This is a bad TV for Gamers as it still lacks VRR and ALLM even though they advertise it as having these features it does not. If you have an Xbox Series X, buy an LG or Samsung. They are Gamers friendly brands. I reached out to Sony just to ask when I cold expect the VRR and ALLM update and they refuse to give any information. Additionally, the blur issue at 120hz on consoles is horrible. Support called me crazy when I reported it and a day or two later they confirmed it publicly. Sony prefers to not share info with their customers on the electronics side.

We are sorry you're having a blur issue at 120Hz on consoles. We heard you and rest assured that we take your feedback seriously as it helps improves our product. There is a software issue in video processing when using the TV in Game/Graphics mode. A firmware update version v6.0414 is now available for this issue.

I was very hesitant about moving to a “smart tv” even though I wanted the 4k visuals for the new gaming systems... and just tv in general. I could almost kick myself for waiting so long to upgrade but I’m just not that flexible.

I bought it because I’m going to upgrade to a new Xbox soon so I needed a 4K tv with good frame rates. Works great for movies and even had a great deal with a sound bar for Black Friday.

I have been using int primarily for next gen gaming but have no issues w the quality at all. There have been 2 occasions that the audio stopped working and the TV required a restart. Outside of that it’s been fantastic.

Its easy to setup and the language can be set to Japanese easily which was a plus to our family, The black edge of the TV is much narrow compare to the other brand which makes the TV more stylish.

The first unit I bought had wifi issues, and the TV would not find any networks at all. The second issue was sudden flickering. Returned that unit in exchange for another one(same model). So far, it's working fine.

I'm coming from a basic older 4k tv so this was a huge improvement. Its not as bright as some other tv's out there, but it doesn't need to be, I don't even have the brightness to max and it still looks amazing.

Sony 65" X900H - *CAUTION* Very disappointing

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I started out looking at TV's that will support HDMI 2.1 for the XBOX Series X, and started at LG NANO 85 49". It was great but need a bigger TV to go with my medium sized living room, so went with a 65", which left me a little more contrast desired, So I went with the Sony 65' X900H due to reviews and Best Buy's awesome Black Friday price..boy that was a HUGE mistake!! While the color, brightness and contrast were outstanding, the unfortunate lack of QC or testing of their new firmware update for running 4K @ 120hz completed crashed my panel. My power started shutting down automatically flashing 4 red lights. I did a little research and found out that Sony has a history of issues with their firmware updates completely damaging their displays. I tried hard resetting the TV as instructed by Sony's website, and couldn't get the TV to stay on longer than 10 seconds without it shutting down and giving me the 4 flashing red lights. I called Sony's service line and they had me go through exactly what I was already doing following the instructions on the website, which in the end was told your TV needs to be serviced. I advised that I just purchased this TV 3 days ago, and this should not be happening to a TV that's still running $1400 normal price. Needless to say, since I purchased this only 3 days ago, I was able to return it. This whole experience has steered me away from ever buying a Sony TV ever again!! Along with the promise that this TV will support VRR and ALLM, after having the issue with this rushed firmware update for 4K @ 120hz I'd imagine it's going to me a nightmare for Sony when the calls start coming in with the crashing and failures. Do yourself a favor and either go with an LG or Samsung to save yourself from extreme frustration and headache. Although the IPS panel on the LG leaves a little to be desired on the contrast side, I will be extremely happy with my magic remote, VRR, ALLM and 4K @ 120hz for my XBOX Series X on my LG NANO 90.

I was waiting until black friday to pull the trigger and I took it home. I set it up next to my $300 budget LG tv I bought from Walmart. Try as I might I could not make it look better than the cheap LG! I looked up video settings to get a better picture but it still wasn't anything compared to my expectations. I wanted to convince my girlfriend that this was worth the money but honestly neither of us was impressed. I ended up returning it. Not a bad quality TV by any means, maybe I hyped it up too much.

I really want to love this TV and I did for 10 days...then it started having sound skip issues when trying to use it with my brand new SONY Sound system. Finally after lengthy chat with SONY support I find out this is a KNOWN Defect they are working on a fix...please continue to check back for issue resolutions. In the mean time deal with it. They gave me several workarounds that did NOT work and one that works, but sound is crummy. I would NEVER have purchased a brand new TV - KNONWING that it would not work properly and would require a firmware update.
