loud crisp sound. can control tv, xbox, etc. not bad for the price

Works for me for a bedroom plenty of power and sounds good to me

Using this for music in our main living room as well as powering speakers throughout our house. Lots of power. We've used it to run 4 sets of 8" in ceiling speakers plus an average size pair of bookshelf speakers with no problems. Sounds good, easy to use and set up.

The tuner was very easy to install. The product is very nice and has great sound!

you can't beat this for the price. let's hope the parts will last. it's fast and easy to set up with the microphone. the test tones are not too loud. it incorrectly set my small speakers as large. the menu on the TV screen or on the unit is easy to navigate to change any settings such as speaker size, db levels, crossover, bass & treble, distance etc. the remote is very nice with large buttons. it sounds colorful, fun, crisp and dynamic on blu rays and dvd. not as good on HDTV to my ears. but most people wouldn't have a problem with it. I'm used to a pioneer elite. the presets for stereo, movie, and music (portable music stereo for example) sound good. I use 5.2 def tech speakers which best buy also sells. this has just enough inputs for a basic home theater setup.

Great little stereo system for condominiums, apartments, etc. Lots of nice features like disabling TV audio when a video input is selected and the pass through video when turned off. Very capable system for the money. Does everything I want

This is my first receiver so I don't have much to compare too but to start I like the ARC Feature. Your tv will need it as well to operate properly. I like that all he cables go to the receiver and only 1 hd cable from their to the back. It was fairly easy to connect. Figuring out where to put it was the real challenge. It seems to distribute the sound properly and has a nice sleek design. It's kind of bulky though and it gets super hot so you have to keep it well vented. Other then that it's a good product. Had it for a few months now and is reliable. Only complaint is one of my devices even though is off needs to be unplugged in order to switch to another viewing device, otherwise I will get picture but no sound. Strange but I found the work around.

Could not be happier with Sony receivers. Ingrates with my Sony TV, lots of power. Another home run for Sony. If you like Sony, or are looking for something rock solid, this receiver is great. All I do is turn on the source (like AppleTV, Xbox, whatever and it automatically turns on the receiver, Sony TV. Then it powers down when the signal is turned off - automatically, too. Awesome.

Easy to set up and use. Works great for my surround sound set up!

I bought this receiver to go with a Samsung 48" 4k HD LED TV and have it running a pair of Klipch Reference bookshelf speakers and a 10" 300watt Klipsch R-10SW subwoofer. This receiver has 725 watts (90 per channel, which is alot more than most receivers including high end receivers), HD pass through, 2 subwoofer preamp outputs, an on-screen display, auto speaker calibration, eq and great options for inputs and outputs. Sure this receiver is entry level but it's not. Its a quality Sony product with great powerful sound and great features. Don't let the low pricetag throw you. Considering the inflation/decline in the cost of electronics nowadays, its really the equivalent to buying a $500+ receiver a few years back.

Our previous surround system stopped working so I began researching a cheap, dependable replacement. This Sony Receiver has worked perfectly. I had it working within minutes out of the box. The included microphone will set the 5 speaker volumes for you, but I tweaked them to my personal preference in the menu setups because I needed more out of the surround (rear) speakers. It requires a powered sub-woofer. It does a great job with any HDMI device or RCA connector I have run through it: TV, laptop, blu-ray player, etc. It will automatically turn off after a few minutes through the laptop if it does not detect any video streaming (like if I am just browsing a webpage), but I am sure this is a menu setting somewhere. Very satisfied with this quality sound and picture for a $200 receiver.

Like the receiver. But disappointed no product manual came with the unit. went on line to get it and there were too many pages to navigate. Then found out I could buy the manual. REALLY! Never had to buy a manual in my life. and it's over 200 pages and was not about to waste ink and paper to print it.

This unit replaced my previous Sony. This one has the HDMI connections that I needed. The manual needs to be more in-depth. It fails to discuss the use of the menu etc on the remote. Set up amazed me. I didn't get the on screen instructions, and at first I didn't have sound coming from the rear speakers. But, about an hour into listening, it set itself to configure the sound to the speakers. All of a sudden I was hearing what I should via all of the speakers. I'm still trying to learn more and am going online to read reviews for help. It does perform very well and is a perfect replacement for my old system. Less bells and whistles, but supports my needs.

This receiver is quite affordable and it does come with some good options. For the price it is a good value but there are better out there for just a little more or even for less if you do your research and price shop.

Got this for $149. I'm totally happy within receiver. Clean power at max volume. Great features also. Have to get full manual online. Need to connect to TV to get to the menu. Other than that, great buy.
