Only had it hook up for a week now but wow am I impressed. Especially for the sales price. This is a top notch tv for being in the middle range on price. The 4k is amazing on this TV and even my girlfriend who doesnt have great eyes noticed a big difference from our old Samsung. The blacks on this TV are the most amazing that I have ever seen. Never thought I would own a TV like this. Overall highly impressed.

Great tv awful software

Owned for 3 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.So basically after a software update after the purchase, the HDMI inputs will not recognize my direct tv box... I have to manually go to the tv box and switch through the picture resolutions to get the hdmi to recognize the input and then the tv works with the cable. This is quite annoying. I even had a Directv technician come by 1st and switch out the box to make sure it wasn’t the tv service. Switched out cables obviously to no avail as well. Geek squad did their job when here and contacted Sony... They said I just have to wait for another update and it has been like this for over a month... Great tv awful software is all I can say for now. I will lower it to one star if this is not resolved by Sony very soon. Then I will consider it junk and look at my Geeksquad plan to take more action. Best Buy has been great but the product leaves a lot more to be desired based on my experience.

We are sorry that your TV doesn't recognize your DirecTV box after performing the software update. This is definitely not the viewing experience we'd like you to have. We heard you and we’d love to take this opportunity to help you troubleshoot the problem and turn this into a better experience.
Firmware update version v6.0414 is now available to resolve this issue.
• The automatic update is released on a staggered schedule so it may take a week or so before it is sent to your TV.
• Reference: https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/televisions-projectors-lcd-tvs-android-/xbr-65x900h/downloads
Note: After the firmware is updated, change the RS232C control setting back to the original setting if it was previously set to Via serial port.

B. Select Settings → Remotes & Accessories.
