This camera is easy to use. It comes with 2 starter lens and a carrying bag. I wish it came a lens to shoot long range as well as short range. It was a good price on sale. Two weeks later the price was on sale for another $200.I bought Hoya Lens filters to protect them from damage. I also bought a send battery, external battery charger, a 32GB SD card and protective lower case. The camera is light at 1 lbs. with the shorter lens and 1.5. lbs. with the longer lens. It can shoot 11 shots per second. I used the flash as some without was too dark. Nice pictures and videos. Note that it takes a while to charge the battery and comes with a internal charger with no SD card. I would have been nice if it had 2 more covers to cover the back of the lens and the camera body when not connected.

    The little beast

This camera is a tiny BEAST. It has by far the biggest bang for your buck. If you are looking for a DSLR with interchangeable lens mirror-less camera in APS-C form factor then this is it. The camera has fast focus, fast FPS speeds @ 11 fps it sounds like a machine gun when in burst mode. The colors are vivid with great contrast. The only negative on this camera is the short battery life. I purchased a second battery for $20 online and now can shoot all day. Very happy with this Camera. See my two sample images attached below. .

Love this camera. It's like a DSLR, but lightweight and compact. Very easy to take on hikes for nature photos. Very fast auto focus, very fast continuous shots. Great quality photos with good lighting (quality drops a little with high ISO, but the photos are still good because it's 24 megapixel). Easy to quickly change settings, such as f-stop, aperture, ISO, focus setting, etc with buttons and knobs. Easy to send photos to smartphone or use the smartphone to control the camera. Takes great 1080 60p video. Easy to switch lenses.

The Sony a6000 has a fantastic reputation for being a camera that can replace a DSLR in most applications, in a smaller/lighter body - similar to an average point-and-shoot or megazoom - without a drop in quality or features. Without going too far into the technical specs, since many reviewers on this site and others have already covered that pretty thoroughly, I can't recommend this camera highly enough. If you are looking for a camera that can do what a similar priced DSLR can do in nearly every capacity, but in a smaller package, this is it. The only cons I can think of is the price of lenses. It's possible to use an adapter to add lenses from other companies, but you lose some functionality in power zoom, I believe. Also, to save battery life since most mirrorless cameras tend to drain them a little quicker than other cameras due to the processor, I recommend turning "airplane mode" on in the settings, until you want use the Bluetooth/NFC options.

We had gone through a series of lower end cameras and just weren't that happy with results especially if at a distance or if there was any kind of action or movement at all. The pictures never seemed to turn out that good (granted I'm sure some is operater error but!!!!). So we took the plunge and got this camera spenders more than we really wanted to. A month later and after using, I have a renewed interest in taking photos - this camera is easy to use and is spectacular! A short list of features I have noticed so far and I'm sure I have only scratched the surface. 1. The lenses the package came with are real good and zoom in from a great distance away. Attending sporting events can easily zoom from upper deck area to get a fairly close up of action and have it be as clear as if I was closer. Excellent. 2. The photos have awesome clarity and detail which I have never had on other cameras. for example: the continuous photo shooting takes very clear photos of action movements - literally can get that snow shower of ice hitting the goalies mask. There is a night lights setting which takes out the blur of lights in say a cityscape at night and everything is sharp. 3. The camera is lightweight and easy to carry around. So far I can't say enough good things about this camera and I'm just a novice at taking photos. A bit expensive yes, but the photos I have taken already in a month are better than any photos taken the last 30 years. I will say the manual is not helpful at all, so to get my tips and info have had to watch you tube videos on the Sony a6000.

I read the reviews, bought the camera and put it to good use immediately. Wonderful ease of use, absolutely stunning pictures and yet small and light. I have had numerous cameras with different brand names and by far this is my favorite camera to use.

I did a ton of research before buying this camera. In fact, I bought a DSLR (Nikon D3300) and returned it before buying this camera. I was looking for something that would capture photos, but also video, of my 3 children. The A6000 is the answer. The camera takes beautiful photos in any situation and allows you full auto or manual control. Portraits, action, low light, videos all turn out great. Burst mode is unbelievably fast and captures the moments that fly by too quickly. The screen tilts for awkward angles. In addition, its size and weight are ideal for carrying around all day without issues.

Love the size of the camera for portability and it has beautiful picture quality even with the kit lenses. Very customizable and so many built in features (many of which I've yet to use) but am excited to explore as I learn about them. Battery can be charged with regular micro usb cord while on the go instead of having to find a wall plug and use a proprietary charger. Well laid out control buttons and dials (although I wish there was a dial on the front like many larger frame cameras) Great price for the quality of the camera, Sony has exceeded my expectations on the last 2 DSLR/Mirrorless cameras I've purchased.

Great camera for enthusiast to pro! Light weight and small like advanced point and shoot, but with interchangeable lenses. Very fast auto focus and fast 11 frames per second shooting speed. Features are too numerous to cover here and many cool apps are available from the Sony store. I haven't done this yet, but my buddy (who I recommended the camera to) has used his iPhone to control his a6000. I have the remote, which allows me to fire the camera without touching it. It is an amazing camera!

Sony camera a6000 is superb and I got it in the bundle with extra lens that adds on the package making it more awesome. image quality is very nice.. Also its not bulky and can be carried easily. Gives you a complete DSLR feel and is worth of your money. Sony once again proved its best and is great product to buy as there are many features that you will surely love it.

This camera is a great camera for people looking for something nicer than a point and shoot. It takes amazing photos and is still easy to use. It's also much lighter than a DSLR camera so it's great for traveling.

I'm a novice when it comes to photography. Till this point, I was content using point and shoot cameras, but was never happy with the picture quality. This camera has changed the way I look at photography. It's not bulky at all compared to the other DSLR cameras, for which I'm thankful. The learning curve is very minimal for novices like me. But the picture quality, boy! You have to see it to believe it. Great work, Sony!!!

The camera package on a whole is very hard to beat. Options or lenses which could have been included in the package are endless and would be based entirely on the photographic style or specific use of the photographer. The tutorials available for this camera are excellent. The size is great for carrying, and the unit is feature rich. Can't go wrong with this one.

The a6000 is one of the best mirrorless interchangeable lens cameras available today! This package is an incredible deal at $749! The kit lens and the 55-210mm zoom give a huge range for capturing your images. With the APS-C sized 24 MP sensor, this system captures beautiful stills! Neither of these lenses would be ideal (although they're certainly capable) for low-light photography, I recommend pairing this camera with a fast prime for great low-light images. Video is fantastic with the camera after the firmware upgrade to version 2.0. I like the kit lens better for video because of the power zoom which makes zooming in and out much more fluid. The power zoom also allows you to take easy advantage of clear image zoom which extends the reach of the lens by 2x without sacrificing much quality. I can't wait to pair my a6000 with the selp18-105/f4!

I was on the fence about buying this camera, because it was very pricey. When I did some research on how much the two lenses cost, I soon realized it was a decent deal. The camera is amazing, and I am by no means a photographer, but the picture quality is awesome. The continuous auto focus is pretty good. It just depends on the action shots that you are trying to get, but it will catch the movements with about 80% accuracy. My only gripe about this camera really doesn't have to deal with the camera itself. When filming with the camera, you have the choice of XAVCHD, AVCHD, and MP4. The best quality would be the XAVCHD, but the camera will prevent you from using this feature if you do not have the right memory card to process the image. From my experience, you will need at SanDisk Extreme Pro 64 GB card which you can get on Amazon for $45. Once you get that card, you will not regret it if you film with it.

Got this to replace my older Sony camera. I take landscape photos and the shots are incredible. Easy to use and lightweight. I used the bonus lens and was able to get nice shots of the full moon. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.

I am surprised, This camera is super perfect. Ease to use and features are the best I ever had. I am upgrading from Sony cyber-shot TX1 to this. Adding the SELP18105G E PZ 18-105mm F4 G OSS makes this camera the BEST for photo and video. Being new, I use Intelligent Auto for most of my photos and I am pretty impressed. If I can take these pics, I am sure anyone can take better pictures with this camera.

I bought this for my son as a starter camera kit. Sony was pushing some heavy discounts over the holidays. That's most likely a sign that the 6100/7000 is right around the corner. It can produce some great images and has high FPS for this level of camera. Auto focus is decent and on par with other mirrorless cameras. Overall it's great light weight kit for someone looking to get into photography.

I am so glad I got this camera. At first I purchased the Sony A5100, That is a great camera as well but I really wanted this camera because of the hot shoe so I can add attachments later on so I returned it and got the A6000. I only got the camera at first and I loved it but then realized the zoom didn't go far, so I was debating if I should buy a zoom lense or return the camera and get the bundle and that's what I did and I am very happy that I did. The auto focus is amazing, the quality of the photos are just out of this world. It is a little intimidating with all the functions and settings but I'm playing with all the features and figuring out what everything does. My favorite feature so far is the NFC wifi capibility. I love taking pictures and sending them straight to my phone saves a lot of time. I didn't expect to pay so much but it's worth it.
