The picture quality is top notch, but for some reason the Hulu and YouTube apps are giving me issues. Hulu keeps giving me playback errors and YouTube just dies after 2 seconds. I was able to temporarily fix the issue with Hulu a couple of weeks ago by uninstalling and reinstalling the apps. Just ran into the same problem again today. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling again to no avail. For YouTube I just cleared the cache and it worked. I don't use YouTube much, so haven't checked if the problem has returned. Disney+, Netflix, and Amazon Prime Video work perfectly fine. I stream on 4 other tvs in the house (2 Sharps and 2 Samsungs) using Hulu with no issues. I may just go to the Amazon Firestick and stream that way, but that defeats the purpose of having the apps available on the tv...

Recently installed , the SONY 85" TV performs amazingly, the 4K feature offers a great improvement over past model, even with 4K programming being limited , picture is improved, especially with such a large screen.

Literally went into the store for the purchase and received it bright and early the next day. TV is great, love the size and the price was competitive.

I upgraded my 75" Vizio to this TV and am quite happy with the choice. I'm giving it 4 stars because it does take quite a bit of adjustment and tweaking to get the coloration just right. Once it is dialed in, the picture is quite good. The contrast ratio could be a bit better, but for the price, your average person could overlook that. It definitely performs better in a room with some lighting as darker environments show a little more gray than black, but that is likely due to the direct LED. All in all, I am very satisfied, but if you are very serious about your home theater experience, the 950 model might be a better choice provided you are comfortable with the price point.

It’s like the people on the screen are right here in the living room great picture sound and easy to setup Sony is the best in my book and Best Buy was also great to work with getting the geek squad out to remove the old Sony 65 ‘’ a 2006 model that I gave to my brother and the geeks installed the new tv in no time at all I love this 85’’ Sony and would recommend it to anyone that’s looking for a larger screen tv this is the one you need for a large room .

Had a 65 inch tv because it was great for the time. This 85 inch was on sale and I actually went in for an 86 inch lg. Glad I spent the extra 100 dollars. Picture is amazing.

Moved in to a new house with a super long living room. We had a 65 inch TV, but because of the size of the room, it looked ridiculously small. We upgraded to this TV and WOW is it beautiful. Plenty of connections to accommodate an Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch, and connects flawlessly to my Sonos beam. Everyone that comes over comments on how good the TV looks. I can read everything on the screen with no problem now. The picture is beautiful and the streaming features work fairly quickly. I'm not sure about the sound, as it has been connected to a sound bar since it was installed.

Really love the picture and size. Don’t hesitate to buy this tv especially right now that its on sale, you’ll be happy.

Really impressive TV. Exactly what I expected for the price. The 85inch model represents a big jump up in price form the 75” and while the extra real estate is worth it to me it is a lot. But unless you want to pay double or triple you can’t really improve on the quality much. But I have found the Android TV side of things to be pretty glitchy. And in two months the f ownership have had to reset things to factory default three times to resolve issues. Two times with the plex app having vision but no sounds and once where things just froze up. Not bad maybe just needs another update to be perfect.

Okay, really tough call here, but here's my answer. The many different arrays on these TV can effect viewing angles. As much as I wanted to go with the x900 (x950 just a bit pricey), the viewing angle with the 850 worked best for my family room. I have had many people over (pre-CoVid) and everyone remarked how nice the picture was. And it is a good picture, just the x900 and x950 are noticeably better... except their viewing angle. I can't stress this enough. If you have a wide angle.. then the 850. If you're in front of it... no doubt x900 minimum.

The TV is HUGE! My last TV was 65 inch so this took a little adjustment due to the size. We are very happy with it plus we got a good price.

This is by far the best value you can get for a large TV. The 4K picture quality and color are fantastic. The tv smart features are great as well they work very fast switching between Netflix, YouTube or Disney+ ....Overall I’m super happy with this 85 inch TV and if you are considering it go for it !!!! ... A quick note in Bestbuy and kuddos for them in their price match guaranteed !!! I originally purchased this TV at $2499 and 10 days later this tv dropped to $1999 ... I just went to Bestbuy and they gave me back a total of $530 dollars !!!

TV, has is clear crisp clean picture. Easy to hang. Easy to use. Using as a display and several people have commented on the picture quality of the images

Great picture the best tv on the market for an amazing price I love watching sports on it the color on this tv brings is nothing but the best.

Big bold beautiful picture. Best smart TV functionality with Android TV. I went to the movies not long after I had this TV and was very critical of the picture on the movie screen. I told my wife the picture on my TV was much better than the theater. The only problem I had with the TV was the Android TV needed to be rebooted on occasion. At first this required me to unplug the TV. I discovered that if I just hold the power button down for a few seconds it would reboot. an easy solution. I highly recommend this TV.

The tv is big and it’s colorful. Have a recurring problem of the apps will freeze every couple of days. The tv will need to be force shutdown. Called Sony and they just take notes down with no real solution and says call us again when it happen. Over all we have learn to live with it. For $ 2k+ tv, we should more than just live with it. Waiting for a software update that might fix it. The apps when working is very nicely laid out and easy to navigate.

Nice picture while watching sports and movies! Very user friendly out of the box. Best sound for any large screen picture I've ever owned!!

Big Sony fans, great picture easy navigation and set up. Put blackout curtains in our watching space and enjoying every minute!
