We have to unplug the TV to get it back on. Highly, highly aggravating. We go to settings and turn it on (many, many, many times), but it shuts itself off. The only remedy is to unplug the TV to reset it.

First, it does not provide true 4k @ 120hz and there is still a blur issue after the latest update that Sony fails to acknowledge. Second, the TV has no sound issues. Third, sometimes the TV turns on by itself. Fourth, there is still no VRR nor ALLM. Fifth, customer support is bad and provides conflicting or non-helpful information. Finally, there are other issues that people have mentioned on Reddit and the Sony Community page. Stay away from Sony TV!

We value your opinion and we would like to apologize if you are having problems with the TV having no sound and turning on by itself randomly. This is definitely not the experience we wanted you to have in our product. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the 4K 120Hz blurry quality, VRR, and ALLM features. Please allow us to help you and turn this into a better experience. Verify the connections. Make sure the sound output is set to TV speakers and not Audio system if you are using the TV built-in speaker. If the the TV turns on randomly, you can isolate this issue by follow the steps on the link below.

We have issued a firmware update recently that adds support for the 4K 120Hz signal format and may help resolve some of these issues. You should have received a notification on your TV to download the latest firmware, just make sure you have an active internet connection.
You will need to set the TV HDMI Signal format to Enhanced format for your source device to recognize the 4K 120Hz capability of the TV.
Note: Make sure your device is connected to the HDMI 3 or HDMI 4 input on the TV using the supplied Certified Premium HDMI cable.
1. Select Settings → Watching TV → External inputs → HDMI signal format.
2. Select the input the device is connected to (either HDMI 3 or HDMI 4), and then change the setting to Enhanced format.
For VRR and ALLM, there are plans to make these features available via a software update. Please make sure Software Auto update is set to ON (for future software updates). We also recommend visiting our support website Sony.com for future updates information and announcements. For more information, refer to the link below.

I did a factory reset and it has not fixed the problem. I tried contacting support but was on hold and never reached anyone. If this bug can be fixed, this would change to a five star review.

We are sorry to hear that your TV intermittently restarts by itself. This is usually not the case with our premium TV. Please be assured we take this very seriously and continuously strive to improve our products and services.
In the meantime, Please try doing a soft reset by holding down the power button for 8 seconds then choosing reset. Also ensure that the TV is using the most current firmware. If that doesn’t correct the issue follow the troubleshooting steps on the Help Guide.
