I purchased this sound bar as part of a promo with my new Sony 4K TV in early 2016. This sound bar is amazing - with a true surround sound home theatre experience. Setup was a breeze, and took less than 5 minutes - and syncs nicely with the 4K TV. There are 3 HDMI inputs available that allowed me to hook up my cable and PS4 and TV to the sound bar, and each works perfectly. Overall, highly recommended, especially if you have a Sony 4K TV.

I bought this on sale to go with my Sony X930E and it pairs nicely. The sound fills my living room from the one bar and the bass rattles my floor and the walls when watching proper blu-ray and 4K movies. I've used it to stream music through Bluetooth and it handles that well too as the sound quality is great using the ClearAudio setting as using the music setting for me washed out some of the mid tones. Overall it's a good sound bar that suits my needs that I got because it was more than half off with my tv purchase. If it's still on sale with that promotion I recommend it.

This bar has great sound quality and unbelievable power. The output is more than my home could ever need.

I really like the Sony sound bar, the HT ST9...IT Sounds excellent and connected easily to my new Sony tv..... It definitely gets plenty loud for tv shows and watching YouTube videos....it is quite expensive, but it was a nice addition to the tv.

this sound bar is by far one of the best sound bar in the market! the sound and connectivity is incomparable. easy to use!

Plug and play ease of connecting with the Sony TV. Had a bit of difficulty designing a bracket system to mate with the TV wall mount.

This bar was way out of my price range, but a helpful salesman let me expand my thinking. This is a very good sound bar. I was converting from a traditional 5.1 Paradigm system so I was nervous about going to a single bar with sub. No regrets. It's not the same as a great 5.1, but since the media room was remodeled, the old large speakers were no longer an option. The Sony sub is one of the better soundbar subs, but not as good as my Paradigm. But it is good enough for a family room. Dialog is crisp. Contrary to the Best Buy description, this unit does hook up to WiFi and supports Google Cast. I love casting music from my phone first thing in the morning. It integrates nicely with my Sony TV.

First, I purchased a Sony 2.1 HT NT5 soundbar and sub (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-2-1-channel-hi-res-soundbar-system-with-wireless-subwoofer-and-digital-amplifier-black/4890100.p?skuId=4890100). The very next day, this 7.1 model went on sale for half-price. I picked one up ASAP and brought it home to compare the two models. All along, my intent was to have an affordable surround sound system with rear speakers so I could hear flying bullets and screeching tires across the room in action sequences. This system boasted new technology that would project rear sound. (It didn't.) I was further disappointed to learn from Sony support that I couldn't add my new Sony wireless rear speakers to this system (http://www.bestbuy.com/site/sony-wireless-speaker-with-integrated-amplifier-black/4914504.p?skuId=4914504). I returned this setup and kept the HT NT5 I'd purchased the day before. (Note: If you're more interested in bass than surround sound, this is the system for you. I will say, the sub blew me away (and my neighbor (who said she thought she was hearing a thunderstorm when I asked her if she could hear the system and if it disturbed her). That said, unless you want bass, I would recommend paying full price...half price, maybe.?!)

Great ! This soundbar is awesome it sounds great and is easy to setup! Bluetooth works with great range! There is no delay when you are in tv or movie mode. The bass is thunderous! This is the best bang for your buck.

I purchased this to go with my new Sony 55inch 4K 3D TV. It has a wireless subwoofer that can go anywhere. One speaker pointed forward, one pointed down. The bar itself is about 4 inches shorter in length than the TV. Easy connections with hdmi cables. My family room is 17' X 23' and carpeted. This sound bar and sub will blow you away with no distortion at all.

Best Soundbar for the Money. Sub is improved over than ST7's.

I love my Sony sound bar. The quality is amazing. I've only had two issues with this product. First, I have an LG tv and I discovered that LG doesn't always play nice with non-LG products. Secondly, the motherboard burned out after only a year. Took it back to Best Buy and they fixed it. Not it works great!

This is a great sound system. I purchased a Sony 4K tv and I waited a few months to save up for this soundbar so I used the tv for a while without speakers. This really completes the package. It adds the full ranges of music and effects and the subwoofer really pounds. The sub has a down and forward facing speaker. I researched all of the sony models, Bose, and Sonos. If you are going to buy a Sony soundbar , I suggest that you just buy this top of the line model, it is better than the others. I added two Zr5's as well. I have no complaints. I always go all sony for the build quality and integration of the components. Sony is a goood company.I have always bought Sony products, and I will continue to do so.

We purchased this sounder to pair with our 75" Sony Tv that we purchased after black Friday. The sound quality is great for our small home theater. We definitely are not sound enthusiasts but it sounds great to us.

So far I've been happy with it, way better than my tv speakers. I've had a few software glitches.

I purchased this sound at because I got a great deal on it. Had if for a month then it stopped working. Sony paid to ship it to them and they are fixing right now. For a sound at its pretty nice and I like the features.

I got this open-box and during an open-box sale, so I paid approximately 50% of retail cost. That in mind, for what I paid this is a great soundbar. It fills my large room when watching TV, provides clear dialogue and bass, all while blending nicely with my decor. It's easy to program your remote (I have Comcast) to control it. I also use this for music, but I am slightly disappointed with the audio quality during music playback. I'm going to try pairing this with 2 of the Sony SRSZR5 as rear speakers and see if I can get the sound I'm looking for. All things considered I really like this sound bar, but I'd never pay the full $1400 retail price for it.

I have had a lot of speakers over the years but when it comes to buying a single soundbar speaker this is for sure the best one I have ever had the sound quality is very good along with the subwoofer it just has some very great quality sound! This is a 7.1 surround sound system I have only had it for about a month now but I love it very much with it's quality sound it's for the BEST one single soundbar speaker I have ever had for sure!

For this sony st9 7.1 soundbar, I am very satisfied that it has very good sound and shocking bass, the only drawback is that it can no longer be linked to zr7 or zr5 as surround sound, so I give it 4 stars

This soundbar is huge, but sounds amazing. It is so large against our TV my wife gave me the green light to get a larger one. So win win for me (I mean us)... Awesome sounds and a new TV. We replaced and old Sony receiver and Bose speaker set-up. We love the Bluetooth and WiFi connectivity, the HDMI input, set-up was easy. Getting the open box unit from bestbuy.com saved some serious cash and it was in excellent condition as described on the site.
