I purchased this receiver to replace a high end Sony HT receiver. My older unit still works great however, an accidental press of a button would leave the family without surround sound until I came home and changed the settings back. This receiver is perfect for the "less techie" family. Plenty of adjustment without the complexity.

I bought it on sale, and it performs pretty much as expected, so it was a good deal. But it has its limits (it sounds fine, but the biggest thing to me is you can't do much to improve its range), so be sure to read up on it.

Do not like that it has to be hooked up to a TV in order to program radio stations.

Reasonable price for a good quality receiver. Easy to set up.

When my ancient receiver finally gave up the ghost, I started looking for a replacement. This is not the primary receiver but used in the Master Bedroom so I wanted something economical. The receiver works great, and with the hdmi inputs it also functions as a great switching center for the bedroom system. The looks may not be to everyone's taste but it is a Sony and that works for me.

We use this as a base of our home theater and it works great. We use it with a Logitech universal remote - and Sony brand in general works well. This particular model doesn't have Bluetooth - but we don't really use that feature - and receivers that do include Bluetooth are only receiving Bluetooth - not transmitting (which for many uses - like Bluetooth headphones - is counter intuitive).

Much better system than my previous system. Simple to set up and sound is great.

I used this to run sound to a multi-room speaker set up. It was easy to get up and running and the sound is excellent. I only wish it were easier to set up FM presets — it assumes you've got a video monitor attached... which is a pretty stupid design move on Sony's part.

This receiver is very easy to use and set up. plus, It has a wonderful sound.

The bought this receiver because my previous pioneer receiver would occasionally play white noise at full volume. Since I only use 5.1 speaker I did not need anything fancy. This was easy to setup. It programmed to my Harmony remote with no issues. The display on the receiver lets you customize the inputs. the receiver powers 5 NHT large speakers with no problems.

I used this for my record player, and ps4 and it sounds great, easy setup.

Easy setup and is great quality for the price. Love the option to add 2 subs.

We have been able to connect all of are devices to this receiver.It has been fairly simple to use although we are having some problem connecting it to our directv remote.
