and flexibility with how you access your media this tv will not disappoint. Also works great with google assistant. I have the tv connected to the internet via ethernet, I cannot speak to the Wi-Fi capability.

This tv ended up being a purchase for my PS5 and Xbox Series X. The tv looks great and is very easy to use. I got in for a great deal and glad I walked in when I did. The tv now supports HDMI 2.1 and allows the systems to perform at its best. I went from a regular flatscreen TV to a 4K smart tv, so this one stands out. My only gripe with it is that the volume sometimes doesn’t work and you have to shut down the TV and turn it back on. I’ve also had the internet disconnect from it a few times but hasn’t happened in a few weeks. I’m hoping a new patch will fix these issues. Overall, it wasn’t bad enough for me to dock a star from the review as I could quickly turn the tv off and back on and as I’m sure this will be fixed by Sony.

It's a good tv, although I had to send it back today due to lack of follow through with their promise of vrr. Also there's an issue with the audio when connected to a sound bar, it turns off and the only way to fix it is by restarting the tv by holding down the power button on the remote. It's a good tv other than what's mentioned above but I can't justify paying for features that they aren't going to deliver on. If you're a gamer and wanting this for tv for that purpose I can't recommend it, I'm swapping it out for the hisense h9g and waiting a couple of years for the hdmi 2.1 kinks to get ironed out. Thanks best buy for being so gracious about the return. This is the 2nd hdmi 2.1 tv I have had to exchange. The first was the vizio quantum p, that tv was a major disappointment!

      Hi Davehasink,

Thank you for choosing and purchasing our Sony X900H Ultra HD Smart TV.

While we are glad to hear that the TV is good, we regret that it has to be returned. This is definitely not the news we'd like to hear from you and we apologize if the TV failed to meet your expectations. We appreciate all of your feedback as it helps improve the product.

Last week, a U.S. Sony Support article was updated and incorrectly removed reference to future support for VRR and ALLM for the X900H series.

Please note that this was an error, and the plan to support these features is unchanged from the previous communication wherein we state that the X900H will support VRR and ALLM via a future firmware update. The article containing the erroneous information on Sony Support has been updated with the correct information: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/televisions-projectors/articles/00246472

Our apologies for any confusion this may have caused! Please let us know if you have any questions.

      Thank you,

The picture quality is fantastic and the set is super sleek with its feet attached. Though the backlight is a little dimmer than I’m used to on Samsung TVs, it helps with the saturation of the black tones. However, the Android TV system leaves a lot to be desired. Though it’s fast, and the voice control is nice, it’s very buggy. I’ve had to hard reset the TV twice and soft reset (via the settings menu) a few more times as well due to audio issues and picture stuttering. My other complaint is that the remote has no backlight. You have to just guess where the important buttons are in dimly-lit rooms…not my favorite. Overall a good TV for the money when it was on sale but not sure it is the best option in its price bracket when it’s not.

Great picture but have had to unplug and reset the remote 3 times in first month. This tv to me is better than the 950H as the picture isn’t that much better and the legs on the 950h are terrible. Why Sony changed the legs for the 950H is beyond me, the tv won’t sit right on them and the TV leans back. The leg as of the 900H are crisp and clean looking without the part that ru a Ali g the bottom of the tv. The remote on 900H is near with a silver face and the 950 is cheap all black plastic. Overall 900H is better buy and tv overall than the 950H. I have bought both of these TVs, both 65inch in January 2021.

We bought this set on-line at a Black Friday price, picked it up at a local Best Buy store, and very carefully transported it home with the TV lying flat in the back of a Grand Cherokee. Setup was easy, and the panel appears to be perfect -- no stuck or dead pixels that have been noticed yet. The "Custom" preset appears to have very good color rendition -- no additional calibration needed (at least for me). We added a Sonos Beam sound bar connected via HDMI to get somewhat better sound. The built-in apps work well for streaming a wide variety of content.

Great tv for a formal living space. Of course not as great as my oleds but those are placed in more dedicated movie viewing places. Bright enough for daytime viewing and of course Sony’s great image processing

I would recommend this to a friend
