||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waited until this model got below $1K and pounced on it at $970. Outstanding picture, try a Dolby Vision movie on Netfix and be awed. Upscales 1080 HD to 4K and it is impressive, real good job of upscaling. Live 1080 shows from my cable Tivo box almost look real 4K. No complaints on picture at all. I have an Onyko AVR from 6 years ago and it does not support 4K thru HDMI. So I use the Sony's HDMI inputs and use the Sony HDMI3 ARC for my sound thru the Onyko. Works without issue, gets DD+ sound on most stuff. Also the integration with Bravia Sync and my Onyko and my Tivo work perfectly and was a no brainer to setup. IOW the Sony remote controls the Tivo and AVR power on/off and most other functions thru the Sony remote. A LOT of thought was put into this TV to make it VERY easy to setup and use. I believe anyone could properly setup this tv with other devices, since the Sony step by step hand holding is as good as it gets. Builtin USEFUL help guides are here too. No Doubt - Sony Rules in TVs....

Great TV quality, but false promises from Sony
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV back in October 2020. As a tech-head, I did buy this with the promise from Sony that it will be HDMI 2.1 capable and allow 4K at 120hz. Now to start off, the picture quality I feel is great and the picture is crisp and detailed with a little bit of tweaking that everyone should do when getting a TV out of the box. In the last few months, however, Sony is now having problems delivering HDMI promise, and the latest firmware is causing issues for owners with light dimming and having to do manual resets. Sony really dropped the ball and basically now has said the firmware to allow VRR and ALLM with 4K 120hz won't be available till winter. The one firmware they put out made 4K 120hz very blurry that users complained till a new firmware was issued but it still hasn't fixed the issues. I am past the date to be able to return the TV set but I am upset that Sony did this and because of their delay with updates and firmware that work, I kept the TV with the hopes it would be done. I would love to trade this TV in for one that does HDMI 2.1 like the LG CX or something else. I really loved Sony products, but after this I don't think I will buy anything else from them with the false promises they say to entice customers to buy and then do a retreat to fix the disappointment by their owners.

Solid TV - went with an OLED instead
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Had the TV for about a week and returned it in favor of an LG C9. Didn’t have a single issue with this model but really wanted to go OLED this time around. Great TV for someone who is budget minded by wants all the features of HDMI 2.1. If you’re not concerned about that or have no interest in gaming, might be better off getting the 950H in favor of better PQ, local dimming and HDR.

Sony is quality and longevity!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sony is the best of the best! Our family has purchased one Sony after another. Don’t misinterpret that. These televisions last 20 years. Great durability and fantastic high definition picture quality. Is it the cheapest? No. But worth every penny if you want quality and a long lasting product.

Wow, just wow.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I can to the 900H after I bought a Samsung Q70T, I received that with a bad main board. Would often say that the input lost power and would do the power on prompt. Dealt with Samsung for about 4 weeks to get someone to come fix it, they legit sent me a vampire hunter from Chicago (reverse google search of his phone number). It was a terrible experience, ultimately took 5 months to get the refund that was supposed to take 14-21 business days, but I digress, now you know how we landed on this Tv. Also before the vampire hunter left, who ultimately left the tv repair worse off by manhandling the tv and resulting in dead pixels, he told me “next time buy a Sony, Samsung is shot”. The Sony 900H... picture quality is amazing, plenty of settings to make it work for your room and brightness needs. HDMI 2.1 is supposed to be in there somewhere but waiting on that update. I use it for gaming, movies, sports, and just typical tv watching. I honestly couldn’t be happier, there are Dolby vision modes built in for Dolby vision content. I have a Sonos setup on it, but I did try the tv speakers and they are actually pretty dang impressive. All in all, if you want something that looks as good as a OLED but don’t want to dish out the money, the 900H is for you.

Good price for Sony
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the Sony brand of TV’s and this one continues to impress me. Picture quality is breathtaking and the price of this one with all the features it provides is amazing. Other TVs on the market that offer HDMI 2.1 are a lot higher in price so this is definitely a bargain. Hopefully they will release the firmware update soon for VRR

Great TV if you can catch it on sale
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The image quality on this tv is amazing. Sony really delivers in the color department and if you are planning to get a next gen console it has a lot of cool features like 4k@120fps and ALLM and VRR are supposed to come in a later update. The only con this tv has is that its not as bright as other tvs in this price range so thats why in giving it 4 stars

I’m very pleased with this purchase. Love the fact that it’s future proof with HDMI 2.1. 120hz is buttery smooth. Love its realistic picture. No exaggeration on the colors. Can’t comment on the sound because I have it hooked up to a sound bar.

Don’t Hesitate
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. In all honesty this is my first 4K TV, after having a 2013 Samsung 50inch for the past 7 years. So while that TV treated (and still treats my upstairs bedroom) with years of amazing picture, I gotta say... holy moly. The clarity, deep blacks and vibrant colors are literally eye popping. My friends and family who’ve come over since I made the change absolutely are breathless when I pop on Netflix or Disney 4K. Going back and rewatching movies and shows gives a whole new experience that gives a new level of appreciation to the cinematic experience. But for me, my first love will always be gaming, more specifically the PS4 Pro. The games look and feel ridiculously good. And with the understanding (and Promise) that this will have the firmware update and support for HDMI 2.1 with 4K 120Hz and VRR support (under the eARC?) for the PS5, it’s really a no brainer. If you were/are lucky enough to grab one of these, do yourself a favor and check out some YouTube videos on how to perfect the settings to your liking. But even out of the box, it’s hard to just sit back and marvel at what’s already there.

PS5 Companion Review - This is the Mid-Tier Leader
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So if you are used to Sony TV color science and upconversion, this is another set that absolutely hits the mark for the cost. Especially if you purchased while the Holiday price breaks were in place. Not much to decode there... In terms of next-gen gaming compatibility there are some good things to note. - 120Hz/4K is available, but you can tell it's a first-gen implementation. It works but its not polished. - Turning on the enhanced fps functionality is somewhat cumbersome, not fully automatic - yet. You have to enable it and toggle the consoles on/off this mode if you are playing one of the few games that can achieve 4K/120 - There are only 5 titles at the time of writing this review that can support 4k/120 so there may not be anything you care about to take advantage of the increased performance. - Outside of 4K/120 gaming, this TV offers great HDR and black levels with minimal blooming considering the limited amount of zones. - If you do not want to go OLED, I don't think there is a better overall performance/value option. The TCL / Hisense stuff is ok, but they are not in the same league as Sony.

Simply the best TV I have ever owned
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You can buy much less expensive TVs than this Sony, but I have learned that you need to spend more if you want the best picture. I have a 10 year old Sony Brava that has never failed and has been an awesome performer. That one was also more expensive than others I could have bought also. But - like that previous purchase this Sony X900H is incredible. With almost every TV I have owned I have spent much time making adjustments go try to get the picture just right - right color, right contrast, right blacks, etc. With this Sony I simply cannot do better with adjustments than what this TV came with out of the box. Great color, great contrast, great blacks, really just great everything, I am completely satisfied with this TV and would definitely buy another Sony in the future, if I ever need to. Highly recommended.

Perfect TV for Gaming and Streaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for general streaming of movies/tv, PS5 gaming, and some light PC use for internet browsing etc. The picture was such a huge leap in technology for me and I have enjoyed it immensely. Playing games on my PS5 looks amazing in 4k HDR. This is how console gaming is supposed to look. In addition to gaming, watching movies is like seeing something for the first time. The high frame rate is phenomenal and creates a new way to watch movies and TV. Note, if you aren't a fan of high frame rate in movies or TV, you have the option of disabling it at any time. Note, so far the only bug I have experienced with this TV had to do with the eARC HDMI connection from my 7.1 Onyko stereo receiver to the TV. For whatever reason, one day the ARC input was only showing a black screen when attempting to use any device via the eARC HDMI connection. In order to fix this issue I had to unplug and plug the TV power cord back in. This only happened once and I haven't had any further issues.

Amazing TV! Worth Every Penny
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My wife and I were in the market for a new TV for our house and we did some browsing at Best Buy and noticed that the color palette that Sony uses was the most aesthetically pleasing to our eyes. Samsung and LG were a little too harsh, whereas the Sony was easier to watch for longer periods of time. We decided on this particular Sony because it was on sale and had wonderful reviews. And wow! It certainly deserves all of my 5 stars! This TV has the easiest settings adjustment of any TV I have ever owned. The smart TV functions are perfect for an "all-in-one" TV experience. I am to the point where I may not even need my PlayStation 4 or Xbox anymore, as I used to use those devices to run Netflix, Youtube, etc. The size of the TV is also very sleek and the easy to remove packaging and setup just added to the experience of getting this TV ready for our entertainment. I would absolutely recommend this product to any of my friends, family members, and coworkers. What a TV. Like the title says.. Worth. Every. Penny.

||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quality is excellent. Exceptional 65" TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is a great buy for the price. I am very happy with my purchase. The black levels are excellent. The picture is beautiful viewing movies like Avengers: Endgame, 1917, The Dark Knight Rises, and Skyfall. I didn't think I would be a fan of the Android TV experience, but it has grown on me. The only thing I haven't loved about the Android TV experience is that I can't seem to find a good web browser for the TV. I prefer the Amazon fire stick's Amazon Silk browser over anything I've downloaded on the Google Play store for the TV. But yeah the TV is simply amazing in my book. A big two thumbs up for me.
