,,, a good DSLR. The images are grainy at ISO 800+. Skin looks waxy at close crops. My 12 megapixel Nikon D70 does much better. (Pixel count isn't the only factor in photo quality.) This camera is ok (better than a point-n-shoot) if you're new to the game. But if you're used to DSLR quality, you'll be disappointed with the A6000. I know I was. As for recommending it to a friend: I'd only do it if all he or she was used to was a point and shoot camera. If you have a DSLR, the only positive points I can see in the A6000 over a DSLR is it's much lighter, more compact, and shoots faster.

If your looking for a camera that is not expensive but want professional quality than this camera will make you happy.

This is my first camera that is not a point and shoot. The camera is very easy to use and takes great pictures. The two lenses that are included actually work very well too. I bought this package and bought an extra 35mm prime lens, and that has been the perfect setup for family trips, sports events, etc.

After purchasing this camera, I sold my Sony A33 and Samsung NX1000. This camera does it all and then some!!!!

I took this to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro and for a Safari and it was perfect. Amazing pictures

This camera is perfect for beginners, the ui is very easy to understand, the only problem I can see is that when you focus, it still had a bokeh effect as if not wanting to focus all the way.

Ive been doing alot of research and one day i was in the store with no intentions of buying this day and everything about this package was what i needed and have been looking for. Magnifying images by ael button after shot does not make new picture. Little hard to set up. Gives excellent picture quality, shoots great videos, love the remote by cell phone feature.

This thing is very fast nice auto focus, i use it for traveling camera.. Good size light easy to use..

This camera is just what we needed to upgrade our current fixed lens camera. Still learning but is pretty intuitive and manuals helpful in learning how to get the most from the camera.
