Works better than my tv speakers or my sound bar did. Wish it would have had a Ethernet connection so that I could connect all my accessories to this unit and sent them to the TV via one hdmi cable but had to use the toslink to get sound through my speakers from Internet connections.

Only have 5 ports for speakers wish it had six but gives great sound. Need updated HDMI cord for optimal audio experience

2 channels on my old tuner has stopped working and when I hooked this one up it was like a miracle! I forgot what it was supposed to sound like and this tuner brought it all back perfectly.

Very good entry level receiver. Sounds awesome for what it is. Didn't need to pay more for a more expensive one for bluetooth, wifi since i already have that on my other devices.

We got the receiver on sale on black Friday and it works great with our existing speakers. The built in speaker calibration during set up is a great feature. It's basically plug and play.

Great sound and options for such a budget receiver. Holds it's own and pushes the sub and tower speakers I have well. Not the easiest menu to use, but overall it's not too bad. Definitely recommend unless you have a super complex setup, but this thing will even allow 2 subs as far as I know, and plenty of options to customize EQ, speaker sizes, and easy to turn off/on center channel speaker when just needing the stereo speakers and sub.

I got this receiver for my wall mounted directional surround sound system in my living room. I was replacing an old unit, and the difference is outstanding. I didn't want to spend too much for a receiver because, well they all do the same thing. Some have a few more bells and whistles then others, but over all its about sound. This receiver delivers great sound and has some neat features. I had Best Buy price match and got this one for a small price.

Good for the price. I am replacing a Harmon Kardon AV receiver that died with this one. About half the cost of the original and the sound is fine. I just am having trouble getting the manual from the website. Bare minimum included in box. Must be the server is flooded from the coastal hurricane. Sound quality is ok but couldn't get auto setup with the mike to work. Good for a cheapskate like me.

Very pleased overall with this product. A bit challenging to set up because I have a Bose speaker system so I really had to read the instructions to get it set where I needed it. The only thing I dislike is it doesn't seem to put out as much LFE as my previous 15 year old receiver did with the Bose system but I still may have some tweaking to do. Overall I'm very please with the product.

I purchased this Sony STRDH550 receiver to replace my ancient BOSE system. I kept the Bose cube speakers but replaced the sub with a Pioneer 10". I couldn't be more happy with this receiver. The install was almost plug & play due to the HDMI interface. Don't let the 725 watt / 145 watt per channel fool you. The sound is incredible and for the money I don't think this receiver can be beat. Only time will tell how it holds up.

Bought this receiver to replace an Onkyo which failed after 2 1/2 years with minimal use. This Sony receiver was highly rated and is perfect with my Epson projector!

The auto set up feature on this receiver did a beautiful job of making my very inexpensive speaker system sound better than it ever has. I recommend this receiver.

nicely packed, instructions were very easy to understand and the quick setup guide made setup a breeze.attached all surround sound speakers and used the auto mike setup( mike is included) and the software did most of the work. used in an exercise room so there is background noise from the machines, but it sounds pretty good, cant beat the price
