Customers are saying
Customers are impressed with the Alpha a6000's camera quality, ease of use, and compact size, frequently praising its lightweight design. Many also appreciate the camera's features and find it offers good value for the price. However, some users note that the battery life could be improved, and low-light performance and autofocus could be more reliable. The telephoto lens's autofocus functionality has also received some criticism.

Great little camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great pictures, fast auto focus. Unlike conventional 35mm cameras, f-stop and arpeture are set electronically. Mirror less lens means great quality without distortion. Better manual for operating would take it to 5 stars.

Great start when looking to use mirrorless cameras
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A great camera for learning to use mirror less cameras. It's been around for a few years but is still widely used. It has many functions and built in features that you need to explore. one thing it should come with is a body cap for the camera when the 16-50mm lens is off, and the same for the back of the lens.

Great decision!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking for a lighter camera that was lighter and easier to maneuver than my current DSLR. And I found it! After a lot of research and looking I finally decided on the Sony Alpha a6000. I am very pleased with the decision. The camera met all of my qualifications. It is light, was easy to learn to operate and the pictures are a beautiful. I even found an adapter that allows me to use my Tamron zoom lens. The price was in my budget and I feel I got a true upgrade.

Good value, great quality!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have had my camera for a few months now, and it's served me well. Recently after limited use though, I had an issue with the camera not recognizing the lens. I took it in to geek squad and with my warranty, my camera got fixed in approximately 1-1.5 weeks. I had gone back and forth between a DSLR and going mirrorless, and for quality and portability purposes I really enjoy the a6000. Now it's not full frame, for those that care. Quality is really good. Let's find out how durable they are...i'll update you day.

Great camera
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this camera! I did a lot of research and finally made the jump. I am still learning the ends and outs of everything this camera can do, it is amazing! I also like that it is so small and lightweight. You can use it right out of the box, but take the time to get to know what it can do. It will be well worth it.

Amazing camera for a beginner
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I made a switch from the canon rebel t6 to the sony a6000 and im happy about that. I always wanted to own this and im glad i did. Its easy to use, the quality of the pictures are amazing and yes its quite pricey for a beginner camera but its worth it way better than the rebel t6 from canon.

First camera ever
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve always wanted a DSLR, so I decided to go in to the store. They told me this was better and had much more options. I did some research and ended up getting the Sony. It has a lot of options and I’m still learning everything. I love the picture quality and how light it is.

Great camera, missing a key feature
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Evaluated lots of cameras prior to taking a Hawaii vacation. Sony was the best option for us to get great picture quality and a non-bulky camera. On our trip, the camera performed great and easy to swap out lenses when needed. When we got back, I realized the key feature gap on the camera - geotagging. I had to spend hours on the backend of the trip remembering where we were and manually entering the location. Minor annoyance - with a $1k camera, i would have expected an external charger to come with it.

DSLR to Mirrorless affordably
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not wanting to get rid of my DSLRs because of lenses, I decided to try the affordable Sony Alpha 6 with a lens kit. Having vacationed with friends recently, one of whom had bought his first camera with interchangeable lenses, I decided to splurge on this, the same kit he had purchased before the holiday travels. I am not sure I am ready to give up my Nikon DSLR. I have a larger selection of lenses, but I figure this would be a nice kit for when I wanted to have something like a point & shoot for the convenience, but more than a point & shoot for the better photography control (& higher quality). This fits that niche well. I think, however, when I moved to a mirrorless platform and leave my DSLRs behind, I may have to look at the Nikon Mirrorless as well as a higher end Sony Alpha--depending on which one better adapts my existing lenses. Glass is just as an expensive part of my camera equipment as my cameras themselves.

Great camera for objects on the move
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. When looking and researching cameras the Sony A600 was not even an option. In fact the only thing I knew was that I did not want a Sony. My last Sony camera was point and shoot and I hated it and never used it. But the Sony A6000 is AMAZING!! I have small children that move so quickly that they would usually be a blur. Not with this camera. I also have an older child that plays sports and I can catch everything! With so many focal points and the large number of photos per second I can actually catch the ball coming and going in perfect still frames with no blur. This camera has face detection which is great when your child is in a crowd singing it can pick them out and focus on them. It also has smile detection and will take a photo when that person smiles. Great for events and weddings. Over all this camera is everything I needed and WAY MORE!!

Great camera and easy to use.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was originally looking for a Canon DSLR camera but didn't like the weight and bulk of them. This camera has the same if not more features and is almost the size of a point and shoot. The pictures look amazing and my wife and I are far from professionals, we took great action shots of our sons baseball games.
