On day one and continuing every couple of days on average, this television shuts off in the middle of a program and then restarts, starting with the Sony logo and startup graphics. A few times, when we turned it on, the picture came on without sound and we had to turn it off and on again or even unplug it and plug in again to get the sound back. We're hoping the defect is unique to this unit and exchanging it will resolve the problem. Otherwise, we're very happy with it. I'd also like to note that this was sold to us as a new tv but the tabs that lock the sections of the box together had been removed and the box was held together with a packing strap, suggesting that it had been previously opened.

All the way back to the 175 pound monster tube TV's before the flat panels became more available and more reasonably priced. The XBR series is definitely a step above many other brands. I also like how it integrates with my other Sony components. Un-packing and Set up was very easy even for a 65" model. The online tutorials available from Sony really helped with set up. Picture quality is very good and room screen reflections are not an issue. I was surprised the remote does not have a back light. Seems in this price range that should be standard.

The more I researched this TV, the more it outgunned the equivalent Samsung on paper. It's not the highest end 4K TV but it's certainly nowhere near the end of the list of choices. Personally, the deal breaker for me was the connectivity at the back, the VRR and the Blacks. You can watch TV without issues or major reflections with floor to ceiling windows. The blacks are deep and the picture is crisp. Android TV is extremely versatile and navigating it feels like navigating a tablet or smartphone. Owning 3 other Samsung TVs, the navigation of the menu is sluggish by comparison. This TV is extremely worth it when on sale!

Great 65" Gaming and Movie TV

Good, deep blacks, great color, Android TV is very useful. I have a 2017 Sony TV as well and the Android TV interface in this 2020 model has come a long way as it's quite a bit snappier and also includes Apple TV now. One minor issue is the Wi-Fi connection does not always pick up automatically and I have to manually connect it but as I was able to hard wire this TV to my network, this is no longer an issue so I can't speak to it any further than this. Audio is decent but I use a 5.1 system with this so I can't speak to the built in speaker. A bit pricey (although I got it on sale) but it's a Sony TV so that's expected and the quality is worth it.

As of yesterday this TV is officially PS5 & Xbox Series X ready! I bought this TV specifically for gaming & streaming purposes & I must say at this price point NO OTHER TV CAN COME CLOSE! I've been playing Call of Duty MW, Ghost of Tsushima, Last of Us 2 & Final Fantasy 7 remake & every single one looks AMAZING! I upgraded from a previous Sony XBR 940e which was their flagship model at the time, not only is this set lighter it also looks sleeker & performs better. Watching 4k content on Disney+ & Apple TV is a treat as well automatically detects Dolby Atmos the darks are deep & the colors are vibrant, next gen gaming is almost here & this TV will be able to get you there!

The picture ... the minute everyone comes in my house, they remark on how good it looks. And if anyone gets their hands on the remote, they fall in love with the Sony interface. When Sony gets it right, they really do. My bestie now wants the same tv. If I had a complaint, it would be that you need really good wifi. The minute the signal goes weak, this tv struggles a bit to reconnect. I've had to unplug it and then plug it back in to catch the signal again. Honestly though, it's a minor complaint because the look and experience of using this tv makes it worth any complaints. And I suppose we can all use an excuse to stand up from time to time and walk to an outlet.

I was originally going to buy a Samsung but when I saw the X900H on display and the price of it I had to pull the trigger. Picture quality is great and the smart features are easy to use. My only cons with the TV is that on some apps I have to turn the volume up higher to hear it. So I would recommend looking into a sound bar depending on how big the room is you plan on putting it in. Also every once an a while an app just doesn't feel like loading. For me it's been HBO MAX. So sometimes I would have to unplug the TV and then plug it back in and it works. Not a huge deal but just a pain every once and a while when it happens. Overall very happy with the X900H.

Outstanding Performance

I went from a Samsung 1080p 120hz 50" TV gaming on the base PS4 for years. Upgrading to this 65" and having my buddy let me borrow his PS4 Pro has been revolutionary. The color accuracy is insane, the HDR content is fantastic, and the native apps running Dolby Vision is incredibly impressive. The only issue right now is that the current firmware patch has the the TV occasionally restarting itself, however, this has never happened to me in mid-content and it seems to be related to HDMI 4. It looks like Sony is aware and they are working on a fix in an upcoming firmware patch. Now to just get my hands on a PS5!

Once packed setup was a breeze and had no issues. The screen has vibrant colors and I don't feel like I'm missing out not buying a QLED for the extra money I saved. The TV does not need a room. I downloaded the Hulu app and it works great. It also supports YouTube TV, and others including HBO Max. I dont think the speakers are great and have already hooked up a sound bar. The remote is also not that good. It only has a Netflix button on it so have to go into apps to select Hulu although sometimes it remembers to go there. I am.sure you can add the Hulu to the green button but haven't load that up. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase.

Otherwise it’s been fine. Color is good, HDMI connects to video games are fine. Etc etc.

Regardless, I was immediately dazzled by the interface, speed, functionality, ability to customize menus and the variety of mode options. The color and sparkle of images is outstanding for $969 (caught on sale). Some people have complained about the sound and its lack of full boom depth. I will just say it feels solid for a thin bezel TV, but I will likely purchase a sound bar to really enhance the full viewing experience since I like to feel the laser fire of starships duking it out in space battles or hearing Star Lord's rocket boots crashing him across the landscape.
