Stunning TV & still getting VRR & ALLM support!!

I upgraded from a 2007 Panasonic Plasma & man what a difference. Just got a PS5 from BB & it’s amazing with this TV. Sony is bringing VRR & ALLM to this TV, the people commenting jumped the gun by returning their TV’s. Remember kids, don’t trust everything you read in the internet. Lol Don’t hesitate if you are needing a new TV for your PS5/XBox. The 4k 120 gaming on the PS5 is stunning. Also, the PS5 combo with this TV is already doing a VRR type thing according to some Sony insiders. Cool Also watched a bunch of movies on this using my Samsung 4k UHD Blu-ray player and can’t wait to see more content. Also having no audio issues as some others have stated, I’m using a Vizio 5.1 sound bar & it all works flawlessly.

It was easy to setup and the picture is literally brilliant. The picture seems to be choppy on occasion but I am pretty sure it is my WiFi connection and internet speed - working on an upgrade .

Best Value 4K for the PS5

With the recent firmware upgrade it's PS5 ready, only missing ALLM and VRR which the PS5 does not yet support. After the firmware upgrade the panel sports two 4k120 HDMI 2.1 ports (1 eARC). I paired this with a STR-DN1080 as a stopgap solution until a proper Sony HDMI 2.1 AV reciever is released. Word of caution; eARC is currently buggy and appears cause random loss of signal between an external AV system after 30 minutes or so. It happens more so when using any built in streaming applications. Does not seem to affect a directly connected PS5.

Impressive TV!

My brother needed a new TV so I suggested this one. After playing with it for an evening I was sold! They recently released the much anticipated update that added Apple TV support (it already had Airplay 2 support, but now I no longer need an Apple TV to play any movies in my iTunes collection or watch Apple TV+). It also added 120Hz Variable Refresh Rate which I have yet to use, but will be a great feature for the new PS5 and Xbox Series X. There are two minor issues which are the overall brightness and reflections, however you have to spend significantly more to find TVs that come with all these features and resolves those two issues.

Great picture and sound is good enough. The only downside is that the media player on the tv seems to be restrictive or not working as good compared to the one on my samsung.

Works great except for wireless connectivity issue

I like everything about it except for 1 annoying issue - the TV loses connection to my wireless network after power off. I have to hit re-connect and it connects fine. I opened a ticket with Sony and they helped me do a factory reset - both software and hardware and that did not help me. I have changed my wireless router and even bought an extended but it has not made any difference. I have provided all the info to them and awaiting response. I am hoping its an issue with this particular set I bought or some setting on my wireless router or TV and can be fixed easily. I always bought Sony TVs in the past and I have a lot of respect for their engineering and innovation.
